  1. I play Destiny but on PS4. I more toward PVP than PVE.

    Can add me PSN: Mikelanding

Will do mate,I really got into it for a while I am now level 40 and 260 light. I was loving it for a week or so but now find it a bit frustrating progess has right slowdown for me these are some of the problems I have

I am not getting any legendary marks for the Crucible matches. I think because I am coming last all the time because my light is not good enough, but I need legendary marks to get more light

No matchmaking for the raids I now understand why this is but it still don't help me I haven't done any yet

When I Start a strike most times I miss the beginning or I am at the beginning by myself

The patrols are boring and you can run about for ages looking for the right dudes to shoot

And it's just a complicated game with no

    guide

A community who don't like new people

Because of all this I found myself getting frustrated and stop playing it, I found a second hand copy of borderlands the handsome collection which I wanted anyway, and I am really loveing that which is a simple and fun game to get into. I have read it will take me over 200 hours to do everything. A bargain for 800TH then I will sell it for 600THB when I am finished with it so 200THB for about 200 hours of entertainment

There are websites where you can go an find people to form a fireteam, The problem is that they all want people whose Guardian is 320+ light level and various other requirements. To get better weapons you need legendary marks which you get by completing Crucible matches, Heroic Strikes and other PvP activities

This is the part of the game that sucks

Destiny is a game to best play with friends or clan mates. It is a bit dry now after the April Updates. I also less play now and just doing normal Crucible and participate in Iron Banner event.

Yes. At 260ish light level. It is hard to up the Light level. Fastest way to up light level is joining raid. But even me now also don't do raid because my light level already max out and not many clan mate are active playing Destiny. They play other games while wait for new DLC (Rise of Iron) schedule to come out on Mid September.

Next best way to up light level is Iron Banner (at least for me), But U need to be at least 300ish light level. Because light level matter in Iron Banner and Trial of Osiris.

For legendary mark, There are weekly crucible game (first icon on Map UI) and daily crucible (2nd icon). U can earn +10 marks x 3 for each week on weekly crucible. You or your team do need to win to earn mark. For rumble match, U need to be top 3 to earn mark. 1 time only each day on daily crucible. You can also earn +15 marks from Daily Heroic Story (soloable if you high light level like 320ish ), U can also earn marks 3x Weekly Heroic Vanguard Strikes (10 marks each strike U completed).

If you like some1 to play with either on Destiny or other games. My clan are still recruiting. We are a Malaysian clan with 90+ members playing on various PS4 games. Currently we had people playing Destiny, Overwatch, The Division and other group base game. Members are active from 6pm till 12am every days.

Let me know if you Interested to join. We do help new members on raid from time to time voluntarily basis.

  2. I've been getting the bank letter from SCB here in Chiangmai for Immigration for years and have never had a problem having them understand what I've wanted. Just tell them you want the bank letter for Immigration - they'll very likely immediately understand what you want (they have a template form on their machine).

One weird thing, though, is I can only get that bank letter from the branch where I opened the account (the other branches won't do it for me). They also (like other banks, I'm told) charge about 200 baht for issuing the letter.

That is true. I only get the letter from the bank that I put my 400K Fix deposit.

Official in Bangkok Bank at HangDong branch are very friendly and helpful. I have no problem getting what I need for visa extension. They don't charge me either.

  3. Just submit my marriage visa extension application yesterday. FYI, Mine expired on 30 June 2016.

  4. Hello, anybody got AIS fiber ? How is it compared to standard ADSL where you live ? At least not worst than adsl ?

How possible that they connect this fiber to your existing wall socket ? It means that fiber go through copper wire before the router?

    Thank you.

I just got AIS Fibre 30Mbs/10Mbs. The speed tests show that I am getting at least the speeds stated.

However, torrent downloads are very slow. Before with 3BB 15mbs/1Mbs I could get speeds up to 1MBs but with the faster optic fiber I can only get around 400KBs. Perhaps there are settings I need to change.

Direct downloads seem to range between 1 and 1.4 MBs which is also a little disappointing.

Just to check. Is your torrent download situation improve? I also interested to move from ToT fiber to this. Need your feedback

  5. Never had problem with Hang Dong Post Office for past 3 years and even recently. Had few packages from iherb.com, many from aliexpress.com and local package. All delivered without problem.

1 tip: Get to know your postman and treat them cold drink or 2 in hot sunny day will goes a long way. We alway buy cold drinks to our postman or security guards. Not as bribe but as a token of appreciation to their hardwork.

  6. I using Brother MFC-J415 now for couple years. It got app/software for both OSX and iOS. Print speed is good but color printer quality is not as good as Canon. If you mainly print B/W document then is ok.

Bonus point is: 3rd party ink cartridge are more easy to use compare to other brand like HP, Canon. Not involved any hacking or modification on Print head.

  7. I had ordered a 27" monitor from Korea via Ebay before. Tax around 1500 baht. Still well worth overall.

I also had an Dell U2713HM too. Connectivity wise. Dell won without doubt.

But compare side by side, The Korea IPS won on Clarity, Color and Contrast. Text appeared sharper.

The anti-glare coating on Dell (even had reduces much compare to my U2412M) still somehow make it worse than Korea IPS.

  8. For those who interested to buy Hatari Air Purifier, you can save 10% by purchase from Lazada.co.th. It listed as 4888baht now. To enjoy the 10% discount, just purchase on Monday AND use Master credit card. Free delivery across Thailand.

I purchased a Air Humidifier from them not long ago. Delivery is within 2 business days.

