I'm 51 and had the 'SinoPharm' jab, both shots here in Shanghai. No issues and extremely well organised by the government - took about 10 minutes - paid 100 Yuan for each shot.

I have the Thai Air AMEX Platinum and I use it whenever I can to increase my points. The points stay on the card (don't expire) and I simply transfer them across to my Thai Airways account when needed for free flights and upgrades. It's definitely something for nothing IMHO.

Is it possible to obtain a single re-entry permit on a 90 day single-entry non-immigrant-O visa (dependent) either at CW immigration or at the airport
How did you get on with this as I'm in the same situation and interested in doing the same thing?? Basically I work in China and can get a 90 day O single entry, but I only stay in Bangkok around 10-14 days per trip every 4-5 weeks

Can't remember exactly - couple of weeks - good service at VFS at Trendy

SWIFT is for say Telegraphic Transfers from account to account - pointless for 15K. Why not just use your debit card in an ATM - cost for an overseas card is 180 baht per transaction

Does anyone know of any reasonable schools/classes in Bangkok around Sukhumvit that offer ED visas. Maybe even home/work schooling as I'm limited on time.
I already have a choice of marriage or business visa but this would be a good way to force myself into learning more Thai...

Suggest you look through craigslist: http://bangkok.craigslist.co.th/
It's also worth posting an ad of your requirements on there and let the offers come to you. You should also look under the rooms and shares section - a room share might be a good idea for you..

You'll find most the shops are just fronts that sell the material only and they then send the garments to a local factory for them to be made. Nothing wrong with that - just watch the price and like you said you get what you pay for...
I've used small, off the beaten track shops that do the lot and not much difference from the main road shops apart from the price..
I've used Windsor tailors on Suk 20 for some trousers and shirts recently, mainly for convenience as too where I work. All excellent at a reasonable price...

Just be careful, if she is really ill/sick when returning to Oz, she may not be allowed to fly without medical supervision which was around GBP20K for an English friend of mine..He didn't make it and I arranged the cremation etc with some help from Thai friends...
The bulkier bones etc from the cremation we took to the beach and his brother took the ashes home in his suitcase, nothing declared. Easier that way..

Good choice of draught beers and happy hour til 8 around 80-100 baht a pind depending on what you drink. They did have a special on draught san migs pints at 100 baht all day, all night. Not sure if it's still running though.
Above average food in my opinion at reasonable prices...Good sports feeds shown across the inner lounge area, mid bar area and outside area...

I got an Amex some years ago now and did not have a work permit.
Normally all application forms ask for a work permit but when I applied it was not on the form......I also sent reams of bank statements showing a good income and savings in Thailand and offshore.
Did not hear anything for about 4 months and then the Amex card arrived in the post..
Tried again recently for a Visa card and included annual statements of my Amex but got knocked back - work permit required!!

I'm living and working in China - travel is not banned, but you have to re-apply for visas to return and then there is currently 3 weeks quarantine, 3rd week at home..
