Anyone know how much it is?

Great thanks, been there a lot but never took any notice of this thing before.

Does the CM airport have that plastic luggage wrap service?

I am looking at putting my excess baggage through Thai Air Cargo but I want to insure my goods. Does anyone know how I can do this?

I am in the exact same situation at the moment so have been trying to research on this. I am happy to share what we find as we go. We contacted an Australian agent and while each may differ, they explained that we get 5 days free storage, excluding weekends. There is a fee for transporting the goods from the airport to the warehouse $82, then you have to be there for customs and if they want to inspect your stuff its $102 and goes from there as to what customs need to charge you after that. Then its your problem to get it to your house.
We also found that Thai Air Cargo has a good rate for freight.
Our problem at the moment is sourcing packaging for our goods and sorting out insurance.
I hope we are going down the right track with all this.

I agree - what can we be doing personally on a daily basis to try and get through this?

What costs did you have on the other end in Oz if there were no duties?
Do the companies down in BanTawai pack everything properly for you - do you just turn up with a car/truck load of all your stuff you want to send...? Sorry, I don't get how this all works?

anyone have an address or better still directions on how to get to Nop Phu Pha strawberry Farm?

Hot water bottles available at Pharmacies. I got one for about 300B ages ago. Hasn't ever leaked.

So when will it warm up?

Central and Robinsons are your only options and the prices are the same as Western prices, if not more.

This seems like a really round-about or expensive way to get to Lanta.

It is Children's Day on Saturday, anyone heard of what events are happening around CM city on Saturday?

I am having trouble finding information on how to get the minibus from Krabi Airport to Koh Lanta. Most sites say to ask your hotel to book you a seat as it is always fully booked, cost quoted varies from 250-350B per person. My hotel will only offer an over priced private transfer (3000B!!!). I have also read that you need to get into town to Soi 6 to get the minibus which leaves every hour. Is there anyway of catching one directly from the airport? Do I need to call and book seats or do they stop at a bay at the airport on a regular basis?

Are the public mini buses just waiting at the airport with the taxi's?
My hotel has quoted 3000B for a private transfer which is ridiculous!
We don't land until 11:45 so we miss the passenger ferry. I am wondering if we can just arrive at the airport and choose between the taxi (<=2000B as people above have said) or a public mini bus (350B per person) without any reservations.

I like it, much more modern.

What time is the Le Meridien brunch?

Rimping has Christmas stock and so does Robinson's.

I'm on the look out for 2 year old toys and am in the same situation with price/quality so would be interested in what anyone has to say and will let you know if I find anything. Most people I have spoken to say it is best to shop online but I find that the delivery costs are huge.

With Christmas on the way I am bumping this up the list ...

I'll be watching this closely as I would love to go see them too.
You say you are watching for when they are in peak and then going, how long does the 'peak' last?

Anyone recommend somewhere in Chiang Mai?

The critical 5.25 is for Bridge City Pier.
Bridge Tha Nang, Muang, Lamphun.

Nawarat is only 3.41 on the readings. And looking at the actual river now and it looks like 3.41.

I haven't seen it for sale anywhere here but there are better options, it's really not very good for your skin.
