    Ok this is one of those thai visa classic threads..

    Have a thai girlfriend for 6 months, she graduated from the university, her parents have a business in downtown, she got a car and kind of OK money. This is not a bargirl or a prostitute but that doesn't mean she act any different..

    Yesterday i caught her cheating. Not in the act but i saw all the messages on her phone. I can also read her emails, facebook and all that crap but i didnt make any use of it until yesterday. So bottom line.. she cheats on me and i kicked her out of my apartment.

    Sad thing is that she graduated in broadcasting / acting, so i have to deal with her full blown acting skills. Security always lets her back up on the floor, even though she doesnt have a key card or her name in the contract. If i call security while she is here she just talks her way out of it, since she has a face like an angel but is the devil inside.

    I dont really want to involve the police or anything but she keeps coming to my apartment, banging on the door, yelling, screaming and everything. She even ran into a wall and said i punched her..

    This is obviously out of control and i am really at the end of my power to deal wit this. Last thing i can think of is to contact her dad and talk to him but he doesnt speak much english and probably wont believe me anyway.. I can't afford to move out of the apartment now as i just moved in here, so this is really not an option for me at this point.

    Anything else i can do?

    Girlfriend Going To Germany

    Hey,

    My girlfriend and i want to go to germany for 3 months and also go to the netherlands for 3 months. I have a residence in germany and she is almost fluent in german language and passed the A1-GOETHE test. What kind of visa options does she have? Is there a way to get her a shengen visa? Money is not an issue and we are prepared to pay for everything. She has enough money in the bank as well so that should not be a problem either.

    Please advice.

    Dont worry too much. I used to have a 1 year overstay and my friend was on a 3 year overstay. We showed up at the airport at 5am in the morning, paid our fine, flew out the country and returned THE SAME DAY on a 30 day visa on arrival without a problem.

    It was right after the news about the "crack down" on overstaying, so we were both scared as hell. Turns out its business as usual and i wouldn't be worried to be much now.

    Just clear it up now, course you never know if the rules might change. The current people in charge might be in for swift changes..

    My wife and i have a 3 years old son together. Lately my wife gets more and more out of control.. drinking, drugs.. you name it.

    I want to divorce as soon as possible but i dont want to leave my son with her.

    I dont have an income in thailand and dont have the financial resources to fight for my kid in court.

    Our son is born in thailand and we married in thailand 5 years go.

    What are my options? My budget is pretty limited i want to get my son away from her as soon as possible.

    There was such a bunch of bs posted about the "new overstay rules" on thaivisa it was incredible.

    I recently cleared an 8 month overstay at the airport within 5 minutes. No questions asked.

    The officer called the immigration lady, she took me to a desk before between customs and immigration, then filled out some papers, i signed it, paid 20,000 baht, she said can come back no problem.

    Thats it.

    Going to Chang Wattana or consulting with one of these "visa expert agencies" will just make it worse and cost more money.

    Just clear up overstay at the airport and you will have the least stress and problems.

    Blackmailed Then Falsely Accused!?

    So my friend responded to a dating advert online here in Bangkok. He is married (I know, not good), but he thought this was a chance to meet someone interesting, especially as he's on the rocks with his wife anyhow. That said...

    They swapped photos, SHE told him when they would meet (didn't ask), and he showed up at a StarBucks, and outright told him something like "This is a setup. Your wife hired me. I'm a pro. Do you understand this?" He replies, ok, what's my wife's name, phone number and what does she look like? The blackmailer (hereunto referred as BM) says it's confidential and my friend.. mhmm She says now if you do that, I may have to cause a seen, tell the police you grabbed my boobs or even raped me. That wouldn't go over so well for your wife would it?' He asked what are you trying to do? She says the 'wife' (whom she doesnt know the name etc), paid her 10k to 'cause him harm' and that she doesnt cross that line so she'd prefer to be on 'his' side. If he'd go to the ATM right now and pay the balance of like 40k she'd be on her way.

    So he gets up and walks away, she starts yelling, he walks with his new 'shadow' all around the big mall, outside to find traffic police just direct him to other stations. Finally he ends up at a proper police station and SHE presses charges of 'boob grabbing' or whatever the charge is! By the time my friend's lawyer gets there her 'lawyer/dad' is on the phone saying he'll make a deal to just forget everything and we can all go home' They started walking away and she comes out and throws a fit saying IM AN ADULT MY DAD OR LAWYER CANT DROP CHARGES etc. So she presses the charges and he's got to go view mall security footage to vindicate himself. Meanwhile, she's made an ass of herself at the PD throwing tantrums etc. Even when the final papers of the night were 'done' and they could go home she, instead of trying to act normal, like a victim, CONTINUED TO SHADOW HIM OUTSIDE THE PD WITH ALL THE POLICE WATCHING HIM SHUFFLE FROM RIGHT - LEFT - FWD - BACKWARD to demonstrate his stalker. They did nothing.

    So he gets into his lawyers car and guess who JUMPS INTO THE BACK SEAT??! ?? YES! HER! She just passively carjacked his lawyer's 6mb car and refused to get out because she 'WILL at all costs shadow my friend until she hunts down his wife'. Finally the lawyer calls a police buddy and requests an escort, and it was enough to get her out of the car. He told him to get in lets gooooogogogogo as she was already darting for a moto-taxi to continue her stalking!

    What kind of scammer acts like this? So far she's guilty of blackmail, stalking, false accusations and we're not even lawyers. God knows what other laws she's broken. Plus he's spent a shitload on legal feeds and this is only on the first day. He's fighting for principle here. He probably could have paid her 10k and she'd have f'cked off but he's adamant about not being scammed like this.

    Has anyone had any experiences like this? He'll follow what his Thai lawyer tells him to do, but should he involve his embassy? Should he just go to court and counter file all of these highly felonious charges against her, use the cops outside the PD as witnesses who saw her stalking him even after she filed charges?

    Any advice would be appreciated.
