  1. Hi giogio29,

Just read your... I have only been real prospecting in WA, and the first and most important thing is, its not luck, it has all to do with skills.....

then why you ended your message with ...Good luck to Y'all, ?????? whistling.gif

and why not ....Have a nice skill? rolleyes.gif

And no I do not walk with Woody modded SD2100 anymore since I sent it to Woody for repairing job and never seen it back .crying.gif .

    cheers,

    Paul

  2. Is this for real? I mean so many Thais work as construction workers getting sun burned or carry heavy stuff or risk getting cuts. Why are they not all mining for gold? And gold is a known precious in Thailand. Unlike , say in parts of Africa, they do not know what a stone by the name of diamond is worth.

They are doing right now in some parts of Thailand .( sorry I can not disclose here )

    Cheers,

    Paul

  3. Well if you have money to spend then buy the best ( $6,000 )as it can help you locate big deep nuggets . And if you buy the cheap one ( $700-$900 )then you will mostly find small nuggets on the surface. But the operating cost for both machine is the same ( travelling expense +meals +accommodations ). So in the long run, the expensive machine makes your family happy.biggrin.png

However , I forgot to tell you the con.....

once you find your first gold .......you will also get an incurable disease w00t.gif

    it's call yellow fever ..crazy.gif

oops sorry they call ...gold fever.whistling.gif

So I'd suggest that you buy a tennis racket .

    Cheers,

    Paul

  4. If you do not already own a metal detector , please don't buy . Go and buy tennis racket instead as you will also get suntan burned and some sweat.

But if you have plenty of fund in a bank and missus won't complain much when you buy a $6,000.- walking stick, then go ahead , order the best gold detector from states.

    Cheers,

    Paul

  5. I have received messages regarding gold detecting so let me answer here for every one will get the idea.

Every metal detector will find gold no matter what.

The most important thing in gold detecting is ...luck.. Yes luck comes first , without luck . sorry no gold .

The second important is the place . If you use the most expensive detector in the place where there is no gold then it's useless. ( so I'll make sure to take you to the right place. )

The last and least is your detector or pan .

Ok so as long as you have a working metal detector then you can come along.

Currently there are many places up north , middle and south of Thailand where you will find your gold rolleyes.gif and some of you will find very old stuff ( probably over 1,000 years old )

    fromcasio042.jpg

We usually stay in hotel during the trip as it's more convenient and safer for your gold. w00t.gif

The only place that we can do camping is the southernmost of Thailand ....Nara Thiwat as it is very safe.biggrin.png

We probably organize a trip in November as there is no rain ( except some place )

So those who really want to join please pm. me in advance and let me know where you from.

    Paul

  6. The place will be around Tak province.( 420 km north of Bangkok ) Preferable those who'd like like to join should own Gold Metal detecting. ( If not , I have 2 spare machines but you have to give 50% of gold find wai.gif )

Also please take your own transportation in case you want to leave earlier as this trip probably last at least 5-6 days.

We will not camp there so the accommodation will be in Tak province where it's easier to find suitable B/F

lunch box and dinner in town. (new and clean small guest house around 350-500 Baht )

Should have camel back or bottle of water with you while detecting,

  7. There is a sure way to prevent military in Thailand to perform any coup in future whistling.gif

.......the new government should have a sign agreement with US , EU, Japanese , Chinese and neighbor countries that if there is a coup in Thailand they will ban those military personal that involve in the coup and all the puppet government set up by the coup including their immediate families from entering their countries for life.rolleyes.gif

  8. Hi PatayaParent,

This is a site that shown how to make one .....http://www.4x4.in.th/campcar/campcar4.html ( unfortunately is in Thai but u can translate though )

I have a Freelander to travel around and found out that many places while you park under the shade to have a nap still have lot of mosquito during daytime. So I made two nets. ( that required magnetic rubber )

  9. I have a thin one , not strong and one side magnet ( excess from making car window's mosquito nets ). If it's what you are looking for , I can give you some.

  10. Hello spacedcowboy,

Those who are in the right path , do not play with internet or FaceBook.

Not even those who want to achieve simple meditation.

I am not sure what are you looking for , if you really want to learn the mindfulness then I may help.

But if you just want to write something on your FaceBook, sorry I have no time.

  11. Hawking sound is mostly come from Chinese family .

You can do both him and you a favor by showing this topic to him.

Or try to get his email address and I will send this topic for you.rolleyes.gif

Many Chinese in Thailand or in this world do not realize their Hawking sound may endanger their neighbor lives.

  12. .....Usually after dinner at night, about 8 pm....

no wonder why you falling to sleep easily.

After meal is the worse time for.... meditation.

Lord Buddha used the word....mao put ( literally means

the food you consumed made you drunk )

Early in the morning is the best time to meditate. Cause you already have had full sleep. It's best because you do not have anything to distract your mind. Then you meditate easier. Early morning meditation is the practice

    using all over Thailand.

Please change your habit if you want to progress in your meditation. No reading before meditation because you will think of what you just read during meditation.

If you can not avoid then a cup of coffee may be allowed.

    Be happy.

  13. OK. I went to see Matt this morning at the temple . The temple is at Samut Sakorn some 30 Kilometers from Bangkok, situated by a river. The temple is beautiful and quite famous.

I asked the lady flowers at the temple whether is there any farang in the temple? She said yes there is one now with the abbot.

He speaks little Thai but active and is very helpful.

Matt wai me first.( so he knows Thai's custom very well ), He told me that the embassy could not give the money nor ticket to him. But someone in the embassy tried to help him too by trying to contact whoever in UK but there was no respond so far.

I said is there anything I can help. He said (with British pride, I guessed ) there is some people came to see him and offer to help too, but he made the problem himself so he has to solve by himself. There was someone came to see him yesterday who will return back to England shortly and Matt gave some address.

So are you happy here? I asked. He said he's fine . He is now with the Abbot of the temple . And he teaches English to little kids around the area. He said if he save enough money for the ticket home and for the fines ( he over stayed in Thailand. ) Then the British embassy will issue new passport and take him to immigration at airport so he can fly back. ( without ticket to fly home , British embassy will not issue him new passport )

So how many kids you are teaching and when you think you will

have enough money to buy the ticket. He said around 10 and probably he will reach the target by the end of this year.

So I said good bye and got his phone number and promised to find more students around Samut Sakorn area. for him.

He seems fine to me and probably well fed. He said he had to go back to serve the Abbot. (I had no chance of talking to the Abbot as he was busy receiving offering from many Thais ) I think he is Abbot's right hand now and well taken care of.

  14. I had tried 30 years ago when there was a gold rush. Yes the price of silver went up with the gold but when I wanted to sell nobody wanted to buy so I had to offloaded in HongKong where they bought 10-20% lower than market price.

Better stick to gold bullion as it's much more easy to sell anywhere.

And both selling and buying prices in Thailand are quoated everyday in newspapers.

Besides there are many sizes of gold bars in Bangkok that you can

buy compare to what they had in gold market 30 years ago.

    Good luck.
