  1. I may be mistaken , but as I understand the democrat party replaced bt30 with for free . My father-in-law has all his medical treatment for free .

    It used to be possible for the foreign husbands of government professionals to have free medicine too , but I believe that has been stopped . My wife is a school teacher and collects all my receips from the hospital and I believe is able to claim back on her medical insurance .

    I'm afraid that you are mistaken about the question of foreign spouse eligibility, and also the Democrats. As Terry said, the only public insurance programme that covers spouses is the Civil Servant Medical Benefit Scheme. The 30 baht co-payment was abolished in 2007 by the post-coup civilian government when Mongkol Na Songkhla was the Public Health Minister, but reinstated under PTP. I see that no poster who feels that the 30 baht scheme is entirely safe has taken up the issue of why a former Minister with no love for Thaksin feels worried.

    i dont think you know anything about the scheme,it has just been stopped by the junta.

  2. i can see a lot of you dont know much about overstay in my country,my friend came overland and got 15 days,he didnt know about this he overstayed extra 15 days,when he was going home he was asked for 7.500bht overstay he thought he was being ripped off so he refused,2 hours later he was in a police cell in chiang mai,he phoned me i phoned the british consul but it was 17.30 and every body gone home,i managed to get him out for 10.000bht he was told he must come to police station for 9 on monday,i got the 10.000bht back he was taken to court and fined 1000bht and told he will be deported to the uk, he didnt have to pay the 7.500bht overstay just 1000bht and deported,he was escorted to the airport and told he can come back any time.

  3. please can any body help.my boyfriend went to mai sai border yesterday with new passport,but the current visa is in the older one,when he showed the new one they wouldnt stamp it only the old one he was supposed to get his 90 days but because his old passport runs out on the 30 march he only got 60 days he showed them the new passport which started on the 5th january but they wasnt interested,does any body know any thing please
