I have seen many males around the world sharing a single piece of cake in just one plate, but sometimes they used each a spoon to enjoy the treat. And many more times I have seen two different kinds of cake slices in just one plate! Neve I thought that using a fork could be understood as gay!

It Imposes Its Acceptance on All Society
By legalizing same-sex “marriage,” the Thailand Govt. becomes its official and active promoter. The Govt. will call on public officials to officiate at the new civil ceremony, order public schools to teach its acceptability to children, and punishe any Govt. employee who expresses disapproval.
In every situation where marriage affects society, the Govt. will expect all Religious folks to betray their beliefs and consciences by condoning, through silence or act.
The natural tendency of such a union is not to create families.
It's hard enough now raising children by the biological parents nevermind children being raised by gay partners who are not related to them, and how this may affect the children. they will never experience the many nuances of experiences and cultural differences having to do with male and female. There will be no mom and dad balance, do you want to be raised this way or have your family members raised in such a home?
This movement has nothing to do with equality, right to marry etc.. it has to do with making the Govt. and people of Thailand accept their lifestyle.
Just because I don't believe in the Gay movement and their beliefs, it doesn't make me a homophobe, gay basher etc.
If you want to accept this movement fine, just don't try and put it on me, as I'm entitled to my beliefs as well, with the right to protect and promote them.
Don't be a hater... because I'm a Straight Guy.
It does not impose anything. Do not worry, nobody is going to force you to marry another straight guy.

This forum only works because there are rules. Some things are forbidden and there are mods. to enforce those rules. If you removed those restrictions then many threads would quickly degenerate into screeching matches.
Society works the same way. There are some things that are allowed and some that are forbidden. Different societies have different rulebooks but it's still the rules that define a society. Marriage between a man and a woman is a fundamental institution in every human society, and the restrictions surrounding it are not something to be lightly set aside.
Otherwise, like a forum without rules, the whole thing degenerates into an unregulated free for all.
Marriage between a man and a woman is not a fundamental institution in every human society. Where did you got that? In Denmark, and Denmark is quite a very human society, marriage is a fundamental institution between two human beings. I hear that this is aswell in Spain, France and quite like more 11 or 12 countries.

The test to a marriage is generally consent. A dog cannot consent to marriage.
I'm afraid it's a bit more complicated than that. In some cultures first cousins can consent to marriage. In some, ten year old girls are said to be consenting. In many cultures, representing at least a billion people, no one really cares if the woman consents or not, and yet they marry, have children, grow old and die.
So I'm afraid consent is neither a prerequisite nor a test of marriage.
Marriage conditions as you just described look pretty messed to me, huh? So why the game of not allowing two consensual same sex adults to marry?

Here's a very open question I just have to ask - if gay and lesbian communities around the world succeed in their demands to be given equality would they consider stopping all the parades to celebrate being different ?
I do not think they celebrate being different. I think they just demand rights and equal rights, in a colourfull manner.

I gotta say that these gay marriages aren't really that great. The last thing the world needs is an HIV explosion.
So may be you should read facts like these http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/14/hiv-infection-rates-soar-among-poor-heterosexuals_n_2876339.html

Bearing in mind that the main aim of any species is further the existence of that species surely the legalising of any same sex union, which is unable to procreate, is actually a retrograde step and indeed a move toward extinction.
I think a move toward extincion is polluting the water of rivers and lakes, and since there are more heterosexuals than homosexuals, heterosexuals bear a great ammount of guilt in polluting rivers and lakes, therefore heterosexuals actively contribute toward extincion.

If same sex people wish to party or spend a life time together - so be it. Who really cares?
no one, "legalise same-sex relationships" is therefor nonsense. It wasn't illegal like in Saudi Arabia.
But the point is, if it is good if two gays can adopt young boys. Which might be complete OK in 99 %, but what is with the 1 % where real bad things happen??
According to your way of thinking, the point could aswell be if a different sex couple cand adopt young boys .... but what is with the 1 % where real bad things happen?

The headline may mislead. Washington ties to many indicates something POLITICAL/governmental as in Washington D.C. unless you specify Washington STATE.
I agree with you. Headline "Washington ties" has caused a lot of moveement at our desk.

When I met her she was with a super gay Thai guy
Hej, in what context is this "super" to be understood, like superman? How do you know he was gay? Did you realized that he was gay because he was a guy?

Sorry pal, I do not know what to say, I can not help you more than to tell you to keep calm, I feel you are horrified, but just think, you are not at all able to drive. I can only suggest if you need to get away to hire an ambulance or a limo, but no way you should just drive by your self. I wish you the best, sorry I can not give you a better counsel.

I wasn't aware that PM's were required to attend ALL parliament meetings. As head of state, she's supposed to have other duties isn't she? Meeting with foreign leaders and such...
The PM, she is not Head of State. Head of State is HM The King of Thailand.

In this case I understand this topup2rich is run by a Kenny Zea whom flashes Master Degree from Mahidol University, Polymer Science and Technology and he looks asian, at least to me. He is also into "vnetglobal.net" and "vnetglobal.org", all websites filled with big cars, big houses, dollars, gold, happy families, big smiles and lots of big figures.

Hello there, the talk of the day for some of my thai friends is about a home business called "topup2rich". I have tried to get some info but all I find is in thai, and my friends cannot give me a satisfactory explanation. For what I can understand and for the material I have seen on the internet this biz sounds like a ponzi scheme scam and I am making my thai friends aware of it, but they do not get my explanation of a pyramid scheme scam. Any experience with this? Thanks.

"The large group of mainly Thai taxi drivers protested in Bang Tao yesterday (January 28) against Russian businesses who are, they say, undercutting the market and taking business from locals."
I do not get it. Is this protest against Russian taxi drivers in Phuket?
And why the bombastic ? ‘Many foreigners working illegally’, say officials
Well, I do not thing many farang repatriate funds to their origins, but largely expend those illegally obtained in LOS in buying condos and beers and supporting girl- or boyfriends, right?

Even if it is only a 1% chance he does.
Can't agree more. Call me old fashioned as well. Thats why I have taken my boy out of Thailand now he is at school age. I definitely do not want him growing up as a "woman"I taught at a Thai U for several months. In each of my seven classes, there was at least one katoy, some classes had two, one had three. I see an increasing number of young 'boys' being influenced by older kids / pee chai / TV shows, etc, and becoming effeminate. Thailand must certainly be the 'hub of effeminate men.' I'd estimate over 10% of school boys are headed that direction. Call me old-fashioned, but I don't think it's a good trend, or even liberating.
Maybe just coincidence; but every Thai college gal who screws around for extra income, has a katoy acting as an agent. Actually, it's not coincidence, but rather a natural role for effeminate men to fill.
Another sad post. I hope your son does not grow as you did, at all.

You are just so wrong.
