maidu

Maidu name is used because it's the name of an indiginous Indian tribe from the coast and inland areas of California, where I'm from. They were a peaceful people, whose main source of nutrition was fish and acorns. Ishi was the last Maidu living in the wild. Look him up, his is a great little story.
