  1. does the post you have quoted of mine have any relevance to your off topic question?

You sound doubtful. I thought it was right on topic. Men and women have been making babies for years. Long before feminism came along. Let's hope it continues.

Equal pay, equal rights, equal opportunity, equal respect. But you can't fight the biological. Regards. chris

  2. au contraire sarahs bloke, i have no interest in you or anything you post until you step over the line & I need to moderate. stay within the rules & I will happily have nothing to do with you but please do take off the tin foil hat, I'm not out to get you.

    gawd

Anything wrong with a man who makes babies with a woman he loves?

  3. Give me a country girl from Northern Thailand any day in preference to euro girl in Mercedes Benz.

    Chris

Nothing personal, Chris, but I've always found this type of statement to be incredibly disingenuous. It's like some country bumpkin in the states saying "I wouldn't trade my 300 lb. girlfriend for Jessica Alba." As if he really had any choice in the matter.

Anything wrong with the country bumpkin in the US? Anything wrong with the country bumpkin in Nam Ko Phetchabun?

Anything wrong with weighing 300 lb? Anything wrong with the concept of "One man, one woman."

Anything wrong with a man or a woman saying "I choose You."

I love the sound of a tractor in the morning. Don't want Mercedes Benz.

    Regards Chris

I dont see how you came to that opinion.

somebody made a comment about moderation and has been politely asked to take that up in PM with the concerned Moderator. (as you all know discussion of moderation in public forum is against TV rules)

I suggest if you wish to discuss the article, the subject of this thread, or the views expressed by anyone about the subject of this thread, please feel free to do so.

however, if you have other issues, I suggest you drop it :)

Polite request appreciated and responded to appropriately. But not through fear. Regards. Chris

  5. wimpy men allow themselves to be wimps but find it easier to blame feminism rather than acknoledge their own weakness.

There are plenty of men who aren't wimpy or weak but who are able to accept/not feel threatened by a women & who don't blame feminism/women for all of their issues in life.

    Why you lock my post?

Papa in Petchabun die with respect and dignity.

Me happy to help him and his family.

    And feminism/women is a bracket I don't understand.

  6. Feminism didn't beat men into submission, but it did drive many of them away to rediscover a more traditional balance of the sexes in other countries like Thailand.

After a lifetime of being attracted to ballsy women, the last of whom refused resolutely to say that she loved me over a seven year close relationship as that might show weakness (how about that for role reversal), I find Thai women a breath of fresh air - for all their weaknesses.

Check out new topic " Why you lock my post?" SantiSuk.

It won't be up there for long.

Give me a country girl from Northern Thailand any day in preference to euro girl in Mercedes Benz.

I said to MamaSan Linda in London :" Prettiest girls come from Thailand, but the Germans make the best cars." She said: " How you know I got Mercedes Benz?".

Very class act MamaSan Linda. Small Thai woman. Silver Merc 500. I could write a book about the events before and after. One day I will.

"My wife has gone". "Your wife Thai?" "No, my wife Italian."

Viet Cong Mig fighters at 2 o'clock, napalm at 4, Go-Go Bar at 8.

Great respect for MamaSan Linda, Daisy, Lucky and Silvia.

"Thai don't understand word spoken in jest. "

You must have met my Wife. Her favourite saying is "thats not funny" but will roll around laughing if someone falls down and breaks a leg'

But I will add this, a life without humour is no life at all.

Maybe you will find out someday

Point well made and well taken grimleybob.

Something tells me your wife is a class act. Not sure about you (!) but i guess she does the judging.

    Only messin'

    New post. Happy Happy Happy.

  10. we say similar when referring to virgin wimmin in Gloucester... (

Aye, and that's why Jesus wasn't born there...... mind you he wasn't born in Liverpool as they couldn't find a virgin and three wise men.

Not sure about these posts either guys but I'm dead sure about joe's and elwood's.

I don't go to Thailand to hear farang jokes and I don't suppose the Isaan people find them funny either.

They definitely don't like farang jokers in Phetchabun.

    Regards.

    Chris,

we have a very particular brand of humour.

It's not sinister, and nor is it probably what you europeans may think it is.

The point is, we make these kind of jokes in our homeland, and whatever you MAY think it is, it isn't !

And I forgive you on behalf on me, and Thanddy for thinking different, it's not your fault.. and I understand that.

BUT don't ever cast whatever you think about what we say in jest aa anything but that, research it first, go have a chat with an Englishman, then post !

    And finally .. <deleted>

    Cheers !

    totster :D

  12. Thaddeus: Junior school is a low life AH answer, stay where you are, don't come to Isan villages please.

    Joe

Little late for that advice, I've lived in an Isaan village for six years, and I'm struggling to comprehend how anyone could even think that that was a serious comment, from me especially. Lighten up fgs.

