Plenty of rumour now and in the past on Thai media grapevine and gossip that Cambodians are being hired to do the dirty work, even voting on behalf of long deceased people.
What s with rumour. Its common knowledge around here. We live 30k from the border. The Thais hate the Cambodians.....why should it be a surprise if the Cambodians come to Thailand to killl
I don't know which border, you live 30 km from??
Fact is that the Thai people on the border with Cambodia, who speak Khmer, are culturally much closer to the Cambodians. And their bonds with the Camdodians are much stronger than those to Bangkok!
I am not talking about Hun Sen, but about ordinary people!!
As for the second part of your post, simply to stupid to comment on!!

I'm amazed that the police will start gathering evidence and interviewing eye witnesses, 24 hours after the murder.
Are they jokers or completely incompetent?
In what civilised country would that happen?
Greece??

And the answer is NO!!!!!!!!! Totally insane. And later you wonder why politicians are so disrespected in Thailand. They must know what they do is bad. Just return those greedy farmers their rice. This is acceptable. There must be a lesson in it for the farmers too!
So if someone came to your school and offered to pay 40-50% more for your language-classes, you would turn them away, because of your high moral standards?? I didn't think so!!
The problem with the rice-scam is, that the added value has not ended with the farmers, but with the middlemen!!
Try to google: Siam Indica

Someone gets murdered and the police is actually going to investigate it!!
So unusual, that they have to hold a pressconference to inform the world about it!!

The government has enough money. They just can't access it because the government is in "caretaker" mode due to the elections.
So, basically ..the farmers are not being paid thanks to Suthep.
Why not blame Sutheps parents?? Had they not had sex and given birth to him, none of this would have happend!!

Good business sense put it out to the competitive market...
I'm sure a lot will be whining but at least they are trying to get the farmers paid for what they have already sold on promise.
I see a lot of posters hating the idea of for some reason and have no idea why they would wish hardship on hard working farmers. They deserve to be paid in full asap imo.
Fair enough!! But not one word from Mr Kittirat about stopping the stupid scheme!!
So when the next crop is ready, out with the beggar-bowl again, wasting even more billions of taxpayer money, so Shinawatra familys ricetrading companies can get even richer!!

Kudos to the general for voicing regret at the death/murder of the protest leader. Not a peep from the government.
Just another empty gesture!!
If the army, instead of sitting on the fence for a couple of months, had actually done their job and protected the constitutional rights of the Thai voters, maybe the protest-"leader" would be alive today?
If anyone should be blamed for the death, apart from the army, it is the EC!!

What's he going to do..... buy Chalerm a large bottle of malt whisky?
Nope ... chalerm prefers ear medicine
How refreshing with an original joke!!
How would Thaivisa survive without the creativity of some posters??

Does anyone have a list of Shinawatra businesses that i can boycott?
I don't know if they're Shinawatra businesses or not, but around where I live, people have begun boycotting the following:
- AIS
- PTP
- 7/11
- CP
CP has their fingers in a lot of different pies, so a little research should show they run quite a few different companies.
AIS?? What a surprise!!
CP and 7/11 is the same company. 7/11 owned by CP ALL
PTP is a political party.
So maybe you need to do a little research yourself??

You have to be crazy to want to ride a bicycle on the roads in Thailand.
Nothing crazy about wanting to do it.
Just crazy to do it.
Been biking here every day for more than 10 years, 30-40 km/daily!!
Never had an accident!!
On the other hand, it has often surprised me to see Thai bikers doing their exercise-rounds on main highways!

Two faced yellow shirts...
What about the state of emergency they imposed in 2010 that resulted in 90 inocent people being shot to death?
Oh that's right...they are the "good people", above the law.
You would too in response to bamboo stakes, killing soldiers, looting, arson, burning tires, bombings.
You have got your facts backwards. Better tune into some youtube video footage that show the common tourist who just arrived what happened here in 2010.
What a surprise to hear Khun gemini tell us about what happened in 2010!!
And everyone not agreeing with him are classified as tourists??
You will fit wonderfully into Mr Sutheps new wonderful world of "the good people"! Maybe the new masters will allow you to clean their toilets??
-
What the f*** are wrong with those people??
You are responsible for the lives and safety for a group of young people, and drives with 3 times over the limit in your blood??
Hope the youths recover quickly!!

When a state of emergency was last imposed in 2010 during pro-Thaksin protests, the government then led by Abhisit cracked down with armoured vehicles and soldiers firing live rounds. More than 90 people were killed and nearly 1,900 injured.
AFP has forgotten to add that the 2010 protests led by the red shirts were not peaceful as they are the 2014 protests.
Buildings were burned down, people were killed and the whole country was in shambles.
Adhisit and the army had to impose some law and order.
Today the protests follow the Democratic right of every citizen to peacefully protest for his/her political and civil believes.
"Today the protests follow the Democratic right of every citizen to peacefully protest for their political and civil believes"
Costas, my dear. Are you on LSD??
The democratic and constitutional right is for every citizen to have their say at the ballot-box, without being bullied by thugs, who think otherwise!!
I thought the word democracy came from Greek? Sleeping through classes??

A man was killed and the death should be properly investigated and those found responsible prosecuted.
Utter nonsense. A man is murdered and all you can do is demonise him."A leader of the people", as in the foto title, is a misnomer. He was a leader of a neo fascist political party, advocating a non elected parliament, as a political model for thailand. He ended up as Mussolini, killed on the streets by the people
Lets be clear though that the circumstances surrounding his death are somewhat exceptional.
Here was a man that was trying to curtail peoples right to vote.
He was leading protesters whose only intention was to hinder and ultimately remove the majorities democratic rights.
PDRC must also share in the responsibility of this mans death
This infringement of the right to vote was bound to anger and frustrate, and, the resulting violence against those engaging in these anti democratic actions is hardly surprising.
These are rights that historically many have fought and died trying to secure.
Suthin Tharatin died tying to deny the people access to their Democratic rights.
What a waste.
Here was a man, Suthin Tharatin, who died trying to leave and was murdered before he could leave. It is a big poling area and the police where there. There is nothing different from this cold blooded murder than in any murder in any country. A murder is a murder, even if Chalerm warned about ex-judicial murders and some foreigners feel it is ok.
How do tourists and voters feel safe? What happened to the grenade throwers? Who have the Police arrested here?
Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand
"How can tourists and voters feel safe?"
I am sure that without Sutheps mob on the streets, both tourists and voters (and the average Bangkokian)
would feel a lot safer!!
Yes get the Shins out, but use the ballot-box to accomplish it!!
Strange how a hardcore member of the PAD, with their extreme ideologi, suddenly becomes a hero fighting for a cause, because he happened to stay in the way of a bullet?
Wonder if those idiots trying to block the voting, understand they are blocking their own right to vote for a couple of decades, under "the good peoples council"
Ofcourse they, silly me!

We don't want postponement for a later date.
We want the Siwanatra clan ousted, and then think about elections.
We???? Congratulations with your Thai citizenship!!
