A lot of this has to do with the wages. I know a guy that teaches at Uni level and get less than 30K a month. But a lot of it has to do with location... we have an ELS and we're offering 60K a month... but when you say it's in Surin they're not interested. Still needing two TESOL teachers...

Anyone live out in Nichada Thani? What's it like? In terms of grocery shopping, personal needs, eating out. Quiet and peaceful..or dreadfully isolated? How long does it take you to get to MBK-National Stadium-Siam area? Can you get to the BTS line without hassle? What mode of transport would you recommend? When time should you avoid trying to get into the heart of BKK?

I'm taking a job in Nichada Thani, and don't want to live so far away from the city. Can anyone recommend an area of the city, or near, that would be logistically possible? Work begins at 6:30AM and ends at 2:00PM. (Apparently so that many people can commute without the hassle of BKK traffic.)
