Female sex workers seem to have a chance to finally escape working the beat and settle with a farang into old age. Where as Kateoys, tell me if I am wrong I haven't seen any yet that have settled down with a partner.

I wonder if there nature would suit settling down, if all the yaba life style would allow it. Not to say that female pros don't do yaba.

As a school teacher of primary school teachers in Pattaya, I know that people don't become Kateoys because of drugs. It is just an accepted part of their culture that if a boy starts to hang out with all the girls instead of the other boys he starts becoming more feminine.

Even at 10 years old I am suprised that other kids bully these more feminine boys. I try my hardest to step in and stop it. The bullying that is, but it is quite obvious that boy in question and everyone around them is aware that they will most probably change gender as soon as they can.

I hope that more will take the safe sex message ALWAYS to heart because these boys are still human, and I see the "boy" / child in everyone of the Katoeys walking working around town.

The thing I like about Pattaya is the opened mindedness, the thing I hate about farangs is their close mindedness.

If you are going to do a documentary about something serious than you can not expect a real brain to believe this with so much drama added to the tv show.

In the last year and half I have never seen soap in the dispensers in the toilets at my primary school till today.

I teach at Pattaya Aksorn and hope to hell it doesn't hit our school up here.

Yes there is a problem. My wife went looking for jobs and she kept getting the same reasons for not employing her.

The would look at her surname and say oh you have a farang husband, you won't stay working here long, and you probably won't work hard enough, or care about losing your job.

Prior to getting married she found a job easily.

She had all sorts of problems with her previous bank accounts too, even though everything had to be cleared properly for the marriage and passport she was again asked to bring all documents to prove her name.

It's a ridiculous joke.

It is amazing that this topic is almost like the most heart felt out of so many we read of deaths, murders and mysteries etc.

There is a simple bottom line.

Stocks of water are mostly gone in most places in Pattaya, I'm wondering how much water to stock - since I think boiled tap water in Pattaya is mostly safe.

Have noticed prices for things have gone up a bit to here at the local for other things too - such as beer.

It is amazing that what I thought was a flood in Brisbane and then what I thought was a flood in Pattaya was nothing compared to what is happening in Bangkok.

Alright thanks for that I ended up buying a bmx from SV for 6000 baht with helmet, lock and flashing lights, and those extensions at the axel you can stand on or double people with. Pattaya has suddenly become much smaller although I have gained a bit more paranoia about where I can go and park my bike while I go inside and eat or whatever.

Funny thing was I was just about to ride off on my new bike and the dood did the back tyre a bit more and exploded it - almost burst my ear drum it was so loud. He promptly fixed it and off I went.

Supposedly it is free to go back and get the bike tuned up again...

I live near tony's and would say that is convenient but the table quality and space is pretty bad for play.

I am still getting my way around this site finding things is bit hard I didnt even know i had follow up comments, a shame.
