  1. Thai Government invite UK Government/police to confirm the evidence. Job done. The PM can do this

    international face sorted

    International concerns sorted

    International recognition sorted

    RTP reputation sorted

    Public concerns sorted

    Tourism concerns sorted...

Justice for the victims families sorted

So the reason for not doing so is ?

Spot on. The Thai authorities only have themselves to blame because of past failures. The General could do so much for Thai face if they were proven to be correct on this case. Is the case is good, what do they have to lose??

  2. With some notable exceptions, Thai police are generally poorly educated and not very bright but their careers start with paying bribes to pass the police entrance exams.

Youve got to have a degree to get into the police i am led to believe so they are educated to some degree.

As someone who left school at 15 i find your comment about education patronising as if plagiarising Karl Marx from some degree mill somehow makes one intelligent and decent.

They have to pass an entrance exam, not have a degree.

Plagiarism and the presenting of degrees purchased from degree mills are both fraudulent activities and obviously irrelevant when discussing actual education.

You might also care to note the 'and' between 'poorly educated' and 'not very bright', these are entirely separate concepts, but both would apply to you.

Funny how ive a job that means im in the best 1% paid in the UK, you on the other hand have to go to Thailand to find a Issan bride.

    Wow! What do you do?

  3. The idea is to cut the spending to levels where it is reasonably funded from a club's earned income.

And therefore keep the big boys big and the little boys little. And that's the bit I strongly disagree about.

Quite ironic that supporters of the 2 biggest clubs to have money thrown at them welcome a challenge of another team having the same treatment. Yet, others that could lose their place amongst the elite fear it. Cowards.

  4. all of this Thai bashing, is really getting to be too much! Let the police do their work, and stay out of this! This murder, should have never been a topic, open for discussion on this forum. All of the negative bs from TV members has hurt the investigation, I am really embarrassed for some of you, you are really setting back, Thai, Farang relations!! How would you like it if foreigners came to your home country and continually insulted you, calling you stupid and worse. This is a everyday occurrence on TV, I only hope that Thai people are not reading these derogatory comments. Please remember, that Thailand is our host country, and that we are guests, and if we don't like it, then we need to go!

Well maybe if they didn't do such stupid things we wouldn't need to. Or are you suggesting we should tow the line?

  5. The pure fact that we are discussing it, shows there is something wrong with the current system.

    What?

We're discussing it because that sphincter Blatter is messing with our game again.

Think how ridiculous this could get.

Look at Suarez' handball on the line in the WC.

Say the ref didn't spot it, the Uruguayans had run up the other end and banged it in the net.

    Then you get your review.

And the referee disallows the goal, and awards a penalty at the other end, how stupid would that be?

Or how about a referee watching on the TV telling the ref to blow his whistle and award a free kick or something.

    Ludicrous.

    Fraught with danger it is.

Tbh, with that scenario I would rather the truth come out, even at the expense of free flowing football. I don't want a team gaining that kind of advantage through blatant cheating. A knock on effect might be that players will not try to con the ref as much because they know big brother is watching.

Football is a human sport and I don't want to take that away, refs bad decisions included. But for simple decisions that have a major impact, I don't see why technology can't help the ref. Decisions I would include are borderline penalty decisions and reds where the accused is protesting his innocence. To stop the accused just protesting for the sake of it, if they have, say 3 or 5 protests upheld they get a ban or a couple of games.

I wouldn't want it being used for throw ins, corners, and petty such things. As I said, it is a human sport and mistakes will be made.

  6. This system is far to over complicated. Multi angled replays are virtually instant. All it needs is to have a referee sitting in the TV gallery with the guy (or gal) that has access to the replays for a quick viewing to help the pitch referee. The message will be relayed to the ref and the game carries on. There is no need for a manager or any player to get involved.

When there is a decision to be made that can go either way, a manager will just argue about the decision if it doesn't go his way and waste time.

It also shouldn't be up to a manager to appeal against a decision by the ref. If the TV ref can see the pitch ref is making a mistake, why not just help him out with the benefit of the replays?? This doesn't have to be a witch hunt, just an aid to the ref.
