  1. "The eye's are the window to the soul", we've all heard that one before yeah, Well there is some research that go to this, ie truth and untruth, eg

if you asked a question to someone and they looked up and left, they are accessing visually constructed images, (vc) /lie

If you asked a question to someone and they looked up and right they are accessing visually remembered images.(vr)/ truth

now similar for asking about hearing something, eyes left auditory constructed, (ac) or eyes right auditory remembered (ar).

Eyes left and down is a feeling, and eyes right and down is internal dialog, (talking to yourself).

There's more about activating east and west hemisphere of the brain when asking questions, imagined/lie recalled/truth,

But the jury is still out on this but not to difficult make a list of test questions and see how it turns out.

just google it, you'll get the picture.cheersthumbsup.gif

  2. Amazing, The 2010 "crackdown" is now being called a security action, as crackdown is deemed far to strenuous a word, so this fishing industry "crackdown" is latter going to be changed and called an security action also? how about the street food vendors "crackdown"? the government and police corruption "crackdown"? How about using a different word for these things, or just stop playing semantics and spin and call it what it was, and this as it is : token effort and lip service, re-active not pro-active.

  3. I've seen enough from red-shirts, Pheu-Thai and Thaksin to know by now that truth is something best avoided.

Whatever this circus turn up, reds will never accept it. We could have 10 videos of Thaksin himself throwing a grenade at the Army and the posters here would say they are all fake. Then they would proceed to attack the messenger who brought the news.

At the end of the day, Thailands problem is not Thaksin or Abhisit : it is the deplorable lack of ethics of certain people and their greed and jealousy of people who have money. They have this Thai trait of extreme spite against someone 'rich' who will not give them anything and extreme sycophancy to those they think might give them something. I see the same thing in the UK, but as usual Thailand has taken it to the extreme.

At the end of the day, you can't teach what these people haven't got. Whatever the outcome of this enquiry, if it doesn't suit their purpose they will reject it. It's called hypocrisy and we have seen plenty of it already.

"it is the deplorable lack of ethics of certain people and their greed and jealousy of people with money"." They have this Thai trait of extreme spite against someone" "rich".

I'm sure there are some people that are like this, though through my experience not very many Thai's have this proclaimed trait as you call it, but rather very much in the opposite direction, Some of Those with the BMW or Merc, in positions of wealth and power have the distain and contempt of the poor and lower educated and those of a lower social economic background quit often make very public degrading spiteful and disgusting comments of those they see as low-so's, stupid, dirty, buffalo's, and should not be allowed to vote, but I'm having a hard time finding any of these comments on social media, about the elites hi-so's. But ok if you say so it must be truewhistling.gif

  4. OK so if this guy doesn't like the words "crack down", or "use of force", then how about open fire? or fire at will? but I'm sure they wont be ok either.

We asked them to leave, they left on their own, it was just a security tightening.

Strange considering that some think the term "crack down" is not strong enough rather than launch an assault on the protesters?

How about the words, White wash, Sanitized, Deluded, and strait up lies?

Hers an option, find the documents that ordered the (operation, Offensive, Strike, or ones the Americans like is Prosecute) and use them as term of reference? I wonder if they'll ever see the light of day? or they also went conveniently floating off in floods like all the other incriminating evidence?

Waiting for the usual suspects to come in and defend this SPIN, or one could use the word Insult to the dead and injured and their family's.

  5. screen the names, ok screen for why? get ya mates name off the list, saw that one coming a long way off

fake disaster's, now that creative faking a disaster and getting disaster relief cash, Did't see that one at all.

corruption mostly in the north east. That was decided before the list was put together.

Having lived in the N/E, N/W, BKK and in the south, Most of the corruption I have encountered and know of is very much BKK and South, but that's not to say there plenty if it going on in the north.

But hey don't believe me have a look at (Bribespot)

  6. Are you listening to me members?

The EU, will impose a ban on exports from Thailand in 6 months.

I keep saying that over and over again.

Even our PM, has realised that by now.

    Good for him.......he's learning..................

It's the fishing industry that needs to learn something... In seven months time they could all be going broke. They better wake up.

No it's the entire country that needs to learn that if the levels of corruption are sustained then Thailand will loose much more than just the seafood export industry.

Thailand is the third largest exporter of seafood??? dose anyone else see a problem here? when was the last time you went to the seafood market and didn't see under-size crabs and fish? like I said Thailand has a lot more to loose if they don't fix the problem..................

  7. I have a question or 2 for the Suthep supporters.

Did he give the green light to the military to use deadly force on the people?

When was the last time in your country did the Deputy PM with the ok of the PM give the green light to the military to use deadly force on protesters with a similar death toll and it was ok, justified, and no case to answer?,

Is there any equipment, tool, technology out there that is affective in combination that is NON-LEATHLE that could have cleared the protesters over the same time frame?

And lastly Just what is the maximum number of innocent protesters, emergency volunteer's, and journalist's deaths in ok or justifiable to use deadly force to put down the few violent radicals?

