…same it happen everywhere else, Omicron will hit, lot of peoples ( Thailand always late, even for that..). But everything gonna be alright as it is very virulent but not deadly as was the basic one.

I am living at the malay border (satun), I often meet expat from Langkawi doing their 'visa run' for years.

They are ask to spend 2/3 nights out of the country before to return. Another thing is that they do not use the same border to re-enter the country than the one they use to leave. 

Example, they leave langkawi by ferry to Satun and 3 days after use the Wang Prachan border to re-enter malaysia and catch the Alor setar ferry to Langkawi.

I know a lot of them doing that for years without any trouble.

I am planning to drive to Penang from sud Thailand with my wife registered car.

The car is fully registered ( white plate )

The car is still on loan ( copy of the book but so not the original).

I am actually on an 30 days entry ( visa exemption) after multiple visa and few extensions.

Do you think I will be able to go through the both border, alone, without problems ( Assuming that we do understand about the malay insurance, the translation of the plate with the sticker thing etc etc).

Or the presence of my wife will be highly recommended ?

p.s : Living in Satun, Penang is just a few hours by car......