I wasn't too sure about the Junior school post either Thaddeus.

All the best in Isaan. Regards.

  13. I can't comment on your particular region, but where I live further north, I find for some reason other farangs I meet in the big shops generally don't want to stop and chat. Sometimes I get a nod, smile or occasional 'hello'. In two years, only two farangs have wanted to chat - and that only because our respective ladies started chatting to each other first.

I don't know fellas. My girlfriend lives in Nam Ko just outside of Lom Sak. She seems to have an affinity for Issan/Laos.

I go to Nam Ko to be with Thais not farangs. But always happy to talk.

    Regards.

  14. thats a great post on Issan women.

How does one meet these women BEFORE they have pumped out a couple of kids? :)

Great stuff joe and elwood. I know what you mean.

Does it matter if she has kids? I've got six of my own and country girl in Phetchabun has two.

I love her two boys just the same as my own.

And when they get off the school bus that brings them home to the village, they greet their family, tidy in their school uniforms and I think good on you.

Not even rose-tinted guys. Brutally real and uplifting. I'm grateful.

    Regards.

  15. You will always get negative responses to this type of post because Issan forum is a bit like a gentlemans club. There are hardly any ladies present, so you will never get a balanced view.

Its not masculine to express emotions. In male company it is seen as a weakness.

My friend in Pattaya has had more live -in "housekeepers" than buckingham palace in the five years he's been here. I've lost count. Then ,when they leave (escape)

he indignantly rants on about how ungrateful they are after getting 9k per month to clean, cook, wash, shop and look after him when he feels randy. Then, the rest of the time, he is usually shouting at them or degrading them in some way.

If you don't put more than cash into a relationship then it is business and caveat emptor

I'm surprised how few negative posts there actually are grimleybob. Maybe we frightened them off.

GM 1955, bangkokboro, old wanderer, SantiSuk, Totster, jazzbo. I get the impression they are class acts.

Not sure about Totsters drinking habits (only messin') but I'd be happy to have a Singha Light with him and all of them.

West Ham are beating Man U 4-0. Carling Cup quarter final. Bloody cold in London.

    All the best.

  17. When I lived in Oklahoma, I would often go out with my parents to cafeteria style dining which was then popular with the older crowd... My Father would on occasion say something like: "See that elderly couple there? They have oil & gas properties worth about 100 million dollars ..." just sitting there unobtrusively with everyone else.

I have rarely met people with a lot of money who talk about having a lot of money; in fact they like to hang out with persons who show no particular interest in having money which is why my Father in Oklahoma and Florida could always have a golf game with persons of staggering wealth.

Such persons would hardly be likely to say 'I'm up 90% this year on widgets .. how about you?''

    OK Guys, especially GM1955.

    Money, style and love.

If farang loves the Thai woman, and her family, and is able and happy to provide, he can't do more than that.

I don't see too many Thai blokes delivering on any of those.

Nor does the country girl from the North.

Farang does it with style or he doesn't do it all.

    Good luck Gentlemen.

    Regards.

  18. Full marks bangkokboro. We can post ourselves to death about Issan and Bangkok girls.

Does she love me or does she just want my money?

    Farang problem, not Thai.

Trick is to find a Thai girl who understands farang.

    Last post.

    Regards.

Nice one bangkokboro. I told you I was an amateur at this posting thing.

Didn't realise being single in Thailand was a negative!

  19. I saw this on a post today, I was interested in the average Thai salary.

"I think that's why foreigners almost always have poor Isaan girlfriends and never educated Bangkokians. To a poor country girl you are well off, but to an educated urbanite you're nothing. That's why wealthy Thais stick together, and poor Thais leech off the stupid farang."

My view on this is sometimes farang prefers poor Issan girlfriend because he's fed up with educated urbanite leeches. Plenty of them in London.

Personally I'm not interested in educated urbanites from Bangkok. I'm a total amateur when it comes to this posting thing, but I have considerable experience of Thailand.

Country girl ( I don't particularly like the collective word Issan) can decide. Up to her. Up to you.

I've been in Bangkok many times and when faced with the question: "Why you with her?" I brazen it out. Doesn't even require great bravery.

We all fall in love, we all get hurt, we all get ripped off. Same for country girl.

    Keep the faith.

My guess is if anybody replies to this it will be about 95 negative, 5 positive.

We all know there are plenty of farang losers in Thailand.

Give me a country girl on a motor bike rather than a euro girl in a Mercedes Benz any day.

I'm happy to pick up the tab.

    No offense to anybody.

    Regards.
