The problem is that these people wrongly believe they are not human traffickers. Even the Burmese or whoever dont look at it that way. They see themselves couriers or agents that are just collecting a fee for their services. Someone quite rightly said they should be targetting the top of the tree if they are serious about tackling this problem.

If you only vaccinate the elderly, but then drop all restrictions in an attempt to reach herd immunity, then many people would die.
Your making up your answers now...he did NOT say "only vaccinate the elderly".He said continue all vaccinations, but focus on the elderly and vulnerable before the younger.

I think those numbers may not be all that they seem to be... Because, MoPH's official figure for Bangkok's population is 7.7 million, which is what they've been using all along for their vaccination reports...
And as of a week ago, Bangkok had only given 5.9 million doses in total, including 4.88 million first doses. So yes, they would have had added doses in the ensuing week, but not that many....
This is Bangkok province's latest vaccinations report, which shows 4.1 million first doses have been given, and 1.15 million second doses.... out of a total population of 7.7 million.

Genuine question as I dont know the answer......Is the 7.7 million number that they are using, the number of vaccinable aged population i.e. not including children?

Not all. Bueng Kan Province has dropped from 60 odd to 50. All schools shut for 50 cases. Amazing.
Bueng Kan until last week was reporting 3 cases per day which was steady for weeks, then this past week cases went up to 60 plus. Today is the first day numbers actually fell. Similar growth (whilst numbers are relitively small) as Nong Khai. Last week numbers in Pattaya were low, but has now exploded.

If your post wasn't about such a serious subject, it would be laughable. You really are living in a dream world.

Nakhon Ratchasima locks down entire village after Covid-positive woman hosts party to celebrate being freed from prison
Nakhon Ratchasima province on Wednesday prohibited all travel to and from Ban Pong Khok village in Serngsang district’s Nonsomboon subdistrict until July 20 after the district chief reported that three persons in a family tested positive for Covid-19, leading to fears of a new cluster with 36 people from 22 households being classified as high risk.

I would be asking why the hell are prison authorities are releasing Covid 19 positive people back into the community???
Obviously they are only testing a select few prisoners and then releasing them to spread to the whole community!

My school was closed to students but teachers went in. Now teachers must stay at home and have been told they cannot go back to their home provinces. In my opinion schools will not reopen until at the very least November.
I was informed this morning that 2 kids at my daughter's (same year but different class) school have caught Covid. Everyone is learning online and not going to school, but nonetheless it's disturbing to hear of it this close to home. I agree I cannot see schools opening until Term 2 at the earliest.

What has this got to do with sex? Have you ever been on a night out in Bangkok? It's not just Nana, Cowboy and Patpong you know! And as the latter two places are Entertainment Zones, as is RCA, I would think they are unaffected. The Thai establishment and elite fed at the trough of Bangkok's sex trade and nightlife for decades. Now that they have their wealth off the backs of the Thai girls, they want to curfew the operations. Nice going Thais.
Soi Cowboy is NOT in an entertainment zone. You are correct about Patpong and RCA however. There is nowhere along Sukhumvit which is part of an entertainment zone.

Why do you assume that the bodies were embalmed in Thailand? How do you know that they were repatriated via a commercial airline? Do you have a link that shows the commercial airline used?
There was no announcement otherwise. The assumption is that the most common from of repatriation was used.
Well that's your assumption...mine would be a DHL or similar non commercial aeroplane (i.e. non passenger) is just as likely to be used -
It is improbable that the UK inquest will turn up any foreign DNA after a full autopsy and then embalming.

Whatever the outcome, I am mostly concerned about my daughter's welfare and any potential mental damage all of this will do.

Thank you to everyone with your responses. It is greatly appreciated.
As an update, I have visited a lawyer, and yes I am entitled to file charges.
However, my lawyer has advised initially to appeal to the new boyfriend who I have tracked down on Facebook, as she believes my ex has not been honest with him, as he would not jeopardize his visa and legal status in china if he had known the full facts.
I messaged him the full situation from my point of view two days ago, and as of yet received no response.
My lawyer advises that if we receive no response by next Monday, then we will commence legal proceedings. She advised we also lodge the case with the British Embassy.

