  1. Hello Sheryl,

Thank you for your reply.  I would like to consider the option of vaccinating DTaP, HIB and polio separately in 3 shots.  Polio separated from HIB separated from DTaP.  I reside in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, so those 2 places would be the most convenient.  But I also have no restrictions on going anywhere in Thailand with my child (barring any government Covid travel restrictions).

  2. Does anyone know if individual vaccines for polio, HIB and DTaP are available anywhere in Thailand?  As opposed to a vaccine that combines all 3 of these in one.  If available, i would like to know the vaccine trade name, manufacturer and hospital and location.

    Thanks

  3. Hotchili: that was the same experience i had with the online reporting page this week.

khunPer: office I’m using is CW.  Thanks for the additional info.

I will try the online reporting page again and if that fails, visit the CW office.  Hopefully it can be wrapped up in 2 min (wishful thinking).

Are the 90 days reports done at the main CW office now or at the satellite office at Muang Thong Thani?

  4. From my previous 90 day report, done online, the due date was 11 September 2020.  However, my extension of stay expired on 10 August 2020.  The new extension of stay is dated 1 September 2020 that has the stamp that says the notification of residence must be made every 90 days.

I made the assumption that the application to renew my extension of stay would serve as an address report and reset my 90 day clock, starting at 1 September 2020, as stated in the stamp in the passport.

    Was this a wrong assumption?

  5. I have not been successful in doing my 90 day report online.  I have been successful doing the 90 day report online before.  At www.immigration.go.th/en/#serviceonline, i see a window that says the online service is not supported if “it is first time of the 90 days notification”.  I am on my second extension of stay based on marriage, granted 3 months ago.

My question is, after a second extension of stay is granted, 90 days after, does that count as the “first time” for the 90 days report and the report must be done in person or by proxy and cannot be done online?

  6. i wanted to know how many days before the expiration of my one year stay based on marriage can i apply for an extension of stay.  i read 15 days, but i wanted to confirm.

does anyone have any current (this month) experience at CW with an extension of stay based on marriage?  will they issue the extension on the spot or will you have to wait (under consideration)?  if you have to wait, will the pick up date be based on when you applied for the renewal or the expiration date of the prior extension.

    thank you

  7. Hello.

I am working in Thailand. I have a US passport. My work permit has been renewed, but my extension of stay expired a few days ago. The company is waiting on getting various documents (tax, etc) that is required to renew the extension of stay. It in unclear how long it will take to receive the documents. I would guess upwards of more 10 days. I'd like to know what are my options and implications and relative ease?

1- continue to wait in Bangkok and pay a fine to immigration while the extension of stay is being process? i think the fine is 500 baht per day? at what point will this be viewed negatively on my passport.

2- leave Bangkok, pay the overstay fine and re-enter with a tourist visa. change the tourist visa into a B visa and then get an extension of stay. I understand if i arrive via land i will get only 15 days while via air 30 days? Is Burma (Htee Khee) the closest or Poipet?

3- leave Bangkok, pay the overstay and go to a Thai Consulate to apply for a B visa. Reenter with a B visa and get an extension of stay. What is the current closest and least hassle place to do this?

4- not sure if there's another option?

    Any advice, opinions, recommendations appreciated.

    Thank you

  8. Current situation is work permit expired last week and was renewed/extended for another year. Passport will expire in 5 months and new passport will arrive in 2 weeks.

Question is do I have to apply for another "B" visa? If so, can this be done in country?

I believe I am in the country on an "extension of stay" based on my valid work permit. Since the work permit was renewed/extended, will the "extension of stay" remain in effect and allow me to not have to apply for another visa? My 90 day reporting is current.

    Thank you in advance.

  9. For what it's worth, I was told if I obtain a 7 day extension on my Non-Immigrant B visa, I would not be able to subsequently extend the visa with a one year visa extension and that I would be required to leave Thailand on or before the 7 day extension expired. I was told this "law" was changed as of Aug 29th. I also confirmed this with another officer at the Chang Watthana immigration office.

  10. Thank you UbonJoe. As a backup plan just in case the request for a 1 year extension falls through today, does requesting a 7 day extension sound reasonable and my best course of action (possibly my only option besides leaving the country)? Do you know if the 7 day extension is granted today, will it have any negative impact on subsequently requesting a 1 year extension of stay?

  11. Hello,

I need some advice regarding my situation, thai visas and extensions of stays.

I am in Thailand on a Non-Immigrant B visa. This visa expires on September 2, which is today. I don't think this matters, but this Non-Immigrant B visa was issued in Bangkok after entering Thailand on a Tourist Visa. I have been issued a work permit in Thailand.

I apologize in advance for probably not knowing the specific terms I should be using. Please bear with me if I use an improper term and please correct me.

I won't get into the details, but I have been trying to get an extension of stay based on a Non-Immigrant B visa and having a valid work permit. I believe I will have all the necessary documents ready by 3pm today.

    Here are my questions:

1- Due to my Non-Immigrant B visa expiring today and that I won't have documents to request an extension of stay until late in the day, should I get a 30 day extension first, just in case there is a problem with the extension of stay request?

2- Will getting a 30 day extension in any way cause a problem with a request of extension of stay based on my work permit?

3- Are there any other issues I should be aware of or concerned with?

Let me know if more details are needed and thank you in advance.

  13. 1- Is there such a thing where a rich thai can help obtain a US touist visa for a thai student by vouching that they will return to Thailand? If so, what would be an average amount of time would it take to process before the visa is granted?

2- After a US male citizen has married a thai girl and registers the marriage, what is the typical amount of time before a US non-immigrant visa can be granted after the application is submitted. The relationship can be proved to exist for 3 years before the marriage and the thai girl owns a home in Bangkok.

    Thanks in advance

  14. My main goal here is just to get a driver's license with the least hassles.  I'll change the paperwork to request just a single entry visa.  With just a single entry visa request, will I need additional company paperwork besides the letter of request for the NON-B?  Do you think this request would be a problem at the Laos embassy or would you still prefer to go to a Malaysian embassy?

  15. You need any type of Non-Immigrant Visa, maybe you should ask for a company letter from the company you know, and travel abroad to get a NON-B,try a double entry. Penang or Kota Bahru would be the easiest.

    George,

I got a letter from a company reqesting a NON-B, multiple entry.  I was wondering why you didn't recommend going to the Thai consulate in Ventiane, Laos?  Do you think asking for a multiple entry visa would cause me problems?  It's not that I particulary need a multiple entry, but just copied the letter that's on the site here.

  16. I had the same problem with my previous apartment that I lived at. The apartment gave me the option of having a direct line installed, but I would have had to shell out over 5000 baht for various fees and deposits to get the line installed. I never really quite understood what the exact charges were going to be, so I never went that route. I now live in an condo complex called PST Condo off of Rama 3 with a permanent TOT phone line and pay 100 baht per month plus phone charges. The rooms range in price from 10 to 20k.
  17. I have a friend starting a thai company and he has asked me to be one of the foreign shareholders.

Are there any legal obligations or responsibilities that I am assuming if I become a shareholder?  If the company does anything wrong, will this affect the shareholders in any way.  Will I have to file any forms of any kind such as tax or income reporting?