Now the challenge for the supporters for the masquerading monk is to answer each of the questions and not deflect, spin, or just BUT BUT BUT the man in Dubai drivel.

  8. I would suggest that lessons/history ignored after so many issues that an elected government be left to govern as the law provides, and stop this merry go round of throwing out governments and coup's, and the problem with the argument, Butt, but they got what they asked for (elections within a year), well why didn't mark see the volatile nature of these murdering MIB and do what a smart politician would do if he cared for the peoples safety and the country and dissolve government and elections with in 60 days as provided by the law.

The situation should not have been let to escalate to that stage, and there is incompetence and accountability for that also, ie dereliction of duty.

as far as people saying the police did nothing to stop them coz mr,T gave orders, what a steaming load that is, Simple if the chief of police refused to do his job, remove him and put in another who will, and the former Chief Of Police would be in gaol for dereliction of duty, would he not? that what a smart PM would do yeah.

It's a very simple Q&A, Did the PM and his deputy give the green light to the military to use live rounds and as a result people died.

So if the muslims in Oz start turning it on because we are fighting their mates and generally disrespecting and oppressing them. start stabbing coppers on Anzac Day and going after anyone in uniform, the right thing for our Tony to do would be to resign and have elections in 60 days?

Really that is your comparison? the two issues are so far apart and have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

so far and away from any valid point that you made cough a little and spit my coffee on the floor,

Have another crack mate I enjoyed the laugh.

What I'm saying is the lessons of the last 80 years of coups and uprisings should have been taken heed of and not let the situation spiral out of control.

  9. Yu'p men in black, they were there absolutely no question.

The question is, were they the ones that started the shooting? if so where they provoked or were they defending themselves?

Were they all there for the redshirts or is it possible SOME were planted there to cause trouble therefor justifying the deadly response? A tactic commonly used!

And after several court rulings that the military were responsible for many deaths.

Was any video evidence of military firing at unarmed protectors shown to the commission? or was it only selected videos shown? We all know the answer to that one.

Any video evidence of the emergency volunteer's in the temple being targeted?

How about the shooting of journalist's? and a certain general shot in the head by a sniper, was that shown?

Australia has had some big protests before but has a habit of NOT calling in the military to shoot and kill people.

So just how is the government of the day NOT responsible for the deaths?

And finally for the record yet again, I have NO support RED or YELLOW for those that use violence on innocent protesters and volunteers to achieve their political will.

But isn't that exactly what was sanctioned by the government on the day? use deadly force.

    "Australia has some big protests"

Did protesters take the city center hostage for months at a time? Restricting movements and checking cars that pass their rally point? I bet not. Were grenades thrown at businesses that supported the opposition? bet not. So what is a government suppose to do when police refuse to move against the protesters, and protesters will not move taking the city hostage? And protesters started rigging their camp site with fireworks and building a fort. Even before the military moved in, UDD stormed the 2009 ASEAM summit meeting scaring away top Asian leaders. Many left the country right away! as if thats not a serious enough offense. Not to mention bashing opposition politicians cars.

When the protesters demands were met, they turned it down. Remember that they ask for new election, Abhisit said ok and new elections would be held in less than a year. Protest leaders turned it down and told protesters to fight instead? Why? Perhaps situation could have been defused if protester leaders accepted it and told everyone to go home.

Even though the military moved in, they were more than patient enough, they were being shot and grenades thrown at without making a move until the last minute when given the order after protesters refuse to disperse.

You can't really compare protesters in the West to Thailand, people and education is so different that its really a no comparison. Its like trying to compare traffic law enforcement in Australia and Thailand.

"Were they all there for the redshirts or is it possible SOME were planted there to cause trouble therefor justifying the deadly response?"

In answereing this question, you should ask yourself who benefited from provoking the military into deadly response.

    "Australia has had some big protests before but has a habit of NOT calling in the military to shoot and kill people."{

I can think of only one instance where protesters had armed men conspicuous in their ranks, in all other cases it was understood that "peaceful protest" excludes weaponry. Do you remember what happened at the Eureka Stockade?

"In answering this question, you should ask yourself who benefited from provoking the military into deadly response."

You've not really given your answer but rather posed a separate question, so ok I'll give an opinion, (not stating or claiming as fact.)

The government had quite a lot to gain by provoking a deadly response, ie, an end to protesting and keeping themselves in a government that was not chosen by the people. Possibly the military as they have by their own history shown their will to keep taking power via a coup and all the benefits that that entails.

And lets not forget the elite that simply refuse to accept the working class to be able to vote and choose a government that is inclusive rather than BKK is the center of the universe and policy's that befit them and their family and friends, after all they're only stupid, poor, dirty, red buffalos that should not be able to vote.

How's that for asking who may have benefited by provoking deadly force?

Now as for your last Q. "do you remember what happened at Eureka Stockade?"

No I don't remember as I wasn't there but I was taught of it's history, also I lived in Ballarat for several years, and being a gold miner for several years it has a certain inters for me, as it is remembered by some as the birth place of democracy for Australia as well as the birth place of VFL now AFL. and finally were the common man can join together and overcome the ruling elite class, has a few similarity to the protesters here maybe, ( common man, elite ruling class, democracy, rights to vote,) what do you think?

