I actually like the "visual pollution" of BTS.

I thought the 50km sky walk sounded good. I think everyone likes the smaller skywalk we have now

Obviously no one wants to be completely surrounded by a concrete sky, but a bit looks good, real modern city.

Oh... and as if bkk doesn't NEED it !~!~!~!

I'd have to say this airport was both my first and worst impression of Bangkok. Made me want to leave Thailand asap.

Sandwich had mold on it and i was charged 1200B for a taxi to Victoria monument (I didnt know about airport link/bts :S )

IMHO, main problem is that there seems to be no information desk for transport. Phuket and Chiang mai (and every other airport in the word) have a help desk near the exit, where you can ask how to get where you are going. Although, maybe there is an information desk, who would know, its a f***n maze with no signs...

???How are we supposed to know the airport link exists???

There is a good reggae bar smack bag in the middle of the old ciry. Sorry i dont know the name of the street, just how to get there. Its called the something rock reggae bar. Maybe loose rock? Cant remember exactly but its easy to find as its one of the only places still open at night. Nice mix of thai's and us lot

every torist info shack will have 3 or 4 choices for you.

they are all pretty much the same, 4 or 5 thai dishes and a cookbook with about 30. Basic thai food is really easy, just need a wok and some sauces

my school doesnt belive in learning from a list, which is good but i still want a list for a reference. My thai dictionary has 60,000 words, 90% of which i will never learn!

I dont think you can do it in 1 day because the visa processing takes 2 working days. Even if u pay for express, its 1 working day, unless you can arrive at the new country at 9am and leave at 4pm the same day, you will need atleast 1 night there

Or he can leave thailand, go to, say, Phnom Penh or Saigon, get a 60 day visa for free, and extend it for an extra 30 days while in thailand.
