For me the only choice Is Bernie Sanders, as far as i can see he has not ties to Wall street or big Corp....HIs Agenda has a history, not what people want to hear....now.....
His Agenda will help most of Americans, not just the few....but we have to win back control of the Congress.....

I live in Chiang MAi, for 4 years now, and just went thru a bout of Dengue, no laughing matter. Luckily it was a mild case, heavy symptoms for one week, then some fatigue for 2nd week.
I'm almost 64 yr, normal wt. no diabetes, eat a good diet but not perfect....go see a Dr. for platelet count, that is important, if too low they will monitor you closer, danger of bleeding.

These private rooms in homes are called Casas Particulares, which most are legit....they have to pay a monthly fee to the government in order to continue.....Air BNB has many on its books,
these homes provide a comfortable stay, home cooked meals, usually better and less expensive than gov. run hotels and restaurants....last time i was there they rent for 20-30 CUC per nt. also a bargain compared to hotels...

if i am not mistaken, we loose 15 days everytime we do online, yu have to do the online 15 days b4 your due date, then if approved your new 90 days begins on that date which is the 15 day prior, then next time your due its 15 days b4 that date....do i have this wrong....if not we loose 60 days for the year....its better than going in and doing it at imm. but can't tis be corrected via computers??
i don't like the idea of mail ins...

it's up to the USA to make the first move, Gross broke Cuban laws, Cuba has tried to negotiate, but US gov. is impotent....stuck in old ways that have not worked for over 50 years....
I thought Obama would take it further than he did, beyond better travel and financial factors, but no, it seems his hands are tied, all due to politics not human rights...

I know this is for thailand, but had my first eye done in India, at specialized hospital that do 100-200 per day, i stayed in there beautiful mini mansion, for one week, they wanted to make sure all was fine and not infections before i flew home to USA...
all in all food, room, personal service, and all medical RX costs....$450.00
then they tell me that with this money they can operate on 4 locals for free....
i felt good about the whole thing.. the dr. i saw trained in the states....my 2nd eye is starting to fuzz up, so i am prepping for possible procedure, i would go back to India....same place....

Hello, today i went to thai immigration near airport for the letter to buy new Bike, i was informed that that service is now by Pomerada shopping mall, directly across the mall/south side of main road, behind a Pink/orange restaurant name Hua??? you need to take a dirt road to the building off the main road...
I hope this helps...

This reminds me so much of what Fidel Castro did to the USA back in the late 50's, except this was so much more polite, the thai way, but very direct....
The USA is not a democracy, its being run by the ones that have the most money, The peoples wishes and voices are not being heard, I guess similar to what the previous government was doing here in Thailand....

I believe, i hope im not shooting myself in the foot, that the military is to protect the kingdom, the monarchy, the thai people.
not the Reds or the yellow shirts....correct me if im wrong..
this is what has been expressed to me... they saw that neither side could come to any agreement after 6 months of protest and violence....they brought them together at the end and no go....
Reminds me of what goes on in Washington DC....GOP and DEms can't get their shit together...

"They don't want a coup, they don't want military rule in this country and they are making their voices heard," she told ABC News 24.
"I would say it's a real mix of people. It's women, old and young, and there are men, old and young as well. There are students.ABC news only reporting on what the anti coup protesters are saying...hmmm wonder why? I 've spoken to a few thais up here in red shirt country and so far they all welcome the coup....ABC news a one sided news source, of course they want to promote USA gov. sentiments. of anti coup. The thais want no interference from outside esp. the USA....they have also said the commander of the junta is a good guy, they seem to trust his actions so far....
aster hearing this i actually feel better...
But the Thaksin rumblings makes me wonder how stable it's going to be around here???

I agree with all the recommendations so far....ko ha definite day trip for ocean fun...
go to kong klong area, further south, before you get to moon??? resort, there is a great Northern Thai restaurant, not cheap but worth one meal there...great viewing spot for sunsets also, they are #2 on trip advisor now....BEACH HOUSE RESTAURANT.
A little difficult to find but worth it..it can get busy in the evenings but you can call ahead and reserve, only about 6 tables with great views.
Junie and Kitty.....082 295 6628... 086 016 9554...

ok does of you who deny climate change, i live in chiang mai, when there is no rain here the air becomes hazy, gritty, tough to breath, mostly from auto/scooter emissions, then you add charcoal burnings then during land burning season it really sucks.....so it may not change the climate but it sure makes breathing unacceptable.....
this is directly caused by human actions, not natural environmental reasons....this is not theoretical but what we are currently living with.
So if we act now to reduce any amounts of pollutants it will make life better now and in the future.....

Hey guys I agree with original poster, I just did exactly what he wrote here in Chiang Mai, got there before 9 am, finished before 10am. Had CAl lic. still good so did not need to do written test nor driving, i got both car and motorbike, only color blind and reflex test, very easy, 360 bht....I did not bring an interpreter, they where very helpful there with english translations. All on the up and up... no bribes needed.