  11. In Prayut's 6 month progress report did he or his ministers actually note any accomplishments?

In Yingluck's 3 years did she accomplish anything?

If she did could you please list them chronologically.

    Thank you.

It is what she did not do. Before the good general, foreigners could have a second home in Thailand. Now Condos are going unsold or unrented, restaurants have lost their regular customers and the feeling about Thailand now is hopelessness. Hopelessness as the good general tirades against the press, gives himself god like powers and does little to make anyone feel good about Thailand. But if it makes you feel better to rail against the red shirts, feel free. It is yesterday's news now.

Some of the greatest leaders have done nothing, other than allow people to live their lives without interference.

Absolutely correct. Apart from losing money in a populist scheme, corruption, nepotism and shopping to name a few things YL was a great leader because she otherwise did nothing, ".. other than allow people to live their lives without interference"

And no other government in Thailand, or any other country has ever lost money in a policy, be it populist or not,,, get a grip mate.

As for condo's not being sold, and unrented, well there may be a few other factors that could have impact on that, as I've bought a condo recently out of 240 apartments only one has not sold as yet...

  12. "Woe is me, I think I'm becoming a god.", (Vespasian) Article 44, would the same quote apply? costas can tell us maybe?

Considering it's almost a year now since the big fella took the top job, one could be forgiven for thinking he should by now understand that the media has a job to do and that is to report the issues of the day regardless if he likes it or not, sure the media has to be careful with what it puts out there in certain times but asking for understanding and saying he wants to punch them in the face and throwing banana skins at them thinking it a joke, blaming the other counties for criticizing it's practices and lake of progress in several humanitarian issues, seems something's just not sinking in.

  13. Seriously,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, From the local Pu Yi Bann to the top job in BKK, and 100 names is the best they can do??? Someone's taking the P*ss,

Really guy's if ya want the country and the world to take you seriously then you need to do a lot better than this pathetic token offering.

Now have a real crack at the thieving corrupt scumbags and get a little of that much desired respect, but that will only come once justice is seen to be done and not the old inactive post or transferred gig again.

Waiting for costas, djjamie, and hollaween, to come along singing and dancing and praising their bro-mance again. makes me laughcheesy.gif

  14. it would be helpful to know what kind of specifications makes a water gun illegal to use ? How will the police measure the pressure the gun is capable of, and who is in charge to decide over the fines ? Can a policeman stop a couple holding the water guns as shown in the photos and arrest them, to later be fined to 5 years in Hell ? Is this just another money making scheme which aims to cut the numbers of tourists in the Khao San Road much further ? How do I know if the water gun a shop owner sells to me , is illegal or not ?

It would seem that there may have been several large body gov officials heading boards and overseas junkets to study these extremely deep questions and the discern not to tell the public of the safe and accepted parameters of water guns has been made by an expert, (definition of expert), X is the unknown factor and spert is a drip under-presser.

  15. This is not the issue of how much the Thai worker is worth, this is really about the quality work of the local labor, which is quite crappy, Thai workers in general are not productive as their counterpart in China and VN, in most cases, they're lazy, irresponsible, dishonest and all around disloyal and uninspiring people to work with, hence the law remunerations they get for their mi pen rai attitude, I ought to know, I have employed hundreds of them in my factories both in Bkk and in up country....

Yu'p there are a lot of as you say "mi pen rai" workers out there, but at the same time there is a lot of good people with a good work ethic.

Perhaps instead of laying blame at Thai workers and take a look at the interview process and employment selections, after all isn't that were the employer is supposed to separate the wheat from the chaff? So your "I ought to know" is quite right, just not applied properly as an employer.

Not having a crack just pointing out the obvious elephant in the room.

    Cheers matewhistling.gif

Now about wage and living standards, The top end should have salary cap's that's a given in my book, there should be a basic living wage that is not working poor, also a given.

If wagers do go up then there needs to be prior legislation that things like rental must be on a 2 year freeze so as the rich land owners are not scalping the money that was supposed to improve the low income earner which commonly done the world over.

  16. They arrested a guy who apparently uses the handle Mr Redshirt on facebook so it is overwhelming evidence it is the work of red shirts. Anyone can use a bullcrap name on facebook but that doesn't convict. Did a search on facebook and the guy doesn't exist.

Chooka, Where is the "overwhelming evidence"?

so far they have come up with a <deleted> that publicly claims prior knowledge of the attack, Who in their right mind would do that if it was true??? although this bloke must be two sandwiches short of a picnic, but being a complete fool is not evidence.

having lived on Samui for some time there is plenty of violence to go round even without political issues.

I do hope they get the people that did it and throw then in the slot for life...

  17. "I am not an angel who can predict that [the weather]. I would be willing to answer if I were one," Sukhumbhand said. Well he said it, not Abhi, and the apology should come from him.

Quite right but it's a big ask, too much face involved and VIPs don't usually do apologies.

Also to often apologies are linked with blame and responsibility, and many don't accept those either.
