"Do Thais Have An Obsession About Overinflated Car Tires?"
That was the subject of the topic. I now have come to the conclusion that some of TV members share this obsession. Now 4 pages and some, or maybe even a lot of postings removed probably due to their under or overinflated nature. (just guessing).
Can anybody tell me if the 4WD in the video has the right tire pressure, that car sure has a lot of members, or should I say inspectors following it to find out. TV came to mind immediately.

Yeah at the end of the day , different people will have different experiences with tyres in their lives and therfore we all have different opinions on what tyre pressures to run in different vehicles for yet again different road conditions and different tyre makes .
-
Here here TA . I follow your train of thought . Shame it is missed on some posters here as usual .

Currently running 29 PSI all round , so far happy with that . No loosing the rear on sand on tar when you boot it . Happy days

As the topic is about tyre pressures. In my opinion yes in this country people do over inflate gyres. Just put a new set of boots on my Vigo . The original Michelin cross Terains were worn out in the middle due to over inflation . I work away for months at a time , so not easy to control pressures when the Missus has the ute.this new set of yokohamas I am going to keep a close eye on the pressures .

So Semper , did you find the problem with your car's starting system yet or not ? If so fill us in on all the details .

K.i.s.s. principal ,,, borrow a battery and see what happens is the easiest and quickest way to prove is it bollo..sed or not . Move on from there if its a good known battery , then check connections , loose terminals etc . If the vehicle is fairly new i.e 3 to 4 years old it is unlikely in my book to be the starter . Hey thats my 2 bobs worth , guess others will argue that course of action , everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I don;t have any with regards driving safely .

I would strongly suggest you have a good read of all the posts on this forum concerning importing vehicles .
General concensus don't try unless you have more money than you can shake a stick at , and are still prepared to lose all , as could happen .
If it was easy we all would import some nice flash sports car .

Thanks for that KBB
Now will have a look and see what I can find in the way of suspension parts.
Cheers.

Can anyone tell what larger size tyres or wheel combinations can I fit to a 2011 Camry. Looking at Toyota site , all models in Thailand have 215 / 60 x 16" tyres . I would like to fit bigger tyres to raise ground clearance a bit . Any first hand experiences with this and sensible advice is appreciated . Yes I have looked at wheel tyre calculators as a guide , but experience is what tells .
Cheers.

One weeks notice and to prepare, I get the feeling that they are not really serious about accepting permanent residents and it is just a token gesture. The Thai olympics, On your marks, get set, oh sorry to late. Why not run a competition? In two (2) words or less explain in detail why you would like to be chosen to become a permanent resident of Thailand.
I guarantee you there will be hundreds and hundreds of people making the deadline. None of those will be people who waste time griping on web boards about something they'll never end up doing.
I like your syle here here , so true .
Cheers.

PF 4x4 on Sukumvit , just past Pattaya Nua if I am not mistaken , he is pretty good and has a selection of stuff and can fit for you . Selection is not what you would find in a 4x4 super store , but good for Pattaya .

Mercedes Benz make a whole range of diesels for buses and trucks v 6's about 210 hp through to v8's up to 600 hp .
All that I have heard , sound real sweet. I have just spent driving a 500 hp v8 merc actros truck , smooooth and very powerful , a delight to drive .

IMHO I would stick to only petrol , or get shot of the vehicle as the headache is obviously not worth it .

Here Here , my sentiments exactly. Before I saw the pictures I was worried the new Camry would look real good , as I have just got a 2011 model . Now I am more than happy with the 2011 model.

I once drove over a road that was broken tar patched up , on the dirt they had sprayed molasses and that left a hell of a mess underneath the car , perhaps it was something like that . New car its unlikely to be brake fluid or a leaking hub seal. Was left with a dirty car sweet smelling but easy to clean so no dramas.
-
Not exactly sure what kind of cleaner the brake cleaner is ,,,,,, a good shop in Pattaya is True Value for that kind of stuff imported from states and europe , not cheap mind you but its here in Pattaya ... Shop is on Thepprasit , Skumvit junction near Tesco on Sukumvit , Happy hunting .

They are doing away with the metalic blue , metalic green , now will have silver as before , silky gold , white, steel black , be interested what that looks like . The interior will still have chunky knobs for A.C. but better than the old ones and the top model navi , but not same as fortuner , that ogcourse has a better line up inside .
Why T. F. Toyota cant give more stuff to really make the interior better is beyond me .

P.F. 4X4 IN Pattaya on Sukumvit highway just south of the macdonalds drive on the left when you drive into Pattay from Chonburi. I have used him and recomend him , for all sorts of car add ons .

OP another reason for using nitrogen in tyres in the mining industry is it is an inert gas , so won't aid combustion of the tyre if it were to catch fire .
