Hold the phone again...i arrived back in Phuket early yesterday....lamb is on the menu at happy days tomorrow!!! I have convinced Daeng that I think it is a good idea. I hope a few people from the forum show up and give it a try

Not knowing anything about Cambodia, we booked plane trips, accommodation, tours of Siem Reap through a travel agent in the pier road in Chalong just near the police box. (I tried to get a photo of The Grinch and Lieutenant [Rude Word Sons Shouldn't Use in Front of Their Mothers] but they were apparently inside watching the soccer on satellite TV).

It worked very well. The hotel was a bit of a ripoff, but everything, including transfers from the airport, worked smoothly. We will use this lady again when we go to Vietnam.

The only glitch was my son's Thai girlfriend who was quite indignant about having to pay a Visa fee.

Obviously you haven't seen me in my 6XL cossie. Cost me a fortune too! Covers up all sorts of elderly lumps & bumps.

I agree - it's disrespectful to show heaps of flesh. And some people are a real visual pollution.

I have had my bike licence for about 40 years and haven't had any heartstopping moments on a bike yet. However, being a big fat old falung female makes the locals take notice. They seem to surround me like a mother duck with her ducklings. LOL

Wear a decent helmet and put something between your skin and the road - especially from your knees and elbows down.
