From Facebook:According to the government...If I get vaccinated:1.- Can I stop wearing the mask?Government Response - No2.- Can they reopen restaurants, pubs, bars etc and everyone work normally?Government Response - No3.- Will I be resistant to covid?Government Response - Maybe, but we don't know exactly, it probably won't stop you getting it4.- At least I won't be contagious to others anymore?Government Response - No you can still pass it on, possibly, nobody knows.5.- If we vaccinate all children, will school resume normally?Government Response - No6.- If I am vaccinated, can I stop social distancing?Government Response - No7.- If I am vaccinated, can I stop disinfecting my hands?Government Response - No8.- If I vaccinate myself and my grandfather, can we hug each other?Government Response - No9.- Will cinemas, theatres and stadiums be reopened thanks to vaccines?Government Response - No10.- Will the vaccinated be able to gather?Government Response - No11.- What is the real benefit of vaccination?Government Response - The virus won't kill you.12.- Are you sure it won't kill me?Government Response - No13.- If statistically the virus won't kill me anyway ... Why would I get vaccinated?"Government Response - To protect others.14.- So if I get vaccinated, the others are 100% sure I'm not infecting them?Government Response - NoSo to summarize, the Covid19 vaccine...Does not give immunity.Does not eliminate the virus.Does not prevent death.Does not guarantee you won’t get it.Does not prevent you from getting it.Does not stop you passing it onDoes not eliminate the need for travel bans.Does not eliminate the need for business closures.Does not eliminate the need for lockdowns.Does not eliminate the need for masking.So... I guess I should rush out and get one?- 1

And just what constitutes an emergency?

Other countries are being charged ~$19.50/dose! [2x$19.50=$39; $106-$39= $67]. If $67 is not a profit what is it?

That is BT650 per dose - other countries are buying it for around BT450. I wonder???

It is "time" to wake up! Gambling is illegal except for cock fighting, lotteries and bull fighting unless you count all the dens of iniquity throughout the nation.

The last few days a lot of tents have been setup for (undoubtedly) Covid in and around Pattaya. But what is their purpose? I only see the people (police and health care workers?) in there looking at their smartphones... No checks or anything.
Smart phone screens are difficult to see in the bright sunlight so the tents are there to provide shade and make it easier to 'surf the net'.

On 12/31/2020 at 12:32 PM, robblok said:Though the headline is right its a bit misleading.
It suggest that Thais and migrants were caught for gambling and only the migrants were detained. This is not true if you read the article it says that nobody was detained for the gambling but that the migrants were all illegal in Thailand.
So its only logical that they are detained. The headline almost makes it out that there were two standards applied.Reread the OP

Misprint? Does this park measure less than 6 X 10 meters? With beachfront? ????
Perhaps a re-read of the OP - 58.58 square kilometers of land

Aren't all posts inactive? All I ever see is the police sitting and gazing at their smartphone - no sign of activity!

The school apologises for the incident and is sorry for what happened.
Perhaps it is the parents who should apologise to the school for failure to discipline their children in the home. Too many children, when at home, act with impunity knowing there will be no reprimands regardless of their actions - spoiled brats!

The spacecraft will travel at 11 kilometres per hour to the moon, before slowing to enter lunar orbit at 2kph.
To travel the 384,400 km to the moon at 11 kph will take 4 years - many of the cars on the highways have already attempted flight but at a much greater speed. (Note: They all failed to achieve orbit!)
In theoretical terms, the escape velocity at the surface of Earth is 11.2 km per second (6.96 miles per second). The lunar orbital speed for Apollo 11 was about 1.6 km/sec
I wonder if Minister Anek Laothamatas may have confused the rate of speed? I hope the space ship designers are more astute!

A word of advise - use the best quality plumbing and before burying it, or embedding it, perform a 2 hour hydro static pressure test to detect any leaks. Some of the 'plumbers' do very shoddy work and use the cheapest material available. Once a system is embedded as they do here in Thailand repairing a leak becomes a major undertaking! Been there done that!

I use Hitachi pumps (we have 2 homes) and have a 300W and 350W - especially helpful if you plan on watering your lawn, etc.
