You did get the memo?  90 day reports in person are done at Muang Thong Thani - not at CW.  Yes you can do without appointment - the 2nds floor parking lot is arranged with chairs to wait your turn.  I would have copy of passport as well as the tm47 in case local computers are down but do not believe normally required.

    You certainly aren't alone.

What gets me is how easily they can amend immigration laws to include things like covid tests, bedroom pictures etc but they can't add a law that would permit all those with families, regardless of whether or not they work here to remain here permanently.

  4. I just want to share my experience for this year also

I left my home 6:30 since no traffic i was there(GC B) around 7:30 i left my kid in car with a friend and i went in, i got the queue number 25 which it was pretty same as last year ( the same experience as jackthompson i got just one "L1"for both extension and stamps transfer)

I went down to the bank and waited for open at 8:40 i got my bank letter and i went for some photocopy when i back up i saw number 23 so my wife ran to get my daughter , they called my number i went in the officer ( her face was nice like last year ) she started to proceed my stamps transfer by the time it finished my wife arrived , the other paperworks , picture , some photocopy in downstairs and it was finished about 30 minutes for returning my passport and she asked me to keep the money for one more month till i get the final stamp( same as last year) and finally i walked out around 9:45

Maybe it was my fastest experience

Thanks for everyone that shared their experiences here

That 60 day extension to visit your Thai wife or child would be done at Chaeng Wattana.

Only tourist extensions are done at the other office.

That's right , unfortunately immigration hot line just give us a bunch of wrong information , the other day i called and he directed me to the new office after i asked about bank he said he is not sure if there is a bank there

I use another bank, but all were open when I was there a couple weeks ago.

At least 2 photo / print / copy services available - can send them docs of your phone with Line at at least one (the one I used)

Less crowded, after the "tourist only" building was set up at Muang Thong Thani.  But if you arrive early, will still be a long line.  Even later, there is a que to get into the building itself (bag-screening and temperature-check), which takes some time.

The stamp-transfer may be done at the same time now.  I expected 2 steps, but was given an "L" ticket straight away, to spite having those documents on top.  No complaint about this later by the IO.

Hard to give a clear time.  Maybe you get seen (que# called) before the lunch-break, but even then, may not get your passport back until after lunch.  I would expect to get there early, and leave by 3 or 4 PM.   Go crack of dawn, might help, or might not.

Bad thing - no place to sit except on planters or the floor in the large atrium until your queue# is close, at which point you can sit in the area near your "zone" ("L" etc).

Note: agents/clients were in and out in 5 mins.  Just a quick pic and "handoff" to the IO between "official" queue numbers.  I could not find an agent to help with a marriage-based, though.  If using an easily-abused type of extension, like Retirement or Edu, no problem - still as welcome as ever by the IOs to abuse the system.

Thanks for replying , i think i will be there before 8:00 usually i don't mind to go there twice but not this time, i hope everything goes smoothly

  7. Hi

    For government complex building B

Does the k bank open and work as usual in these days?

Also about photocopy and picture services

How is the crowd situation(for last 5 days)?

Do i have to move my stamps to the new passport before the extension ?

And the last question is how long does it take from walking in to walking out with ready documents?

    Thanks

Welcome to Amazing Thailand. It's not really known for IT or innovation, tech, modernization or functionality in any department, anywhere.  It's more known for lip service, pretending and BS. The things that made/make it Amazing can't be openly mentioned here. Hope this helps. Choke dee!

Actually online banking system is really nice and super easy to use , online shopping system is getting improve very fast also , as far as i know only immigration online system is completely useless

I don't know about online education system

You know if they really want to fight against criminal or illegal foreigners a nice online system do much better than a TM30 report , they can have a nice and clear map of who lives where and if they see any suspicious face by traffic cameras or something super easy and searchable in that map they will not waste time and they can find them much much easier

People just don't get it. It's widely understood that exposure to large & dense crowds increases exposure to the virus. Even more so at CW which, by definition, hosts hundreds of international travelers.  The OP's question is valid.  An adult will wear a mask, watch out for people sneezing, not touch his face, etc.  A child -- not so much.

it's a valid concern, and no reason to ridicule or demean the gentleman for asking.

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure if we even have one infected person in there adults may escape by a bit extra care but kids are mostly will be infected just a second and finger in mouth or scratching eyes and that's it , and they care infect parents also

You're worried about taking your kid to CW because she/he might catch corna, but have no worries going there yourself and taking the virus home with you too pass on to her ?
Some people worry far to much.

Adults will try to careful as much as possible but children don't understand the situation , did you ever see a kid use mask correctly ? They will try to take it off very fast as soon as they feel warm , do you think children really understand after touch anything they need to clean their hand before they touch their eyes or mouth , again no one understands what I'm saying unless they are parents

I think moving branches in open areas which there is plenty of open area is available there or they accept applications online by getting appointment before for those they are in second extension or more could help to control this situation

I really don't mind i pay more for services fee also as I'm sure that most parents will agree with me

Trying to reduce crowd in their is even good for officers and stuffs also if only new cases are obligated to represent themselves there , most people they are in second extension or so they have all documents completely , it's even good for elderly also

This problem is getting worse day by day

You worry to much, people go to work everyday in huge offices, children go to school. Children aren't more vulnerable to corona. People with lung problems are.

That's true but in cw is a different story ,we don't know who went where and who is there for what , some for extending tourist visa and a lot of other reasons or even some for only asking questions  , plus now I'm observing parents bring their children in public areas much less than before , currently when we want to buy something it's only me or my wife goes for shopping , only one second and a small scratching eyes for a kid is enough which they are curious and they are playful all the time
