  1. Yes, I will apply for an extension as a spouse and will use 400K in the bank

(I want to get/keep the status with the 400k in bank).

I just want to be sure about the process because I am not going together with my wife to Thailand and I have to start work, and the company has to arrange the workpermit for me when I arrive in Thailand.

For the workpermit I decided to keep my NON-O Visa, that will be then converted to an extension stay. So the workpermit will be given to the Non-O Visa, after converted to the extension stay based upon marriage, anything to change regarding the workpermit?

My wife she will be in Thailand later on, if I have to apply for the extension based upon marriage.

  2. After arrived in Thailand, when do I have to apply for an extension?

Just after entered the country, or before the visa expires?

Is the current NON-O-Visa applicable for getting the workpermit?

If yes, how about when getting the extension, anything to change regarding the workpermit? Or how does it work?

Does my wife need to be with me for that process, or only later for the extension application?

  3. Both, income from work, or 400K THB on an bank account, would be possible for me.

How this works with the 90-day reporting at immigration office?

Do I have to go there personally or email would be fine?

Could this be done at every immigration office nearby?

Or do I have to go to the immigration office where it has been applied for?

How this works with the 1 year extension of stay based upon marriage to a Thai and also with renewal process after 1 year?

Do I have to go there with my wife together?

I ask, because my wife works outside the country and wont be permanently in Thailand.

  4.

    Hello,

I am going to work in Thailand.

Currently quite unsure, if it's better to keep my Non-O visa or get the Non-B visa.

Any advices regarding that topic for me?

Normally I would like to keep my Non-O visa state.

The renewal of the workpermit can be done together with the Non-B visa, that I know.

If hold the Non-O visa, the renewal of both has to be done separately.

    Thanks.

  5. Dear all,

I am going to move from Germany to Thailand, but I am not really sure about

what I can keep in Germany and what not.

    What I mean is:

     - keep my bank account in Germany

     - stay registered in Germany

     - pay voluntarily for the pension, if yes how much would be adequate

     ...

Not sure if the topic is in the right category.

If not, please admins move it.

  6. Thanks a lot for your responses, these help me for understanding the way to do more clear.

For the extension of stay based on marriage I already fulfill the necessary requirements, if apply for it.

I already checked at the immigration office during my last stay in Thailand.

I didnt know, that for reporting to the immigration office, there are different ways how to do.

I thought, I have to go each 90 days with my wife there for show. But I haven't. I didnt know that.

Is the reporting method in each immigration offices the same, or does some offices only accept if you come by yourself ?

    Right ?

Yes. You would need to provide a copy of your marriage certificate.

To whom I have to provide a copy of the marriage certificate ? The company ?

Because I already hold the NON-IMMIGRANT-O multiple visa.

  7. Thanks for reply !!

Ok the process is almost (!) clear fo me.

So, I have to enter Thailand with my NON-IMMIGRANT-O multiple visa.

The company can arrange the workpermit for me, idepentently if I hold the NON-IMMIGRANT-O multiple visa or the 1 year extension.

Right ? The workpermit is not linked to the 1 year extension or NON-IMMIGRANT-O multiple visa directly ?

Can I apply for the visa extension only before the last 30 days ? Or also direct after entering Thailand ?

But if holding the 1 year extension, I have to go to immigration office each 90 days for show, or not ?

  8. Hello, I have several questions about which I couldn't get any clearness.

Sorry, if similar questions have already been post somewhere in the forum, but I could not find.

I dont stay in Thailand now, I stay abroad.

I am currently holding a NON-IMMIGRANT-O multiple entry visa, that I want to use for staying in Thailand.

To avoid visa runs, I want to do a visa extension at the immigration office in Thailand,

where I already cleared all necessary request that I completely fulfill. I am not retired worker !

Am I right that the NON-IMMIGRANT-O visa can only applied abroad and not in Thailand itself ?

The visa extension of the NON-IMMIGRANT-O visa can be renewed each year at the immigration office,

is that right? I dont need to apply a new NON-IMMIGRANT-O visa abroad ?

Can the visa extension only be applied in the city/province where I and my wife are registered

or in any city/province in Thailand ?

