  1. Well I don't know why the first post was closed but maybe the owner asked for it due to bad reports? I'm still at the table here and I have to say I am not impressed at all. Chicken Chow Mien, Chicken Chop Suay, Mixed vegetables, and 2 beer Leo= 500 baht. The chop suey and the chow mien tasted the same except for some water chessnut's. Most boring I have ever had. The stir fried veggies were un-eatable and the Broccoli must have been 3 days old. Looks great on the plate but better off left there. I'm into taste NOT looks. Nothing like western Chinese food at all. I'm not a high roller when it comes to spending a lot on eating out but every so often I treat myself. Now I'm sitting here whiting I just went for 30 baht KHao Pat. I didn't even ask to have the left overs to take home. I think Bok Choy is MUCH better and even that doesn't compare to western style Chin food. I WON'T BE BACK !!!

  2. It was his prices that were the real crime. These dildo's etc when made in foreign countries are made in real and clean factories under government manufacturing rules and are made with 100% clean materials etc. After all, look where these things go. To make them in some dirty filthy sweat shop on soi 5 and then sell them not only locally but export them as well knowing where these things are put....... the guy should be charged with putting woman's (and some men I guess) health in jeopardy. This is just plain SICK. I know where I would like to see some of his products go as part of his penalty. So this tourist police you are calling a rat could very well be saving your wife (or daughter back home) some costly and embarrassing medical visits.

  3. It's about time someone realized that it's the elite that is destroying the country and NOT the rural folk. Just like every other country, the rich get richer.........

What pisses me off is to see the many farang that come on TV here and think that THEY are the elite and support these elite yellow shirts. These farang elite really do think that their rice does come from the supermarkets.

  4. What people are not saying here is that even with a work permit you are still NEVER a resident of Thailand and are just guests. Even retirement visas, you"re still a guest. Would your country give a credit card to foreign guest? Also even with a work permit most banks require that you have worked for the same company with the one work permit for minimum 2 year but some ask for 4 years.

  5. Ok I understand now but that is crazy. Most places I have stayed around 30 sq meters and I use tons of elect is only 900 baht and I mean with elec hot water heater, computers, ovens, toasters, TV,'stereo, fridge, micro wave etc etc

  6. You expats all posting your exper opinions all the time should be aware that Thaksin also has an army of people watching your posts here and when he DOES get back in, your ip adresses shall get you all a free ticket back to your own countries and myself shush you all a farewell and don't let the door .........

I think Mr. T should be ordering you all to stay out of Thai politics although you all seem to think that YOU should all be running the country. I also think you should ALL keep quiet with your opinions regarding a Thai's statement (whether he is on the run or not) love for the Monarchy.

I hope you all get ousted when Mr. T does get back in for your anti Thaksin postings here.

  7. Yeah and why not just shut the rice farming industry and every other way of the Thai economies growth down? It would be cheaper to declare it an "Industrial Zone" and for the Government to pay for anyone who wants to move away from Mapthaput to a safer area to cover their moving/relocation costs and anyone who wants to stay stays on their own accord. The Thai economy is suffering enough and needs these industries to move forward.

By putting up walls in these industrial areas it only takes good paying jobs away from Thai's. Just like in western countries, people do not have to live close to the industries bit can still work there by commuting back and forth every day and the Government or big companies like PTTP, Shell etc could provide a hissing system for people who want to live in let's say Rayong or Pattaya but still work in Mapthaput. If workers or vendors chose to stay and live in Mapthaput it would be their decision.

I do agree that large Oil Refineries etc should be made to implement HSE regulations etc and like the same comps IRS do in Western countries get their plants running at 99.9% efficiency as safety and environmental control is just a tax write off for them anyways.
