Assertions were made. But really, expecting "evidence" to be presented during a Presidential speech in front of 250,000 people is..well, moronic at best.
Let us not forget Ol'Joe, where he was kept awake for 7.5 mins to deliver a very inspiring and coherent address to the nation that received praise from all of the media...according to the media.
"Fact-Checkers"...yes, thank you for protecting us from free-speech, diversified perspectives and our own thinking.
Never making a single mistake in knowing what the "facts" are.
Also, a 100% accuracy rate in pointing out other peoples mistakes.
That literally makes you perfect, and if we didn't know any better we'd think that is too good to be true.
Therefore, those who are trying to control the narrative, control the fact-checkers who are helping to control the narrative. But because this isn't public knowledge, Joe- public doesn't have knowledge of it...because he's too stupid.
.....Nearly all MSM have been waging a 'war of narrative' over the last 4yrs that have over turned a once trusted news source into a grotesquery of journalism.
I don't have time, AT ALL for publications such as NY Times or the Wa-PO. The political-bias they portend to conceal is clear as dog balls.

Trump incited sedition. Lock him up, along with any of the "protestors" that can be identified and arrested. They soiled democracy.
IMO it was the brazen nature of the mob that caught the police off guard. Events moved too fast for them
Get your facts straight. Trump said no such thing that even comes close to "sedition".
Interestingly, there are eye-witness accounts of the barricades to the Capital Building being removed by security/police and allowing a bum-rush of agitators into the halls.

What about those who can't afford a smartphone and/or do not know how to use them? Does the government supply free phones now, or offer classes, how to use them?
A very large swath of the rural farming communities are still in the analog-age. They often miss out on Government hand-outs being distributed via smartphone apps.
The same people pushing for a "cashless-society" are equally out of touch with the human geography of the country.

Of the 120 fines issued , how many I wonder will actually pay up , I would guess if they achieve double figures they will be lucky.
The only way to ensure payment is to march them of to an ATM under threat of incarceration if they fail to cough up.
Eventually they will link up with the license/registration dept. and make it a no go to renew until fines payed.
Following a likely trajectory... "no have money" - continue driving, no license AND now no insurance...but wearing a helmet! ????

A Thai friend arrived from Canada on an repatriation flight to visit her ill Dad recently. After 9-days in on the 14 day Q her Dad died. The hotel manager considered to "release" her and daughter 1-day early to make the funeral, but the "owner" of the hotel said "no". Heartless <deleted>..I'd trash the room if it were me.

Boy Blues Bar,in Kalare Market is only open for Monday night jam and Fridays.
The whole Night Bazaar area is in a death crawl.
I ended up at Spicy's after midnight (first time in years) and surprisingly the place was packed out.
Santitham is much more alive.

Even though in light of this new update I technically burned my 60-day extension, never the less glad to be up-to-date on my visa. A 6month 'free' ride was good already. Any future renewal or extension of my visa should be less frowned upon.

Yesterday we took a ride out of Chiang Mai to the village of Baan Mai Kam Pong. This is a lovely little tourist resort area north-east of San Kamphaeng famous for its waterfall, charming little village perched on the cliff-sides and nestled in the river valley. It is the locale for 'Flight of the Gibbon.' Despite the fact the zip-line was closed, the village was jammed with tourists exploring the ups and downs (and there are a LOT of ups and downs to this place!) and the streets filled with sight-see'ers busy taking pictures on their phones. All the restaurants were well-filled, and the street-side vendors doing a brisk business selling souvenirs, grilled chicken and pork, and some of the most delicious 'Sai Ua' I've ever tasted! The area at the trail-head to the waterfall was packed with cars, tour vans, and motor bikes, and parking over-flowed along the street at the over-look behind the restaurant at the top of the hill.
...."jammed with tourist"...Mae Kampong ?...wow! it has been way to long then since I last rode up there.
I'll have to do a run up there to see the level of development.
Did you go to 'The Giant'?

If I recall correctly, Margaret Thatcher won an election on the strength of her Falklands war. Looks like Trump is taking a leaf out of her book.
If that's his strategy then China is surely in the crosshairs... I believe the American public has Iraqi-fatigue.Unwise to keep stirring that pot,not to mention just plain hopeless. Leave the country be and let the people sort out the mess Uncle Sam left behind.

They didn't think it through I. e. the foreigners here are helping to support businesses so kicking them out is stupid
Got that right... they are not 'business' minded; looking at the foreigner as a "customer" consuming a product called 'Thailand'. No market brand in the world would deliberately and ceremoniously kunt-kick any portion of their customer base out from there market, under any circumstance. That's business suicide no matter how superior you think your goods n service may be.
The military-minded (Junta) understands and thrives on control, its a very regimented and non-progressive approach to running a country (Myanmar a prime example).

I'm wondering whats in store for those of us holding a non 'o' marriage visa when its time for the 90-day border run...while the borders remain close ? Expecting a localized compromise from Immigration.
I have not seen since March more planes overhead coming into CM .....it must be quite an exodus in progress.

Strange how Immigration works sometimes.
I got my 60-day (same visa as you) arrived at 11am on Friday, there were 5 people waiting in the entire office. Paper work checked(proof of residence didn't apply), the very polite and pleasant IMO went the distance to ask if I will be applying for a 1yr visa after and pointed out in detail all the requirements I needed to meet that. After which I was given a number and was out of there 15min later.
I don't know what the sway is.....could be silly stuff like the color of your shirt or the perceived "quality" of your overall attire/look...who knows! ...having your kid(s) in tow & Thai wife to translate usually helps to open doors.
* UbonJoe's list should include; use BLUE ink on all forms.
