  1. True that when you've had 1.5m of mudd water in your house, the first thing you want is wifi access. 8 boats for 7 provinces, one by province ? If any usefull, what is the range of the boat for providing provisional communication ? By the way, the celular network went down when the floods occured ? I was in constant contact with my friends in CM when it happened 2 weeks ago. Again some bling bling communication to show how the powers take care of people. In real it's just some nonsense useless move. Bet that in 1 year those boats are roting in some governement storage. But the ceremony was nice. Going back to my coffee
  2. I drive from Chiang Mai to Prachuap 3-4 times a year... A friend does it maybe 20 times... Want to make some news ?
  3. You probably know it already but if not it might interest you : japanses weather radar
  4. Hello, Any updates here ? Going to renew it today or this week in Pranburi. I'll update info once done.
  5. Good move, keep it going (and aim higher if you feel like it) 😉 You also can start looking at hotels and shops with not a single customer and still running fine. Trend looks like it's laundromat now for money laundering (seen a couple open over the lasts months). Fighting coruption will make foreigners happier when paying taxes 😁
  6. Wonder if these people called netizens had a worse emotional stress when reading the story of the abandoned new born baby a few days ago ?
  7. One could think that as he must have tried many "toys", he should know the 2 necessary questions : 1) Can I drive it ? and 2) Where are the brakes ?
  8. Excellent news. Now have TAT make a marketing campaingn in Israel with this extrodinary new feature (and it's name of course). It will be very successful !
  9. Good news. Whatever means were used to get acquitted, it's good it doesn't create a case law (in case he would have been charged, sentenced, deported...). For all expats living here it's a good thing as if he would have been charged, we would have had to fear each time you hurt a Local. I'm not saying what he did is any good or that it's good to hurt/hit a local, but I was quite scared of it creating a case law. I have those videos in mind of Chinese jumping on/under cars or other busses etc for getting compensation for being run over (google chinese throwing porcelain or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v11FIrJi720). Even that the roads are dangerous here, happy not to see people on the side of the road waiting for some wealthy driver to jump under the car. It's always better to speak rather than hit in all cases but if you lose it, it sounds kind of crazy to lose you whole life just for a punch or kick. There were my 2 cents, have a great coffee
  10. AAAaaaaah, saved.... Was reading with apprehension as never was it stated that Thailand would be the hub of gaming... Last sentence saved my day ! We are safe !
  11. Legally 15% per annum Loan sharks : 20% per month equals 20x12 = 240% per annum Yeah, not that much more 5555
  12. It was also reported that with little adaptations, the terminals will be able to accommodate cruise ship passengers when needed 😜👍😁
  13. Wasn't the government willing to make Thailand as the hub of aircraft maintenance ? Well well, some work and education will need to be done... Should better stick as the hub of no brainers !
  14. PM has probably never learned diplomacy. But if he has balls (I know all is surgery possible here but still should have some), he should express his thinking when sitting at the next negotiation table with the USA regarding the F-16. I'm sure it will make negotiations easier !
  15. Good for Thailand, hope he gets the gold. What is sad is that sports, like other fields in this country, are controlled. I take something I know, MTB races, all winners are either Police or Army. Why, because they have the support (and time) to train. It's not like in other countries where you have a federation and they will help the better athletes to become better, compete internationally and surpass themselves in the Olympics. I'm sure there are many "good to become" athletes in this country but they'll never have a chance to show it as there is no infrastructure, management, coaching for "normal" athletes... Unless daddy pays but that again, is not a solution to have top world class athletes. Maybe it will come when the government will not know what to do with the load of money they are going to make with the "landbridge" 😉
