If you come out of Kosa Hotel and head straight under the bridge type thing, there is a little office on the left. Owned by local policeman. I used to use them a few years ago and never had any trouble with them. There are also a few around the Pullman, Leo Bar area & not heard any bad reports recently. You also have the international brands at the airport. Many to choose from
Any names or telephone numbers would be appreciated...... thanks

Hi
Im about do my first border crossing to initiate the second stage of my triple tourist Visa, I have extended the first 60 days with a trip to the local Immigration, I now intend having a trip up to Loas for a few days. My departure date from Thailand is Sat 22nd Feb, my question is how keen will they be at Nong Khai with regards to crossing departure date and the overstay charge...... It would suit me better to leave say 23 or 24 Feb. Thanks

You do have to study in the province where you sign up for the ed visa, why not try tls / Ctls language school whom have schools in Bangkok and Pattaya they would easily transfer your documents and believe they register students in Bangkok and transfer to pattaya and vis versa. If you ed visa is still live they may be able to save a trip to Laos. Goodluck

A return flight is not required for entry and is not a requirement for boarding flights per IATA regulations. Where it is sometimes required is for visa issue at Consulate but normally that is only for third country nationals and not asked of those in home country.
Thanks Lopburi
You need to have a guaranteed job before applying for a Non Immigrant B visa, as you require a stack full of papers from the Company employing you.
I don't have a job yet, apparently I am to use a tourist visa for looking for work and then change to non-B upon gaining employment (with employer papers and via the vientiane Thai embassy fun and games routine). Please let me know if you know differently.
you may require at least 60 day visa as the correspondence and red tape for a work permit can take quite some time at the employment centre in BKK during my recent process I had to have an additional 30 days added
Relocating to Chiang Mai
in Chiang Mai
Posted
Hi
I understand this issue as been covered several times, and I have read a number of old posts. However getting up to date knowledge is more beneficial
My plan is to relocate later this year to Chiang Mai and rent a property, I am quite familiar with some areas of CM and will be visiting again later this month.
I am British have a Thai wife and young child we would prefer areas with a expat community and all the modern requirements wifi etc.
There seems to be lots of property for rent at the moment but getting the correct location and some thing that suits my requirements and budget is important. I would prefer a three bedroom house on the outskirts of town my budget is 10k - 14k. I have checked many of the real estate sites however reading the forums people suggest not using them because of the inflated prices and pressure you for a 12 month lease
I would appreciate any help guidance or pointers to achieve my goal thank you
