I grew up in Sale, Cheshire, England.

On leaving school at the age of 18, I lived in the London area.

I passed the mathematics exams of the Institute of Actuaries.

I did actuarial and computer programming and analysis work.

I am now retired and live in Pattaya, Thailand.

I did a 365 day round-the-world trip starting from Nice in France in March 2002 and visited Singapore, Thailand, Bali, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia and the USA.