  9. I had to admit I am sucker for latest and greatest tech in computer. But that is when I decided to purchase a new PC system. Once done, I expect the new pc to last at least 3-5 year without any major upgrade. I setup my own desktop from scratch. Been doing this since my first desktop PC.

My last computer is a Hackintosh (PC hardware run OSX). Yes. I am a Apple fanboy. But I still think iMac is too expensive and rigid in term of customization for geek like me. Therefore the Hackintosh.

When I started build my hackintosh, I picked some of the top tier hardware. i3770, Samsung 830 SSD, Ati6870 (Not top tier but most compatible at that time), Gigabyte Z77P-D3 (not top tier but most compatible (Audio/LAN) for hackintosh), I brought a Korean 27" Monitor and later another Dell 27" monitor, 650Watt PSU, 16GB ram (yea. too much but I'm multitasking freak with 3 browsers,15-20 tabs each, many apps opened and do occasionally ran out of RAM!) and other peripherals.

Why the choose spec? Mainly is most compatible with Hackintosh. Plus, I do dual booting to Windows7 for gaming. I prefer to do my work my work on desktop rather than on my Macbook Pro 13" because of Dual monitor setup.

With this setup, it can at least last 3-4 years. Maybe just upgrade some part down the path. Dont expect to have major change till next big upgrade.

If you are not gaming, Photoshop, video editing, an i3 or i5 dual core are more than sufficient to last you good 3-5 years. 2 important component that you want to upgrade is 1st RAM, get at least 8gb since it is cheap now. 2nd is SSD. You will notice the big different in term of loading time, system responsiveness, large file transfer and multitasking. SSD price had been every decrease. If you hate your current system loading time or lagginess. Get a SSD, immediately you can feel the different.

Dual vs Quad. If you multitask a lot. Quad is better. Can handle multiple load better. Normal browsing, emailing, some wordprocessing, dual is enough.

Moose Law had not play significantly on latest CPU development now. Latest Intel Haswell emphasized on power efficiency. Meaning doing the same task with lesser power. With Haswell energy efficiency, it enable many portable device to last up to 12 hours of "All Day Computing" for example Apple's Macbook Air, Lenovo Tablets/laptop, Asus transformer tablet and etc. "All day Computing" might not be useful for me or most of us who most of time station at 1 place. But for other that work in the field, on the site, biz traveller, it is a godsend feature for them.

  10. Sharing my experience on this topic.

I recently had a new replacement Credit card sent by HSBC (Malaysia) to me here. It was normal mail. Took around 2+weeks.

Old card expired, so cancel and blocked. The new CC need to be activate in order to use it.

Also have many parcel from US to here, as long as you using USPS or normal Airmail should be less chances to get tax. DHL, Fedex, UPS will get tax for sure.

  11. Ya. Intel NUC with mSata is not budget solution for 1080p media streaming.

For Rasphberry pi, mine is the latest version. 512mb ram. But still Like muratremix said, UI slow. CPU also close or above 90% on Rasphmc or openElec. My LAN is good. Gigabit LAN from Asus RT-AC66 router with Dlink gigabit switch. It will stream ok for a while.. Then start to lag out toward mid or end of movie.

Guess I will overkill by using MBP 2011 on 1080p streaming.

By the way, those with Mac. Latest OSX Marverick had improved Multiple screen. If you have AppleTV connected to TV. It will act as 2nd screen instantly without cable. Cool!

I Airplay 1080p movie to my AppleTV, Quality is no bad. But still cant beat the hardwire connection.

  12. A search on ebay shown that is is around 1500 or less for compatible/OEM. Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-6cell-Battery-fit-Apple-MacBook-Pro-13-MB990-A-MB990CH-A-020-6764-A-A1322-/400508479720?pt=AU_Laptop_Accessories&hash=item5d402a68e8

I not sure what model or year made your MBP13. But I had open up my MBP13 (early 2011) before. Changing the batter is not that difficult. The screws used that hold the casing can be open by normally Philip screw driver.

  13. I just did my 1 year Marriage Visa extension today.

Reach around 7.25am, already a long Q with 49 peoples in front. Got the no. 50. Next number is counter 415. The lady officer who incharge asked us to come back around 1.30pm. Wondering around town. Went B-qick for routine 5K car service, while having breakfast at nearby noodle shop. 20 mins later, collect car and went to KSK for relaxing foot massaging. More wondering in the mall.

Came back to immigration office around 1.15pm. Wait till around 2.30pm for my turn. 15 mins later. I got the temporary Visa. Have to come back again on 31 July to get a 1 year stamp. Taking longer than what I did last year.

"Meanwhile, while I waited, I saw one unfortunate (marriage extension(?)) get turfed out because he hadn't made a recent 'transaction' on his bank statement - a word of warning if you're due a visit, seems they're strictly enforcing this. So if retirement/marriage extension is your thing, make sure you do a deposit or withdrawal and get a fresh statement."

I do have this issue too. But was lucky that the officer asked us to get the bank to acknowledge my latest balance is as per my book bank. I going to get the doc prepare and submit tomorrow morning.

This isn't something new. For retirement extension based on deposit you need a letter from the bank a day before, which tallies with the amount in your passbook. The money in that account is then put 'on hold' for 24 hours. You need to make sure that you have had the amount of money required in the account for at least three months before doing the extension or two months if it is a new application. There is no rule that I know of that requires you to make a deposit or a withdrawal from that account.

Let me explained more on my situation about the Money. My problem is I put my money on a Fix deposit since few months ago. The Book bank date was old date. It was never been updated since it first deposit.

I do have a letter from Bank dated 1 day before my trip to Immigration office. But, seem like it is insufficient to this office.

Anyhow, passed the necessary documents to this office this morning. All sorted out. :)
