The Guideline addresses on how to register on the IO TM-30 website, which allows you to then issue TM-30s yourself for any foreigners (including yourself) that are staying at the premises.

Doing it on-line avoids having to make a trip to your local Imm Office.

When you live close to your Imm Office (or when you are a masochist enjoying going there), you can of course do it in person.

But some members live far away from their Imm Office and try to avoid Imm Office visits as much as possible.

If you have permanent residency you do not have to do anything at immigration unless you plan on leaving the country.

The only thing you have to is to report to you local police every 5 years that you are still living at the same place or if you move to change to a new address.

    Thanks a lot, ubonjoe

Any advice as to why immigration needs to stamp on my white permanent residency book whenever I go for my re-entry permit.

  3. I am a Permanent Resident of Thailand. Every year I will need to go to extend the yearly stay after expiry and also the Re-entry Permit. I checked with the website and it is claimed that Permanent Residency does not need to apply for extension of stay (which is a privelege for PR). Can anyone (or Ubonjo) help to clarify this issue. I mean why apply for Permanent Resident when it is still mandatory to extend the stay. I understand the need for Re-entry permit.

  4. My 90 days reporting expires 15th June. I had expired my one year stay April 2020 and had just obtained my extension of day one year effective 27th April. Anyone can advise if I need to apply 90 days reporting using last expiry 15th June. Or using the new extension of stay 27th April - next reporting July, 2020. Anyway, I tried using online reporting currently with no success as it keeps referring me to Immigration.

Children under 15 do not pay overstay fines but do get a overstay stamp. Not being fined for overstay does not mean they do not need visas.

Being on an overstay at his age would not be problem for him to re-enter the country and get a 30 day visa exempt entry (not a 15 day visa on arrival).

If your son is attending school he can get extensions of stay for attending school. He would need to get a non-ed visa to apply for the extension.

Thanks ubonjoe for your reply. Btw we are Chinese citizens and do need to get VOA. Can you advise if there will be problems if my Son comes in with overstay stamp (with me having the Elite visa) . I am worried that he will be stopped at the immigration.

  6. I am intending to apply for this visa and hope anyone can advise me this. If my Son who is 11 years old - can he stay with me without leaving (he enters using tourist visa) once his  tourist visa expires. According to Thai Elite children below 14 years can stay with the Thai Elite members without going out of the country. That means my kid will be overstaying. Will there be any problem if he leaves Thailand with me. At the same time will there be problems when both of us return to Thailand again with me using the Elite visa. While he will be on visa on arrival and enter and stay with me (even after VOA expires).

  7. Can somebody help me to answer this question on Re-entry Permit :

My re-entry permit (multiple) expires 24th August (or to use it within 24th August). Say I travel out before 24th August and will be back after 24th August, but I need to apply again a new re-entry permit. And I have a Residency Permit also. Will I be penalized if I stay outside Thailand after 24th August ?

  8. My gf has a multiple re-entry permit for her one year ed visa. Unfortunately, last entry back to bangkok she was unaware that the immigration office had unintentionally stamped USED on her multiple re-entry permit. Hence, whenever she goes out of bangkok she will be questioned on this issue. Can anyone help me as to how she can get the permit rectified or reinstated. She keep being troubled with this re-entry permit by the officer at exit point. By the way, is it possible for her to apply another re-entry permit (multiple ) by paying 3800 baths again.

    Thanks.

  9. My GF from China is visiting Bangkok for the first time. She has return tickets etc for 2 weeks stay. Understand she will need to apply for a Visa-on-arrival. However, she doesnt understand thai or english. Is there a service at the Counter where she can pay and use to apply at the arrival terminal. Will appreciate if someone has this experience and advise ....