If I get a workpermit from a company, which visa will be used for entering Thailand ?

My current NON-IMMIGRANT-O multiple visa, or will I get another type of visa to enter Thailand ?

The reason for asking these questions is the following:

Now, I am holding a NON-IMMIGRANT-O multiple visa, that I can extend to a 1-Year-visa,

and I can renew it each year, if I fulfill each year the requirements.

But if I get a workpermit from a company now and I have to apply for a NON-IMMIGRANT-B Visa

I will lose my NON-IMMIGRANT-O multiple visa.

After the contract with the company has been finished I dont have a visa anymore,

and to apply a new NON-IMMIGRANT-O multiple visa I have to go abroad.

I am right ? Or how is the process in that case ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  9. hello

can somebody explain to me how much is the income tax for a specific salary.

Does an acutal list of the government exist where I can take a look?

When do you have to pay the income tax, monthly or yearly??

Can somebody give an example please? What amount of money do you can charge off the income tax?

What is the expat packages?? Does anybody can explain to me?? Does it still exist or is it of older days

I am speaking here as employee, not as company.

    thx a lot

  10. I am from Germany and I would like to make an application for the position as science teacher.

After working for different IT-companies in Germany I am looking for a new challenge in a job in asia.

During my studies in computer sciences and my former school education I have also a very good knowledge in maths and physics.

Please feel free to contact me for complete resume and CV

  11. Then they will take care of all work permits and visa etc..40.000- 60.000 baht in bkk...or if you want teach up in the sticks looking at 30.000 baht

    thx a lot

any concrete idea where i can make an application?

  12. And Thais will accept 20,000baht, so for a business owner which is the best option:

    1. German with a salary of +40,000Bht, with Work Permits and Visa Extensions to pay for

    or

    2. Thai national who will work all day long for 20,000baht, who speaks the same language as me.

I know which one I would choose

I know i would choose the same :-)

  13. you can ask for the same salary as a Thai, but for an extension to your Visa you will need to have a contract for over at least 40,000baht per month. A Thai will take a lot less.

It all depends if the Thai company is dealing and trading with companies outside of Thailand.

Then they will need to pay more for lets say some one who as very good IT skills and is fluent in English Etc.

PS How is your English? ..could always be a teacher they screaming out for them in Thailand

My english is good enough for teaching. It would be an good option for me.

  14. you can ask for the same salary as a Thai, but for an extension to your Visa you will need to have a contract for over at least 40,000baht per month. A Thai will take a lot less.

about the monthly salary for over at least 40,000 bht/month for the visa i know. it makes it not very easy in finding sth. :-(

  15. You will need a degree and have something that makes you stand out above the much cheaper Thai competition.

If you don't have an extra advantage/reason for a company to hire you. You will not get a work permit if the government thinks a Thai could do the job you are applying for.

Something special could be the languages that you speak/write.

I speak german and have a bachelors degree in computer science.

Also i make apply for job offers with same salary amount as for thai people, therefore the only difference is that i am no local and need visa and work permit.

  16. The only thing you are doing wrong is that you apply by email and expect then to reply to you. In Thailand that is not likely to happen.

I dont know how to make an effort in finding an accurate job when i dont get an reply to my applications even though in the job offers are requested for an application as email.

Which way will be successful in making an application to a thai company for getting a reply.

  17. Also remember if they employ you they will have to pay a lot more money, they could employ a few more Thais for the same amount. You would probably want relocation benefits.

Also what kind of job are you looking for?

Looking for a job in the IT business: support, software development, administrating, ...

also i am exposed in doing other jobs like teaching science or mathematics in english or similar (but i am not a native speaker).

I studied computer science and have 5 year work experience in software development.

  18. Hello to all users of the forum

i have a question about job application for companies in thailand.

I started writing a lot of emails to different companies in thailand regarding to their job offers on diverse job platforms in the internet.

But not any of the companies wrote ever back. I was thinking of my german email accout that my emails are handled as junkmails and ending in the recycle bin.

So i decided to create a new email account at an other provider, but in the same way i dont get an answer to my emails.

Anybody an idea why they dont write back?

I wrote about 50 applications to different companies and not any one single answer till now :-(

thx a lot for your assistance
