Yesterday I did my 90 day report at Jomtien. The IO checked the date of my retirement visa and said don't forget to show proof of 800k after 3 months from issue date. I told him I was not given a report date slip in my passport and he told me I had signed a form during renewal and it was up to me to work out the date to return with updated bank book. He said failure to do so would result in problems when renewing next year. I think it is better to be on the safe side and go back.

I did mine at Jomtien last week and was Not given a letter to return in 90 days.

My daughter did it with TEFL only and eventually got caught and sacked for not having a degree and was in all sorts of trouble ' DON'T DO IT !!

I also collected my passport yesterday after renewing my extension of stay based on retirement at Jomtien. They did not give me an appointment slip to come back and show my bank balance either.

I now always ensure my income for monthly showing is taken and sent from UK savings rather than waiting for a pension to come here. You only need those days lining up wrong and you could be in real trouble.

I am in the same boat, should have received on 26th December but nothing yet. Last month was also late, phoned UK International Pension Division and told it was late as it went via US bank and it was thanksgiving. I always have problems receiving post in Thailand and worry about not receiving Life Certificate. I recently sent a letter asking if in future the Life Certificate can be emailed to me but I won't hold my breath !

I don't feel secure living here if my account drops below 20 million baht.

100% do not let your dog swim in Mabprachan, it is full of very dangerous weed that your dog will get tangled in. Humans have been caught out by this and drowned.

You  can longer get a letter from UK or US Embassy.

I used Pulse for a while but the 24 hr catch up tv did not suit me. Been using iviewhd+ for over a year and it is brilliant. 7 day catch up, all the latest movies and half the price. Never buffers even on my 30mbps.

Sadly it's a botanical garden and tourist gift shop aimed at Chinese. Parking for 32 coaches. Nothing for us expats living nearby and to make matters worse they are now putting a huge wall around it and charging entrance fee ??

Same here. Actually fed up with their service and switching to iviewhd+. No buffering, 7 day catch up and half the price. I ran the 2 services together for 1 month and in my opinion iview is far superior.

That has now changed. 7 days before and 7 days after. Take a look at immigration website.

Anyone experiencing problems logging on to Pulse ? Yesterday and today I keep trying and usually takes 5 or 6 attempts before loading even though internet is strong.

I have been trying Pulse and iview hd+ since Thai expat ended. I find Pulse freezes and buffers whereas iview does not. Also iviewhd+ has a 7 day catch up as opposed to 24hrs on Pulse. Only gripe I have with iview is that you cannot pause playback on TV even though you can pause playback on the films.

I am also using the Expat Minix box, Pulse said that was ok and originally never got a remote from Expat/365 as a wireless mouse was all I needed.Now with Pulse the audio is low and I dont seem to be able to correct it going to Minix settings. I would like to get a Minix remote  but tracking down the Minix NEO X6 remote to buy is proving difficult.

I am using Pulse on a Minix box and last week my volume was down. I contacted Pulse on live chat on their website and they guided me through it. You have to go to Minix Settings, then advanced and you will find volume. Click on it and slide to maximum. Not sure why my volume was down as I had not touched it but it worked. P.S. I only use a mouse for Pulse TV. I am trying out IPTV thailand tv at the moment and for that you need a remote which compared to mouse is a bit complicated for me. You can purchase this air mouse remote from IPTVthailand for 500 baht.

I paid last week by Visa Credit Card on their website when ordering subscriptiin. I think you can also use debit card.

I don't understand about thaiexpat etc either. Took me a few days to get used to Pulse but now ok. Downside for me is I miss expats 10 day catch up but I suppose beggars can't be chosers !
