Hi All,
Made enquiries about booking car from airport and they are asking for 30,000 baht deposit, is this the normal amount ? previously in the uk you simply leave your card details.
Anyone else have experience of this.
Thanks

Hello everyone,
Next year we (thai wife and me) will be moving to Thailand from uk. Have checked the import section of thai govt website regarding Thai wife bringing back household goods etc.
Has anyone on this forum gone through this experience and maybe give some tips apart from don`t bother and buy it all again new.
Thanks

Hello ,
We are thinking of flying from bkk to buriram this year, we usually bus it or sometimes we get picked up.
I see on Nok Air website they charge for anything over 15 kg on baggage, when you are bringing 30 kg, can the members here give me some idea what you are likely to pay and share experiences of nok air on this route.
Thanks

Did you build the house yet after 10 years ?
Just askin

No, we were going to start around 18 months from now, maybe it`s a good thing that we know now , we can can use the land for other things, maybe a 7-11 for the temple visitors ? or grow things , our family have other land that we can build on so in March we can investigate.
Cheers
Good idea. A shop of some kind catering to the temple-goers. Nothing wrong with that.
Keep in mind though that the land belongs to the wat but that doesn't mean they are going to build on it. You may be quite ok living there for decades. Go and have a chat to the abbot
My wife`s land on which we were to build a house is owned by her, there is a boundary fence between us and the Wat.

Hello Everyone,
Bought some land 10 years ago with the idea of building a house, now we are told someone has donated their land at the back for a temple.
Does anyone on here have th same experience or know someone that has, i guess it will be noisy .

Hi,
Been investigating all the rules & regs, is it true that if you are over 65 all you have to do is show a bank a/c with your pension going in, apart from good health and no criminal record are ther any other requirements ?
Cheers

Bestatin seems to be the generic that is commonly prescribed and supplied here. That costs about 30B for 10 tablets (if you buy at the right pharmacy).
Cheers Kitty

Arthur, you have nailed this one, congratulations

Statins are available from any major pharmacy chain. The cost of the drug is dependent upon the dosing size. i.e. the standard "asian" dose of 5-10mg is less expensive than the typical western dose of 10-20mg.
Very interesting, ta

Maybe you're thinking of the Green Falang Kee Neow Hotel? Or perhaps the "Grand Inn Come". There are no hotels near the airport with Green in their name.
Thanks mate, but it`s not the one, the name `s on the tip of my tongue, i see Thailand has street view now so i`ll give that a go as i can remember the roads bak from airport and it`s next to canal.

Hi Everyone,
Few years ago we stayed at a hotel not far (5 mins by taxi) from bkk airport, cannot remember name, although i am sure the word `green` is in there somewhere, the hotel is beside small river/canal with nice bridge over to large temple on other side.
Jog anyone`s memory ??
Cheers

Get your tickets, (you know you will), go for a face to face with her , your own common sense will take over.
If it`s a no go then continue your holiday and enjoy.
