Thank you all for your comments but my thai driving licence is the old type paper not plastic and except for my name all thai as this is a life time driving licence no age limit .

i will visit the office in hang dong see if I can get the plastic 1 and International permit 

I am going to UK I understand for my stay there I am able to use my Thai driving licence

Any 1 with advise please do I need to get it translated or will transport dept give me 1 in English any help thank you

This will be the 2nd year I have been and the food was just like mother used to make 

The only difference was where they put the buffet last year it was on the back wall and easy to get to this year was a bit of a  let down as they put it in a corner near the bar not the best of places to small and people we pushing to get in  

Plenty of turkey /pork and a very good assortment of veg  and xmas putting with white sauce. Hats off to them hope next year to be there again

I have just rented land and went to the tessa Ban not sure spelling is right they told me you can rent the land for life so i had a contract drawn up this was agreed by the land owner and the tessa Ban did a house plan for me total cost for plan 3,000 bt once the house is built 80% I can go and register the house in my name and put the utilities in my name the staff were great giving me advise and so helpful

The came has been sold to I think canadian who has or had restaurants in Chiang Mai

Not true you need work permit and to get 1 you need 6 staff and a salary of 35,000 Bt per month
