  1. Hi i need some advice .

My wifes friend (A) and her girlfriend ( B ) have applied for a Tourist Visa to visit Oz for 12 days in April.

The friend ( B ) has been refused a visa on the Clause 600.212: Not have adequate means to support / Have access to adaquate means of support during the period of stay .

She Showed her bank book which had 70.000 Bht in it .But it was put in her bank in a short period of time . They have mentioned this in the refusal letter. Also saying she did not provide info regarding the source of the funds, and they wernt satisified the the balance in the account are a true indication od her financial situation .

She works for a large foreign firm.

She has travelled overseas a few times before , last Dec went to the USA.

My Wife and myself sent an invitation letter .

I have attatched the Letter of refusal

Id like to know what to do to for her to reapply .

They stressed , my wife is stressed and im trying Not to be stressed

  2. Couple of years ago i Lost my wallet , while riding a motor bike on Phuket . The next day i was going to Bangkok .

Had my C/Cards about 3000 Baht and papers in it. I was lucky i had thai friends that lent me some money to get me by.

About 4 days later when in Bkk i received an envelope addressed to me at the hotel i was staying .

All my papers and C/Cards were in it But NO Money ..... At least i got my papers and Cards back .

They found the Card to where i was staying in Bkk and sent the envelope to me .

That lesson ( be more carerful with your wallet ) cost me 3000 Baht

    Live and learn

  3. Last year i went to Phuket to visit friends for a week and hired a motorbike , the day before i was to go back to Bangkok i (stupidly ) put my wallet in my back pocket and went out riding . When i returned to my room i realized i had lost the wallet containing 3500 baht, Credit cards Ect . I had only coins left and had to pay for the room , taxi to airport ect .

I have thai friends who i have been visiting on Phuket for about 20 years and they lent me 5000 baht to get me back to Bangkok .

A week after i was back in Bkk a letter was sent to the hotel i was staying at and in it was my C/Cards , papers ect and letter saying these were found , but no money or wallet .

I was happy to receive my cards ect and consider the loss of the money as a lesson to be careful where u put your wallet .

  5. It's a strange topic.

Firstly, even though he holds Australian citizenship (a passport), he is essentially an Irishman.

Secondly, I was led to believe that he was a 'cut lunch commando' (reservist) & not a member of a permanent military force.

Irish or Australian does not matter.

This man is a dangerous and evil well trained sniper, possibly the same guy that the Red hire to take out 6 people in Wat Pathum.

The following is from a Blog i found .. http://isaanstyle.blogspot.com/2010/05/conor-david-purcell-and-his-15-minutes.html

    "Anonymous said... Hi all,

Conor served with Bravo and Charlie Companies of the 16th Battalion, Royal Western Australian Regiment. He served in my company. His claims to training with Singapore and Malaysian Armies are true as we trained with them whilst on full-time deployment with Rifle Company Butterworth in Penang.

His claims to working extensively with SASR however are a little embellished. Due to 16 and 11/28 battalions being the only infantry battalions in Western Australia, they do work as support playing enemy to SASR on occasions but never actually trained WITH them. He may however, have attended a selection course for SASR as many Reservists have. Some have been successful but if Conor did then he wasn't successful. Selection doesn't train you as a Trooper but puts you through a grueling few weeks to try and weed out any physical or mental weakness.

My experience with Conor has never been as a close friend but I have worked closely with him. He is, as someone mentioned earlier, mad as a cut snake in an eccentric kind of way. I do think he's the kind of bloke that wants to help but always seemed to go about it the wrong way by jumping on the band wagon before he knew the full story. While we were in Malaysia he tried to get involved in the local scene. A bit of a 'do gooder'.

Conor, stay out of this one mate. Don't be naive. "
