  1. Have you looked at Malaysia 's requirements?  They want $33,000 in a Malaysian bank account at all times or $2300 USD per month income so not that much different from Thailand. Thailand you can own a condo, dont know why you say anything about a bank account and owning a car as all of this can easily be done in Thailand.  As for every Thai having his hand out, then maybe you should get out of the tourist areas.

Malaysia issues 90 days free visa exempt stamps to most nationalities and you can go in and out as much as you wish

Why not going to a closer country with airasia ?

You should have made a drama in the airport and record all to post it on FB.

That's the first thing I asked them instead of going back home send me to Malaysia. But they said there's a law that forces me to go back to the country I came from, so that was refused.

  3. June 2016 I was rejected by a young officer at Suvarnabhum and sent back to my home country on my own expenses (forced to change the date of my return ticket) although I was asked cash and showed the officer 4500 Euros + 700 Usd. After I've been held there for more than an hour and transefered to another office downstairs I asked what's going on and got replied "you don't have sufficient funds to stay in the kingdom". I showed him again all the money I had on me but he replied " Sorry! The other officer filled and signed the form already. It's too late now" And I was sent back to home country for not having enough cash but had indeed near 200.000 baht cash on me. As I came back again about a month later, not been asked one single question at another airport..

  4. While I was being kept there waiting there the airline confiscated my passport .(Turkish airlines and its partner Thai airways staff) I told them I want my passport and see the reason why I'm being denied entry. They kept on replying" maidai maidai" for everything I said.T hen they said I should be thankful for them not being held in detention and that they let me wait at the departures section of the airport. So I must pay 700 baht for the guy who watched me there

.If I refused to board the plane they said I will have to pay 750 baht each day for staying at the detention center and buy another return ticket. I was OK for staying in jail for days but didn't want to pay to buy another ticket if it didn't work out.So I boarded the plane. They didn't even give a chance me to ask some official why this was all being done to me.

  5. You had more than enough financial proof to show. Did you have a return or onward ticket?

Getting a visa prior to returning to Thailand would lessen the chances of being denied again. Perhaps try to enroll in a school before trying again and obtain a single entry non-ed visa. If not then get a single entry tourist visa.

Yes I had a return ticket and thanks for the advice. I will do that and get an ed visa from the embassy in Ankara. And this time will fly to Malaysia first so that if I get refused again they at least send me back to Malaysia and i can try again from there.
  6. I would like to share my horrible experience about bring refused entry into Thailand on 29th of May 2016. Previously since October 2015 I was staying in Thailand on a student visa and regularly attending my classes and learning Thai language. On February 2016 I received the bad news that my mother got stomach cancer and I decided to go immediately back to Turkey. So I did and my mother unfortunately only lived three weeks after that . After the death of my mother I decided to go back to Thailand and continue where I left off . On the 28th of May 2016 I boarded the plane from Istanbul to Bangkok. As I arrived in Bangkok got into the immigration queue handed over my passport and the lady asked me why I was in Thailand. I had left Thailand two and a half months ago while I was on a student visa and I told her then I want to go back to my school get my documents and go back to Malaysia to get a student visa again. She seemed to be confused and directed me to another officer that officer asked me the same thing and I told him the same. Then he took me to to an interrogation corner and started asking me questions. Meanwhile he was checking my previous entries into Thailand which were about 15x since the beginning of 2013. Because I like travelling a lot especially within South East Asia. He seemed to be unhhappy me talking to him in Thai language and telling him that I like the country and I want to improve my Thai language. He made me wait for an hour there went and came back with another officer they took me to another interrogation room down stairs without no windows. until then I was just keeping quiet but then I decided to ask if everything was okay he told me that I'm going to be refused entry to Thailand and sent back. I asked the reason he show me the Immigration Act number 2 "Having inappropriate means of entering the kingdom". I showed him 500 US Dollars and 4500 Euros cash and told him that it is more than 200,000 baht and I had more in my Kasikornbank account. he told me it's the immigration officers decision and he can't do anything about it. Then they took me to the departure I had to wait for 13 hours without no food and drinks. They even wanted me to pay for the security officer 750 baht for his daily wage + 900 for changing the date of my return ticket. And I was sent back to Istanbul. I don't think I had deserved this .I have a furnished apartment three motorbikes many friends and memories in Thailand I have never done anything illegal never overstayed my visas. Now I want to go back at least to sell my three motorbikes and my belongings but I'm afraid to be turned down again and lose another 30,000 baht for a wasted flight ticket.

