I don't think the bank will provide you with such letter on the spot, usually it take few hours
or even one day for them to prepare the letter....
The Bangkok Bank branch at CW does it in 5-10 min. Hope it is the same elsewhere.

Hi.
I'm doing my annual non immigrant o visa extension based on marriage and the last document I need is the bank letter confirming the 400k for 2 months. Using the Bangkok Bank at Chaeng Wattana was easy and I could go have the letter printed while queuing for the doors to open.
Does anyone know if there is a Bangkok Bank branch at Imperal Lat Phrao?
Many thanks.

I will do that.
Cheers..!

Thanks for that information guys..
So, what is the process when I go back to immigration. Do I just take a number and give them my passport. If its approved, they stamp my passport, and if its not approved, they dont?
And do you know if I need to take any additional paperwork?
Thanks again.

When choosing a health insurance provider, something that is often overlooked is the claims process. With most local (Thai) insurance companies, the claims process can be quite tedious. There are insurance companies (such as William Russell) that are geared towards expats that provide a much better service in my opinion.

Hi,
I recently applied for an extension based on marriage to Thai wife. Had all of my documents in order and the immigration official stamped my passport that my request for extension is under consideration. I need to go back in 30 days.
My question is does anyone know if I still need to leave the 400k in the bank or if I can move my funds elsewhere? I notice the requirement is 400k for at least 2 months (mine was in there for 4). I don't want to take the money out and have immigration reject me based on that.
Thanks in advance...

You extend your stay in Thailand, not a visa. You visit immigration with wife and same paperwork each year during last 30 days of permitted stay and after a 30 day review return to obtain the new one year stamp. TM.7 at price of 1,900 baht.
Thanks..

Do you have to leave the country every year you want to extend the marriage visa?

Very sad....

Last time I was in the States, there was an instance where I was in a shopping mall looking for a bathroom.
I walked in and there was a Mexican cleaning lady mopping the floor.
Thinking nothing of it, I proceeded to use the urinal and she starts screaming for me to get out.
I thought I was going to be arrested for indecent exposure.....

Does anyone know if the bank guarantee letter must come from the same bank branch where you opened the account?
I know there are a few banks in the Bangkok Immigration building.

Next time keep a copy of it, it will make life a lot easier if you lose it again!
Yeah no kidding.

Cheers guys.

You are going to need a police report.
Yeah I was worried about that. Is that a difficult process?

I paid cash because it was approximately 100 baht. Maybe they will still have it in their system?
Hopefully...

I recently lost my temporary Thai driver's license. It expired two days ago. Like an idiot, I don't have any record of it, but I'm hoping the drivers license division does.
Anybody know if I will be able to get a renewal? Really don't want to have to take the driving test over again.
Thanks.

I went to immigration and there is no Bangkok Bank at Imperial World. There is a Bangkok Bank branch on Lat Phrao 99 and they did the letter in 20 min.
