  1. My experience is that you don't get a price discount but a lot of extras. ( during my last 3 new cars )

When I asked for a discount when if paid the full prize in cash, I received a lot of stuff and free first rate insurance but no discount

So don't except a money discount from the official Benz dealer.

On the other hand, I told a salesman at a motorshow last month that I was really interested in a E350 Convertible which was prized at 3.8 MM ( which is already a very good prize ) the salesman dropped the prize direct to 3.4 MM.

So it is possible but in my experience not at the official car brand dealers.

Wow 400,000 is good drop. But 3.8MM is very good price for a E350 Cabrio still. Can I inquiry which motorshow or which type? I might have to stalk the shows. It is a shame, there is no haggling for at a benz dealer. Looking at the volume of sale vs inventory and ridiculous prices , you would expect the 2010 models would drop a bit. Thank you for responding.

  2. Greetings, I have a question for the folks here that have had experience with Benz Dealers. I am in the market for a 2011 Benz. More than likely a E coupe. I am kind of new to Thailand and not sure how much room there is for negotiations on the listed price. I have seen one for ~4 mil. How much of a mark up is there? 5-10% What should I expect to lower the price if I haggle? I will probably put 50% down and work with a bank. Finally, would it be different, if my Thai wife goes alone instead of a Farang trying to haggle in Thaiglish? Then I can sneak in and finalize the sale.

    Thanks guys for any input.