By thai immergration law,,The mother would have been asked ,at immergration for a paper signed by you, allowing your child to leave the country,,But she had a british passport,,There for immergration, would have thought, she was a british national..Allowing her to leave,,If your child is a british national,,TOUGH,,If your child is thai,,then the mother has broken the law
Sorry, I have been away from the board since I posted my question.
Just to clarify, my daughter has 2 passports... a British and a Thai.
She travelled on her Thai passport as I have her British one in my possession.

I have a 6 year old half British half Thai daughter. Mother is Thai, I am British.
I am registered on my daughter's birth certificate as the father and she has a British passport, as well as a Thai one.
My daughter's mother and I are divorced and the divorce is registered in the amphur office (thonglor) and it is noted we have 50/50 custody.
I currently live in Thailand and have done so for the past 14 years.
About 12 months ago, my ex started a new relationship with a farang guy who works in Shenzhen China, which until recently I had no problems with. However within the past week, have discovered the pair have taken my daughter out of Thailand and have enrolled her in a school in China.
I have been trying to get access to my daughter for the last 4 months (before that everything was smooth and I saw my daughter at least 3 or 4 times a week).
During the last 4 months my calls are either unanswered or I'm hung up on.
I may be mistaken, but I believe my approval would have to be given if my daughter was to be taken out of Thailand.
I will go and consult a lawyer, but would appreciate any feedback from forum members.

In 2010 the protest leaders were paying the protesters to protest. I think there was even talk about ID confiscation to keep them there. ( Not sure if that part is true) In 2013/2014 the protesters themselves were funding the protests. Giving cash to Suthep. IMO that speaks volumes.
Sorry to burst your bubble here. My GF was at the protests many days over the last 3 month, even got tear gassed once. Each day she was given 500-1000 baht included inside the "free food". I don't know where it came from, it just magically appeared. Of course she had to be careful, the "lettuce" wasn't always what she expected.
I only say this to keep the details accurate. No intention of supporting or not supporting the practice.
And my girlfriend says you are talking crap and making it up. My source is entirely as credible as yours.....
I can imagine the queues at the food counters if this was true....too busy to listen to speeches, must go get another food parcel!!

Mr. Chadchart said the ministry was looking at the budget proposals made by the Department of Highways and the Department of Rural Roads. Emphasis will be laid on project priority arrangement to ensure the efficiency of each disbursement plan before the outlay is proposed to the Cabinet approval.

...and I wonder which areas will get project priority first?

This is when police is not allowed to maintain law and order and enforcing the rule of law. It looks like more coming. The judges of courts are responsible.
YOU ARE SICK...
The perpetrators are responsible.
The police are ALLOWED to enforce the law - they just have to do it LAWFULLY!
I think you ARE SICK when calling people sick for expressing opinion. My comment was in response to Scores of people injured in bomb attack during anti-government rally in Trat
The police was told by the judges of civil court that they are not allowed to disperse protesters and not allowed to search protest sites claiming that the protests have been peaceful and unarmed. These are two of the nine orders of the judges.
The police have been exercising utmost restraint, patient, and tolerance and used negotiation to clear illegal structures and activities that violated and threatened the lives of the public. They were met with resistance and obstruction despite negotiation.
If the CC and civil court judges think the activities carried up by the dem's pdrc/pcad were peaceful and unarmed, than we are going to see more of such 'peaceful protest' activities. I hope the judges will rule equally to all groups who adopted the dem's pdrc/pcad method of 'peaceful protest'.
Who are the perpetrators do not seem to matter anymore.
Your usual rhetoric, however you should at least base your arguments on truth not fabrications.
The restrictions made by the Civil Court relate ONLY to the State of Emergency and the areas in which it is invoked.
Last time I looked Trat was not in Bangkok or the immediate surrounding areas where the SOE is in place.
The police have NO excuse according to your stated arguments in Trat right???
Why do so many expats fall off their balconies in Thailand?

That would be Darel. I'm not entirely convinced it happened the way the official report said it did.
