  1. In the villages I have seen a boy hacked to death, he was hacked so badly his mother was not allowed to see his remains, the hospita l wrapped him like a mummy for the creamation.

At another village party youths were caught with hand grenades machettes, knives, guns, who says the are violent.

Gangs from rival villages have fights every weekend and not fist fights, you have to live in the villages to see the violence.

  2. I wish the 2 guys luck, but really putting their own lives in danger.

The most likely outcome from these two guys actions will be 2 more unsolvable Farang murders.

The only way to enjoy life in Thailand is to keep your head down and out of the limelight.

I cannot fathom why any guy with enough clues to accumulate a reasonable nest egg, would not have the brains to keep it separate to any Thai union/marriage. There are so many cases similar to this, why dont the guys think with their brains.

I tend to agree with the post above...best step is not get married to start with. Play them at their own game.

Surely most guys now know, in the Thai dictionary "Love" is spelt M O N E Y

The best way to enjoy life is to get out of Thailand move to China. The girls look after you, they have their own money, no need to kill you for yours.

  3. Just outside Surin a gang of 12 hacked to pieces a youg man of 24, the hospital would not allow his parents to see his mutilated body, they wrapped the bits up like a mummy. His parents were asked by the police if they had money, when they said no the police said "then we cannot find the gang", THE GANG LIVED IN THE NEXT VILLAGE , STILL WALKING FREE.

A farang was beated to death in his own kitchen by a gang of 4, he asked a Thai guy to move his car so he could put his motor bike inside. They beat him to death in front of his wife and child, they are still walking FREE

    What law in Thailand.

  4. The vice minister said that 2,501 checkpoints have been set up across the country, with 65,494 personnel being deployed. Over half a million vehicles -- 526,610 -- have so far have passed through the inspection process at the checkpoints.

Legal action has been taken against 60,497 people for violating traffic rules -- 19,260 for riding motorcycle without helmets and 18,916 for driving without licences, stated Mr Sorayut.

WOW, Those are overwhelming numbers :o

11.5% of drivers passing thru the check point got a blister. (assuming no driver got more than one).

For nearly every rider that was booked not wearing a helmet there was a rider or driver without a licence :o . If those statistics ring through at that same ratio, everytime you see a rider without a helmet, very close by is a driver without a licence.

    Amazing Thailand.

On a side note, I wonder how many of those rider/drivers that were booked for not having a licence were allowed to ride/drive away after being booked?

Sure is AMAZING, police stop riders for no helmet at traffic lights etc. in Hua Hin............When the YOUNG morons come out of school 4 to a bike, no helmets, the police are there to stop the traffic for them. Sure is a crazy place.

  5. Thailand lost the honour of holding the award for being the worst drivers in the worl to India a couple of years back, they want it back and mini bus drivers are doing all they can to help.

Every day you see these brainless morons racing to BKK from Hua Hin, they are just F*****g idiots. Where you at one time could take a blue nad white big bus now stand these morons. And forget insurance claims, it dosent work like that in Thailand, also forget PSV driving license, have you seen the driving test here , ha ha its a joke.

  6. If you want to use public transport...is that because you want the atmosphere or you are on a budget?.....dont want to hijack this thread but beware of two tier priceing for entrance..Thais 30 Baht Foreigners 300Baht, if you dont have an isue with that, enjoy.

This where, sometimes, having a Thai driving license or the Yellow tambien ban gets you the Thai entrance price.

    "Sometimes" being the operable word....

    Mac

Ive had a Thai driving licence for 10 years, makes no difference, some one has forgotten to inform the Thais.

Expect to pay 10x more than a Thai, Wish they charged them the same way in the UK.

  7. I just hope Thailand does not become another Mexico, AMerica or any other drug riddled country.

hahahah to late. i have seen more meth here then in the states and that is sad...

Its rampant, city,s towns, corrupt police..involvement in drugs-AND gambling, MONEY GREED. Our local town, the same-businessowner here pays 20 k a month to the force, to operate a gambling den and its not the only one in the area....tip of the iceberg. Try as some police may, its a battle as majority are getting big money-through the drugs--gambling and road checks,,I just wonder how much money anually is collected by the force------most of which the treasury never sees. Bad situation--never ending

How strange paying the police, its normaly the police running the gambling dens , chicken fighting etc. etc. etc.