  7. HI ! Just wanted to add the Gps topspeed readings of all three bikes and some others:

The PCX hits the rev limiter at 99 km/h (about 110 on the tachometer)

Yamaha Nouvo Elegance does 109 km/h

Suzuki Hayate (Carburetted) surprisingly does 109 km/h as well

The carburetted Airblade and Honda Click 93 km/h

Suzuki Step 93 km/h (although same engine with Hayate because of shorter gearing)

    Yamaha X1-R 118 km/h (140 on tachometer)

Suzuki Skydrive (with 17 inch 60/90 tires) about 107 km/h on the same straight but on another ocassion very slight downhill has managed an unbelievable 119 km/h on GPS

I own two Elegance and two Hayate s Two skydrive and airblade and one Honda Click ,Yamah X-1 R(Sold recently) and ridden my cousin's PCX from Phuket to Pattaya and have measured all bikes top-speed myself with GPS

BTW The Hayate having equal top speed to Elegance it also has better acceleration probably because of a quicker engaging CVT system .

I also had the new Cbr 150 fi which had been stolen and I managed 165 on the Tachometer but my gps wasnt on at that time. Tested on Gps it was reading 133 km/h while the speedo was indicating 150 km/h

Hope it would be useful . You can ask me any questions you have about these bikes

  8. Hi ! Just would like to inform you on an incident happened to me today at the south Pattaya Shell Petrol station. There s was an elderly foreigner in front of me in the row. They started filling his bike without resetting the pump after the previous customer, starting from 60 baht and they charged the guy 210 baht for a scooter fillup..He didnt notice it.I tried to warn him and the stuff started PUSHING % TRIED TO BEAT ME UP.My friend got between us and stopped a fist fight with the stuff. They were very angry because I caught them cheating .

Normally I avoid this dodgy Shell station but today I was in a rush and had to fill up at there..and I m shocked to see this is still going on after so many incidents. I m so disgusted at what happened . I cant believe this has gotten so far and noone does anything about it . Emailed Shell hoping some sort of action will be taken against these filthy people.

  9. the new cbr 150 fi top speed

Thanks for the vid. I've done 130+ on mine more than a few times, and 135 at least twice, and still felt there was more if I wanted it. I've felt that 150 was possible, but was surprised to see 160+ on the video. I've got a tri-color, with the larger touring screen for wind deflection, and only tip the scales (now) at about 60kg, so I have no doubt that I could also do 160+ if I really wanted to. My question is, how stable did the bike feel at those speeds? On the old model 150, any time I went over 110, the bike just didn't feel stable, and felt like I could lose it at any time. No so with the new one so far, but I haven't pushed it over 135 yet, either. You have, so you should be able to tell me how stable it felt.

    Thanks

Hi ! The bike felt very stable hence I was able to do that speed on a one handed ride (one hand holdung the camera )

    Thanks

  10. I was asking myself the exact same question for a while... hesitating between the 150 and the 250, I ended buying a 150 3 days ago.

And I can say I love the bike !

I am still beaking it in, but it is a joy to ride, I dont have too many comparison points, I have driven a Fino for the last 2 years and this CBR is totally different (quite obviously...) and a lot more enjoyable, it also feels far more secure with its big tyres and good breaks.

I thought it would be better to use the 250 for me as I am 1.92m high (not sure in feet) and about 95Kgs, but the 150 is about the same size as the 250 and when I sat on it, it felt ok and using it certainly feels OK. I wouldnt have bought the previous generation CBR but this one fits me.

In the end, the choice is yours, there are pros and cons for both, but the reasons for my choice are mostly :

    - I never had a motorbike like this before, so I am still learning, but for the thai road and their dangers, the 150 seems perfect, I don't need anything faster.

    - the 150 will probably suck less fuel (depending on how I ride it)

    - I prefered the color scheme of the 150 (I bought the red one), I dont like the silver parts of the 250 and the grey rims, I would have modified them for sure

    - the 150 is a very well known bike in Thailand, the engine has proved very robust, it will take time for honda shop to know the 250 as well, and I have some hesitations buying a first generation product, the engine of the 250 is completely new, which can be seen as a good thing (latest technology) but also as a disadvantage (no previous history in reliability, even if Honda isnt a newbie)

    - last but not least, the 25000 or so baht that were saved will find good use with the birth of my first child in 3 months... but with some of the price difference, I bought some security gears so that she can have more chances of having a father...

Again, the choice is yours, I dont believe in "more is better" but in finding what suits YOUR needs...

BUT, as a conclusion, wether you choose the 150 or the 250, you can't go wrong, they are both enjoyable rides that will give you a big smile everytime for sure.

Have a good one, enjoy, and ride safely. Keep us posted.

    Cheers

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

You have mentioned a point I had never thought of regarding the new 250 to the Honda shops, I have heard elsewhere or repairs taking ages as they dont yet have all the correct tools.

The money saved I could put towards some bits like a can or efi mod if there is one if I needed extra power.

Where I live I doubt i'd ever use the full potential of the 150, let alone the 250. Just too much traffic.

Is there anyone out that that has ridden both that could give me an insight?

Also I have been looking online for 150 and 250 top speed, 0-100 kmh times, weight etc. Cant find the info, does anyone know?

    Cheers
