I completed a 90 day report online last week and received an email to say that it had been approved.
Is the form with my details and the 'APPROVED' stamp in the right hand corner the official receipt?

So...... it is a year later. I enjoy shopping at Ruamchok. It is a welcome change from the same old same old Tesco/Big C, boring Tops and predictable Rimping. It's never crowded, they stock interesting products, staff are very helpful, parking is easy and the fresh market at the back is great.
Shopped there again this morning. There are bargains to be had now. They are discounting 10-50% off all stock. The reason for this is that 'we are preparing to welcome Tops'. I am a bit disappointed as I am not a huge fan of Tops. The Airport Plaza branch, for example, is not even worth going to unless you are in the market for overpriced crispy pork skin and dried durian.
BTW..... for Starbucks lovers ---- A big banner at the entrance is advertising "Starbucks Drive Thru coming soon".

OP, I think you would fit in better in South Africa;
- English.
- High standard of living.
- Many places to get a regular dreadlock service.
- Blend in better.
- Can easily buy fashionable clothes in sizes for big and tall.
- They idolise Americans.

I have seen them at the big education mall on the road to Sankampaeng. On the second level where all the other scientific stuff is displayed.

Don't worry folks! Eye, ear, throat and skin infections are just like the green water: .............all just 'natural phenomena'.

Had a fairly comprehensive service (oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter changed), brake pads checked for wear and a new battery installed in my Pajero a few days ago.
Extremely efficient service and very well priced.
I fully recommend this shop for any vehicle servicing.

Closest to you is probably Nong Hoi market on route 106 just down from the Holiday Inn, or the market at Chiang Mai gate.

Vdara Resort should meet all your expectations.

I don't think Thailand is for you OP. Best stay away.
Why because she has hurt the feelings of a few lilley whites on here ? One of which doesnt even live in Thailand
Funny how TV members can slag off the Thai's but some one starts calling the high and mighty farangs they start getting all upset LOL pathetic
No…. because I don't want the OP to suffer fury induced cardiac arrest when she gets here. Sleaze and all those unsavoury things she mentioned are, unfortunately, all over Thailand. Anyway, that doesn't matter now since her original inflammatory post has been edited. So welcome to Thailand gap year girl from Singapore. Hope you have a great time.

Another option would be to watch Interstellar at Maya, SF Cinema and safe the costs for the songtaew...
That's what I did on Sunday. I paid 100 B to see it at the Maya. The movie was a big yawn for me. Seeing it in Imax wouldn't have made it any better. I should have listened to the The Wall Street Journal, they rated it 40% on Metacritic..."The last thing I expected was a space adventure burdened by turgid discussions of abstruse physics, a wavering tone, visual effects of variable quality..."
Yeah it really has some snotty reviews. As much as I like Mathew M. ( and he is suppose to be excellent in this roll) , the rest of the flick sounds like a canidate for a rotten tomatoe!
The first 1.5 hours were very enjoyable.

How shops and restaurants leave all their outside tables, chairs and pot plants on the sidewalk overnight and it's all still there in the morning.
How quick nature can invade your living space. One week away and there are squirrels in the ceiling, birds nesting in the verandah ceiling fans, scorpions under the washing machine; plus you need a machete to hack a path through the grass to get to the front door.
Also, as other posters have mentioned, how important appearances are.

Nope - sorry to say. Can't get them here. I searched high and low a few years ago. That's why I brought one with me on my last trip to Aus.
Broom sellers here sell brightly coloured plastic brooms with a telescopic type handle that can reach high ceilings. The broom head has a single row of bristles only and the bristles are not quite as soft as the ones on the cobweb broom. That's the closest you are going to get I think.

Dii (or "Dee") Laai Thai Massage
dii = good
laai = many
Saying it quickly almost sounds like Delight Thai Massage
Good luck!

A question to the OP - do you nod/smile/speak to all foreigners: those of different race to farang? I mean Africans/Japanese/Burmese/Mongolian/Eskimo/Aboriginal or whatever. Do you nod and smile at Thais the same as farang? Do you feel the same disdain if any of them ignore you, if so why?
Also keen to hear the answer to this one.

I agree with the OP. The ones I have bought have a slight sweet taste to them and the flesh is almost yellow in colour.
My guess is they are the "Yukon Gold" variety.

If you get the ticket stamped by the Curve business you patronise there is no charge for the parking.

Thai people are just way too polite to show their aversion. A quick loud warning toot from your horn does wonders. I don't mean we have to turn the place into Ho Chi Minh City but when they cause an obstruction let them know, otherwise they remain clueless.
