  1. Further info on what they need if you want to come and work here when you apply in the uk

For non-Thai who are going to work in Thailand

While Thailand still puts in place travel restriction, those who are going to work or attend business meetings in Thailand can apply for the Certificate of Entry. The decision will be made in Bangkok by a committee comprising relevant authorities and this process takes time.

Required documents, which must be submitted by email to [email protected] :

    1. Your passport copy
    2. A copy of letter of permission to work or to attend business meeting in Thailand from a Thai government agency (your employer/company in Thailand has to seek this permission from the Thai authorities)
    3. A copy of letter from your employer (or yourself if you own a company) that you need to work or attend business meetings in Thailand
    4. Declaration form, duly completed and signed
    5. A copy of your health insurance policy with coverage including COVID-related treatment in Thailand in the amount no less than 100,000 USD (or a company letter certifying that they will pay for your medical expenses including COVID-19)

All non-Thai passengers will be subject to a 14-day quarantine at their own expenses at one of the facilities for Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) that have been approved by the Thai authorities. The reservation can be made later and need not be submitted at this stage.

Once approved, you will be duly notified. Then, you would need to (1) book a flight, (2) book anSQ hotel, and (3) prepare a fit to fly health certificate within 72 hours before departure that you are free from COVID-like symptoms, and send a copy to the Embassy to issue a certificate of entry to Thailand.

If your visa has expired, you have to apply for a new visa after you have been notified above. Please see our visa page for more detail.

    7. Copy of your confirmed booking at an ASQ hotel

  2. Hi

I am sure many people are in the same situation. Many small company owners have to exit Thailand on a 3 monthly 6 monthly or if lucky yearly to obtain a non b outside the country as their company does not qualify for non b extension in Bangkok. So it seems no way to renew work permit without having a valid non b which needs to be obtained outside the country, not all embassies and consulates are processing non b and the hoops needed to return to Thailand are difficult to say the least and one document can take 2 to 3 weeks to obtain.

    comments welcome

  3. Thanks Poorsucker

so it seems the main labour office in Bangkok needs the 4 on the books for 3 months before applying for wp. (catch 22 it seems) as you need a to apply for a wp and get a receipt and then apply for non b normally outside the country.

With regard being MD. I meant if I were just MD I don't need to have a work permit (just signing docs)

but if I were md and general manager I would of course need a wp.

    thanks

  4. Hi

Just finished registering a New company and intend to  cancel my existing work permit from old employer and apply for new one. However the labour office is saying need to show 4 Thai employee salary/social for 3 months before can apply for work permit. So is this normally the case as I cant then work in new company for at least 3 months.

I will in future to be the MD as well as general manager, as MD I don't need a work permit to sign documents?

    Any help welcome

    thanks

  5. yep something not right with there figures.

I come to the same amount as you on the 30 year loan at 7% interest per year.

I must say though seems high % for what must be a mortgage.

I would go to the bank and ask them to break down the figures, as from my experience they are often wrong. If it is down to the extra insurance that you mentioned, try to pay that as a lump sum first or even do a separate 1 year loan as it may help you save a packet.

I would also ask about early repayment penalties. ie: if you win the lottery and want to pay it back early

good luck and let us know how you get on.

  6. What are you talking about?, I didn't address you as anything. If you feel agitated about it, then your are being over sensitive.

  7. Meanwhile, it's your THIRD post, and you're already calling people stupid...

I predict great things for you on Thaivisa.

Actually been a member for a long time, and felt compelled to reply to the opening post. Whether it is my first or 100 post is not the point. The reason why it is stupid is because he lives next to a military base and complaining about gunfire. What do you expect!

It is like you complaining about the smell or bread because you live next to a bakery, or smelling shit because you live next to pig farm.

And someone opens a post on Thai visa about it.

    Get a life

  8. Irritating yes, worrying don't be so stupid. It is a military base. Do you expect them to practice with empty guns and say BANG!

Why not ask the base to move? lol

I am amazed about your opening post

  9. Hi Johan,

many of the window films are different. From manufacturer to manufacturer, colours and shades vary but can produce the same results depending on the quality of the film, and what technology is used to make it. A 20% grey reflective film will look completely different from a 20% carbon black film. The reflective will offer better heat reduction, but the carbon film will look clearer. It is a personal choice!

Some window films will block gps, or smart pass on the tollways. many things you need to consider and ask.

If you are worried about too dark at night, ask for some samples to check at night.

I am the owner of one of the largest window tinting companies in Thailand and stock 70 different types of films. If you needed any help or info either PM me or visit SolarKool.biz we also offer a mobile fitting service in Bangkok and Pattaya.

Discount offerered for Thaivisa members just mentioned it when calling.
