There are lots of brands with the only dealer in Bangkok, I bought one from the only official dealer there 2.5 years ago, it never bothered me, they came and collected it with a slide-on for 2 warranty claims.
Yes I have to use AAS as well once a year, i've got a 10 year warranty so it needs to be serviced there. But Tesla being a bit more mainstream it must put lots of potential buyers off imo.

I think only having a dealer in Bangkok is the killer. Surely after a year you would expect at least Chiang Mai, Central Isaan, Central ,South and East Thailand to have dealers with service centers from such an Established company.

Yes , I am in the same camp, choosing the extended over the standard .thanks for your thoughts .I Will pull the trigger sept 29th, however I
hope the BYD seal introduction on sept 28 does not sway my decision .
Haha
I am very interested in the Volvo EX30 but the BYD seal does look intriguing, so think I will do the same. Would be good to get the price and availability of the updated Tesla Model 3 Highlander too

I have an MG Cyberster on order, but if I ordered the Volvo, it would be the colour and spec of your yellow.
I think I prefer the BYD Seal performance though, not least because it's better battery chemistry and less utilitarian interior.
Yes I am waiting for the Seal pricing too.
The other worry is how will the Ex30 stop and go around corners, not any reviews yet that I can find. I previously had an XC40 T5 with approx 250bhp it was very bouncy and leaned a lot in corners. Made passengers feel car sick

The 70 mai cameras are very good with a good app that works as it should.
Put the simple 70 Mai M300 front facing camera without screen in our Pick up truck records at 1296p resolution which gives a 64 gb micro about 6-7 hours of footage.
Very simple install as New Ford ranger has a usb port next to rear view Mirror.
About 1500 baht delivered on Lazada in the frequent flash sales

I had serious problem with a Brand new car they got inside the front bumper and chewed through lots of wires, and made a nest (see Pictures)
Now I buy rat deterrent pots of gel off lazada , drop Peppermint oil and moth balls inside and add extra Balls oil and water every few weeks leave one pot by each wheel.
I have had no problems since

I have Primacy 4 and PS5 on my 2 cars. The PS5 are superior in my opinion, turn in and grip both wet and dry are fantastic.
btw I bought them off Lazada and they were recently made and much cheaper just took them to the shop for fitting

Had similar, air con stopped working.
Took to Honda, 2 hrs later, front end dismantled, 500 baht charge. Rodents removed.
Apparently they use soy in the manufacture of some cables and thats what they enjoy chomping on !
Yes this is what the service manager said cables are vegetable based.

Yes the insurance paid, but it was not straight forward it was taken to BMW udon Thani, they told insurance company 170,000 baht! To fix it. So the insurance company moved it to BMW khon Kaen where it was repaired for 30,000 so go figure that one out ????

Be careful with your car's guys. I live in rural loei province near Phu Kradung and I Got in the car a few weeks ago warning lights came up all over the dashboard, sensors not working safety systems out don't drive car messages! The car is only a year old so its under warranty, so I called emergency line and the car was taken by recovery truck to Udon thani main dealer. Turns out we had mice nesting in the front bumper (Pictures tell the story) 6 weeks later and 50,000 baht insurance claim the car is back, collected friday.I have bought sprays traps peppermint oil poison you name it.

I have owned a Civic Hatchback turbo and a New Mazda 3 top model. I think the Mazda has nicer interior quality but is let down by the gutless engine only kept mine 3 months.
The engine in Civic has much more torque lower down and is a far superior engine imho

I have had a Volvo T8 PHEV for a year and a half now, do most of my journeys on pure electric it has a 40 km range. It also is faster than most cars on the road in Thailand under 4 million 0-100 4.5 seconds and 407 bhp seems the best of both worlds. only concern is it's quite complicated as its Supercharged Turbo charged and electric motor to back wheels not sure what long term (5 year plus) reliability will be

Nice looking car! Thinking of getting a C43 or BMW 340i Xdrive next, how do the two engines compare as your Z4 pretty much has the same 6 in it?

The V60 is still unrestricted if 2020 model, right? Latest ones are limited to 180 kmh. Spoilsports.
Yes is unrestricted. This was actually the display car at the BKK Motor Show when they were unveiled here in Thailand, it had a body Styling kit and 21 inch Wheels but I had the original wheels put back as they wanted 150k extra. Got a big discount on it though.

I have a Volvo V60 T8 Hybrid which has same engine, I know through researching that the T8 Hybrid is well regarded and pretty problem free, also the Volvo warranty is very good we also have an XC40 R design and have had repairs done under warranty no quibble was quite impressed with Volvo service tbh.
I would take car to a Volvo dealer for inspection before purchase.
Good Luck

Had Panamera wrapped in Nardo grey about a year ago cost 58k in Khon Kaen. After some research I went for TECKWRAP brand of film. Still looks as new.
