400 baht per lesson is a steal - if he's any good. PM me, I'd be interested in getting some lessons too.

As we all know, in most of our homelands, the guy would just be simply dismissed as a lunatic and would not get any attention from even his friends, let alone the media and general public.
It's the gullible "customers" and the indiscriminate media that should be arrested for giving the guy a gram of credibility (hearers) and a platform (the media).
T.I.T.
In my country lunatics like this and their predictions are big news and some people take them seriously
In my country lunatics like this run the country

Try Amanta Service Apt in Ratchada Soi 5
Thanks, but way out of my league. Looking for something in the 5k -8k THB range
That's a budget for non-serviced apartments.
I should have stated this question a little better. 5k- 8k is the budget for a month. Now, do most serviced apartments have restrictions on guests (not just the occasional 1 nighter) but allowing friends or girl friends to spend time without an added charge?
Thanks for your wisdom.

When we first moved here years ago we noticed a Thai couple with a motorbike and sidecar digging through our trash barrel every time we put it out front. We went out and spoke to them one day and they were really nice people, but the husband has a game leg and cannot find good employment so they recycle for a living.
Now we just save all the recyclable trash from paper, plastic, metals, glass, and even old broken pumps or housewares that we don't want and they come each week and ring our bell to pick everything up. It's a great win-win-win. We now recycle about 90% of what we used to through away, easy for us and good for the environment, and they get a big load of stuff they can sell each week without having to dig through our trash bin!
Excellent. Nice to be able to help out the less fortunate

Yes....no hot water could disappoint an expectant jacuzzi party.
You should have called the Swiss dude and a handful of his cohorts to bucket up some hot water from the gourmet kitchen.

So I've been scouring the listings for serviced apartments and I stumble across the question I always encounter when booking a place in BKK.
Serviced apartments are they guest friendly??????
I'm looking for a place up in Huai Kwang Din Daeng area
-
For a single guy.....great place........just watch out for the Swiss manager/owner as he gets cantankerous at around midnight.
Ask for a huge discount on the Jacuzzi suites, tub big enough for 4...tell the Swiss dude Uncle Sam sent you and to use my VIP card.....but get the 3rd floor, not second as that is right above the bar.
I had the jacuzzi room on the 3rd floor once. Never used because no hot water - my date was very disappointed as was I

khawb kun krap mak mak. I really screwed up with titling this post, "Non O Immigration."
Thanks for your jai yen

Thank you all for your responses. Now you're going to think I'm crazy, but ... on multiple entry tourist visa or a double entry Tourist Visa I will NOT need a return flight plane ticket that is dated for a specific date.

Hope YS doesn't let it get to her head like Madame Nhu and her "Women's Solidarity Movement." An ex TG once told me she wanted to join the police force but subsequently didn't when she found out that women officers couldn't carry guns. Dangerous girl who is gratefully in my past.

get a multi entry non-immigrant visa
You have checked on the requirements and can meet them? You did not mention on what basis you would qualify for non immigrant visa. As said airline is not a problem with any visa entry.
I guess, I don't meet the requirements for a non O. So which visa would best suit my needs as mentioned in the above post. I don't mind having to do visa runs.
Thanks

Now my other questions are:
1. Do you need a non O immigration visa to open a Thai bank account?
2. Do you need a non O immigration visa to apply for a work permit - I would like to teach English, but intend to get my TEFL or TESL in Thailand?
3. Do you need a non O immigration visa to do the above or can I do it on a tourist visa - which in turn would lead me back to the initial question of the post on roundtrip ticket?
I'm not married to a Thai.
-
For airline considerations, if you have a visa you do not need a return ticket. Some consulates may require one to issue the visa though.
Thank you very much. I'll discuss this with the Thai consulate here in Los Angeles. My departure isn't until next year, but that question has always baffled me.
-
Hi, all - I have a rather naive question that I just can't seem to find the answer to, even though I tried to do numerous searches through this forum for the answer for.
I plan to move to LOS for a year and plan to get a multi entry non-immigrant visa here in the USA from the Thai consulate.
Now can someone explain the flight ticket for round trip - since you need a return ticket, or don't you on this type of visa?
While searching for flights with a year later return seems impossible?!?!
Thanks for your wisdom.
