I was in Banphai last month and I heard rumors that a Tesco was to be opening? This would save a trip to Khonkaen if this was true. Has anybody heard these same rumors?

I will be in Chiang Mai in June for approx 1 month, and would like to know the best place to stay..( restaurants, bars, nightlife etc).

I have been to Phuket, Pattaya, Khon Kaen, Nong Kai and so many farang i have spoken too has recommended Chiang Mai.

Iam in Banphai at the moment, and even the Thais here have said that it's nice there.

I have been with the Bangkok bank for 9 years and get $10,000 TT when I want cash. I bank with Westpac in Australia. You will find that by TTing your CASH to the Bangkok Bank you will get approx 1 Baht more than having cash.

You will find that if you get a small ammount of interest twice a year from BB around July and January. I get cash TT then to get a bit more interest, it also helps what you loose when you TT cash over.

Dont pull your cash out of your Aus Bank until after the end of the month, that way you get more interest.
