  1. Good to take measures against "import" of the virus but don't forget : Nipah virus has been isolated from Lyle's flying fox (Pteropus lylei) in Cambodia[8] and viral RNA found in urine and saliva from P. lylei and Horsfield's roundleaf bat (Hipposideros larvatus) in Thailand.[9] Ineffective forms of the virus have also been isolated from environmental samples of bat urine and partially eaten fruit in Malaysia.[10] Antibodies to henipaviruses have also been found in fruit bats in Madagascar (Pteropus rufus, Eidolon dupreanum)[11] and Ghana (Eidolon helvum)[12] indicating a wide geographic distribution of the viruses. No infection of humans or other species have been observed in Cambodia, Thailand or Africa as of May 2018. In September 2023, India reported at least five infections and two deaths.[13] In July 2024, a new infection occurred and a 14-year-old boy died as a result of it.[14] In January 2026, five Nipah-cases were confirmed in the state of West Bengal in India.[15] (source : wikipedia)
  2. Stop trying to fight the consequences and resolve the cause !
  3. Very pleased to see the article focuses on his capability and competences for politics 😮😜
  4. Zero emissions, 55555555555 let me laugh ! Before infrastructure costing a lot, manage what is creating loads of pollution, here's a clue : - modified pick-up trucks - old trucks - old busses - fishing boats - burning crops - factory standards for their emissions - waste water management Improve that to 21st century standards and the country's emission will improve a lot. No big money to spend, just apply the laws... Oh there's the problem, no money involved equals no envelope falling off the table... If I remember well, a couple weeks ago some pm (maybe the same) was willing Thailand to be the hub of solar power ? Changed ideas again, what a surprise !
  5. Great, another great idea from this childish government (be it left or right wing, all the same). Tourist should just stop coming here so the country falls to the bronze age again. Now just wait until the 2 alcool monopoly companies see a decline in sales and government will reverse as it's those rich that truly govern the country. Sad to see this country will never evolve. Only hope is that educated youngs see the light but as most are brainwashed it won't be easy.
  6. If you're ok with other benzos, many pharmacies have lorazepam and some have diazepam. I've got some from pharmacy in soi 102 (near blueport 2nd parking), soi 112 (opposite 7/11) and top of soi 94. Just about any pharmacy has one or the other.
  7. I would like to see this thing in action. I wonder how the flying module is managing the recoil and with this, how accurate the gun is. My guess is that the recoil is not controlable making the shooting quite hasardeous moreover if trying to shoot something at 200m. Does it exists in other countries ? That could be a clue to the effectiveness of putting a asault riffle on a drone.
  8. There is fault both sides. The teen girl should have stopped 1m before but at least she stopped. Her driving is dangerous and she should learn how to stop in a crossing. The one who fell down is also at fault as there was way enough room to avoid her. The latter did 2 mistakes : took the front brake way to hard moreover on wet road and she probably kept looking at the obstacle (teenage girl) instead of looking at where she could go to avoid her. This is a common mistake when driving : never stare at the obstacle but look where you can escape, the bike will follow your sight. It takes some experience to keep calm and be able to do it. Hopefully all can still stand up and walk. Cheers
  9. Hello, Thanks for your answer. Tell me if I'm wrong, you got the permanent custody in the amphur. That could be a first step but I was looking for adoption (that can only be done in BKK). But as you say, maybe it would be best to have a permanent custody at the amphur for the moment and then do the adoption when he is an adult. Would you by chance have the name of the paper for the permanent custody ? We had some temporary done when going abroad but it could be easier if I go to the amphur saying "I need this kor Ror or whatever it is" so they get I know what I'm talking about. We did the temporary 3 times and they always tell us "beware it's only valid 6 months". I've tried to make it differently but they played the "not possible" route. Thanks anyway for your input, Cheers
  10. Hello, My son isn't my son, it's my wife's half sister son (welcome to easy thai families ;)). He is 12 years old and has been with us since his birth. He wants to be "officially" part of the family (emotionally he is already). We have visited 2 times the adoption center in BKK already. I feel like I would need help from a lawyer to help us going through the process or suggest another solution. I want his "official" status to change so he feels better, can travel with us without hassle and inheritance too. Does someone have a recommendation for a good lawyer specialized in that matter ? Thanks in advance
  11. I'm not asking if busy or not. Last year it was convinient to arrive at immigration 5 minutes before the appointment time and get served right away. I appreciate not losing my time and mostly at immigration offices.
  12. Hello, Tried to book an appointment for my yearly extension. I found with difficulties the page for online appointments on immigration website but Prachuap Khiri Khan is not listed. There is just about all provinces but not PKK. Is it me or they just got out of the online booking system ? Edit : added website link and printscreen of link Website : https://www.immigration.go.th/
  13. It's not the survey that's biased or whatever, it's Thai education system. Stop with "army" learning (all by heart and no critical thinking - the teacher is always right) and start teaching kids how to learn, how to think by themselves and be critical. But it will take a couple generations to change as today's teachers aren't capable of critical thinking themselves. Once achieved, the goverment will have to secure their a.... (or do a proper governing job) as population might start a revolution.
