Trump didnt go to Pakistan or India to calm the waters he threatened Tarrifs on them if they carried on. If you think he should be given a Nobel prize for that then Kennedy should have had 1 for preventing the Cuban missile crisis.

He didn't prevent the Cuban Misdile Crisis.

This is the difference between 80 IQ and 130 IQ.

No one is this stupid - oh, wait

It's lower because of global oil prices, it's an external cause. Food inflation is already higher.

As you probably know, businesses have imported and stored products before tariffs apply. Goods sold are still mainly from those stocks. Unless they are perishable products such as fruits. Another point is that there has been so much TACOs that some products have not been taxed, or taxed at a lower rate than initially announced. The effect will be felt this summer after goods stored are sold out.

So inflation is lower but it's not lower?

Is that really your argument because no one can be that stupid?

Now - if you said "I expect inflation to increase later this year as the tariffs take effect" - that wouldn't be stupid. That would be a fair call and we'd need to wait and see.

Aha - unable to answer the simple question. Then spitting the dummy out like a frustrated toddler.

The basic premise of the thread - TACO - is childish.

When challenged to name one counrty that has had it's tariff status restored to Biden era trade arrangements - you can't.

    Utterly pathetic, woeful and childish.

In fact, you’re the one proving my point.
Those 197 “signed trade deals” only exist in your alternate reality —
unless you’ve got evidence of the receipts.

Logic isn’t your strong suit — off-topic, red herring, classic bait and switch.

Lets make this easy for you.

Name the country which Trump tariffed, and as of today, is tariff free.  Just one.

    Then tell me about "TACO"

The only problem being that the dumb SOB had no idea how tariffs work and how they would affect (and cost) the average American consumer.

Then he announced a tariff on an island inhabited by penguins, and stalled on some tariffs and not on others, and he rightly deserves the TACO label, although I think more fitting would be the dumbo knows not what he is doing!

"The overwhelming view is that while the tariffs might reduce the goods deficit between the US and individual countries, they will not reduce the overall deficit between the US and rest of the world".

    AND.....
Thomas Sampson of the London School of Economics said: "The formula is reverse engineered to rationalise charging tariffs on countries with which the US has a trade deficit. There is no economic rationale for doing this and it will cost the global economy dearly."

    Inflation is around 2.4%

You're just making up things in your head.

  6. Trump has been nominated by several entities including Pakistan who say he prevented an all-out war with India.

The Nobel committee knows they made a mistake giving the prize to Obama. As far as I'm concerned he only got the prize because the committee members wanted to meet him.

On the other hand, left to the committee, Trump will never receive the Nobel Peace prize.

However, again - there's talk of Lebanon and Syria recognising Israels right to exist under Trump's Abraham Accords.  Any fair minded person knows that would be a monumental achievement in Middle East politics. There's also rumours of Saudi Arabia joining the Accord.

If that happens and the Nobel committee doesn't give the prize to Trump, the prize will forever be deemed worthless.

So if you get arrested and deported from Thailand it’s ok for the Thais to deport you to……how’s About San Salvador straight to that super max??that’s ok??

This is what happens when people try to get smart on the Internet. They fire out witless comments dressed as "insightful commentary."

Let me help you with your nonsensical scenario. So Russia could drop 500 soldiers at Tijuana, and after they cross into the USA, they could refuse to accept their deportation back to Russia.

The end result would be 500 Eussian military men wandering around the USA that can't be deported - correct?

Yes, I confess I take great joy in rapists and murderers being deported.

It's also interesting that you allowed that thought to escape your mind.

Do you not want rapists and murderers deported?

Getting pathetic now. Just another witless and worthless post from a growling geriatric.

Put your hands up, Youre clueless and you had no idea that recalcitrant coutries  ( big word, google it ) set out to prevent deportations.

Two minutes of research would have saved you the embarrassment of posting that sanctimonious drivel.

Any and all deportations should only be to country of citizenship. I have no sympathies for any non citizens, who breach the law, incliding visa conditions, in a host country, being shunted back to where they came from, after due process.

To press-gang people on the streets and send them, without any legal ot humane considerations,  permanently to gulags in unrelated, corrupt countries where palms have been greaced, is criminalin  itself and the tactic of a failed state on the verge of dictatorship.

To take delight in the  fate, potentially murder, of the victims showcases how far down many people in the once great country of USA have fallen, There is no longer any pretense of belief in the professed freedom amd democracy by these relgious radicals who are little different to the hand chopping, throat slitting counterparts in other parts of a corrupt

    world.

To ask a MAGA dementor who is the biggest enemy of their version of America would not elicite the expected answers. Instead they would cite undocumented workers who slave away in the menial tasks that keep the country fed and running, and of course Biden's woke Lefties.

Another country, once looked up to by all others in the free world, dragged into the gutter by religious fanatisism and ignorance..

Rank stupidity. Many countries, including China, refuse to accept their citizens back. That includes non-criminal citizens.

You're st there without frog chest puffed out and blurted this drivel, wrapping yourself in a golden cloak of sanctimony

It never occurred to you that you are proposing zero deportation for rapists and murderers if the home country refuses entry.

Think before you post - seriously. And get off your throne of utter ignorance

There's no realistic chance of him being impeached but someone should raise a disbarring action against him. He doesn't need his lawyers licence to be a judge but the embarrassment of disbarrment and the hearing involved would be painful for him.

Most of what you say is true or actually occurring.  However, China's debt is roughly 1/3 of what you claim or $16.65 trillion.  Things don't look good for Xi and IMO his days are numbered.

    AI Overview

    +2

China's total debt is substantial, exceeding $50 trillion, with a significant portion owed by local governments and corporations. The national debt is estimated at 16.65 trillion U.S. dollars in 2024, with projections indicating a continued upward trend. This debt represents a large percentage of China's GDP, with local government debt in particular raising concerns about potential financial instability.

It's a possible explanations. There may be other explanations.

"However, much of the speculation about Xi’s political misfortunes relies on unsubstantiated rumors or glaring ignorance of context. In some cases, a cursory look at the so-called “signs” reveals them to be entirely normal occurrences. In other cases, there are simpler and more convincing explanations for developments regarded as unusual. This article addresses some of the oft-repeated and less speculative arguments and evidence brought up by those who buy into the Xi “losing power” narrative."

Outside he is "nearly dead" there is no explanation.
