Kaew won there is no question a complete mockery and injustice. It was also worth 50 million baht to him to win, I think I would go down on the canvas distraught If I had that kind of money dangled in-front of me then taking away by incompetent judges.
Apparently Toyota are giving him a new truck as runner up, not much to look forward to there then!

agree, i personally hate pattaya deeply.
That much you feel the need to read and post on a Pattaya forum? is Bangkok that boring you got nothing better to do?

I'm still resting from '88 - '95, 7 years of Balearic Beats, Hedonism in a shirt dancing the night away to the likes of Farley, Rampling, Fung, Oakenfold spinning the very best cool trendy tunes. Our generation started the whole house music scene, I was there from the start. I don't remember much about it apart from everyone in the very best of spirits, happy smiling faces, we thought we was going to change the world. Then the Acid Ted, Pikeys and plastic gangsters arrived and killed it, some might say a house snob from back in the day when it all started, that's fine by me.

White trash....
<deleted>?
Most foreigners in Thailand that are either visiting or living are losers and typically brainless. Hard to find a normal person to hang out with unless arms full of tattoos and the topic of discussion for the day is football and hookers. These guys are not the only ones, there are others out there just as stupid, these guys just got caught doing the stupid LOL....
Yeah but white trash is racist. It's like me saying black trash if they were black, then there would be uproar.

Property boom, is this just BKK, go to jomptien not to the estate agents, look at a condo notice board, nice 32 Sq M hotel style room hot shower, air con,Good balcony, swim pool, reception security well maintained 6,000 bht per year Main/fee. lift, 300 meters from beach 750,000 cannot sell, my friend is selling.... so where is the boom. another example 5,000 a month condo, another 590,000 bht -small but nice. big boom alright----you have to believe 25% of what you see and hear.
The boom is in the new builds, the decent ones are selling like hot cakes. However I agree with SOEYCHANLOY that it could become another Spain. Too many doors not enough people, borrowed money and retirement dreams left shattered.

^run around BIB are collecting for the higher ups. I thought everyone knew that???
Everyone that's never been in that situation, that's most so your nearly right.
-
contrary to popular belief on this forum, bars in Pattaya generally do not pay regular money to the BIB, at least not the Thai-owned ones. I suspect they want to keep it that way.
Spot on fella only the numpties pay tea money, you will never ever see a "proper" copper in Pattaya demanding money from a bar it's only the "runaround soi rats" they ain't real coppers with their deputy dawg badge wallet they get thrown scraps from soi 9 for info on crimes that have been committed in and around Pattaya. Only the gullible fall for their demanding money with menaces.

It really sickens me the to stomach that there are people out there in this world that would actually take the time and effort to post on the internet about someone selling bleeding doughnuts and how "wrong" it is and how "embarrassing" and how they should "go back home" when after all, it has got absolutely bugger all to do with them.

Wherever one lives in the world one will at some point feel they need a little break and a change of scenery. In my experience and traveling all over Thailand from the south to north, east to west it really is nice to visit these places for a few days, a few days and that sure is enough as the boredom starts to set in with bugger all to do and most places isolated and everything an inconvenience.
There is always that sense of adventure and excitement when one travels away from home but it doesn't last long, nothing better for me as when i drive down Sukhumvit road after a few days away and see the Sawasdee Welcome to Pattaya sign, it's like thank <deleted>*# I'm home.

Pattaya will make or break you. If your smart with your cash and have a good circle of Thai and foreign friends alike, have a hobby and socialize in bars now and then not all the time then Pattaya is "the" number 1 place to live in Thailand.
If your not so smart with your monies have no friends, like to drink a lot and have no interest in a hobby then your better off living in the village in Loserville with a bottle of Lao Khao an internet connection and slag the place off you'd really like be.

Everyone has a choice when they land in Bangkok which way are they going to go, where are they going to lay their roots for the foreseeable future. Some folk make decisions that suit them some folk make mistakes this is where the bitterness comes from.
I just watched the beautiful sunset set across Pattaya Bay sipping on a ice cold beer where I live, not to far away from me the likes of Kobi Elbaz is investing over 2 Billion baht on Bali Pier, the harbor and his new high end project along with other projects where I'm sure millions if not billions more baht has been poured into.
That's just an example, there are countless other major companies pouring astounding vast amount of cash into Pattaya to make it an even nicer and better and even more desirable place to live, if you like to live amongst nice things that is.
So as I call out to my beautiful girlfriend to kindly pour me another ice cold beer on my balcony over looking the bay, I raise a glass to you Pattaya haters with a cheeky little wink becasue at least for me I know I made the right decision. Cheers.

It is an unfortunate fact that those who are anti Pattaya can not afford to live here, don't be sick of them, pity them.

Lakorns are crap.

I noticed a trait at Tonys gyms and it is a phenomena I've never seen before. Some idiot will finish his set of 10 then walk slowly and in his eyes manly around the gym almost like a peacock, glancing at himself in the mirror walking around the complete gym in circles, its f'ing annoying, don't these coc* heads realize they look complete and utter wan*ers.

Problem with a company owning land is that you are vulnerable to being caught every day! And one time it will happen.
Loosing the land/house, paying fines, being deported, visas being denied are all possible outcomes.
Could you point me in the right direction where this has already happened to someone, a link maybe....thank you.

haha, now this is kinda funny, referring to what i just wrote above a few minutes ago, anyone witnessed the angry violent Brit attacking a black car on sukhumvit, close to soi 15?
He was probably on stereoids or something, he was totally angry and insane, he reminded me of a wild animal. He tried to grab the driver, but he could not reach him, so instead he started to land 4 heavy punches on the back window, I was waiting for the window to crack.
Anyone knows the story behind this incident? Why did the almost shaved headed fotboll hooligan Brit attack the car and the people inside the car?
and the sad story is, thais will just say, "it was a farang".
The incident happened like 20 minutes ago
Maybe he tried some Moose piss, apparently it rots the brain and is the national favourite dish of some European country that boarders Norway and
Finland.

Living in Thailand one can be grateful of a wife that only goes quiet every now and then. It is far better then having a wife that secretly shaves in the morning.

Thailand, one of the best countries in the world to get a street wise education. If your a fast leaner it isn't going to cost you much, if your slow it's going to be an expensive course and as the locals say "up to you".

I'm a London cabbie and next time I take a fare and there is a "misunderstanding" with a foreign visitor to my country I will take out my trusty piece of wood and smack them over the head a few times.

I was a timeshare tout in Tenerife in the late 80's early 90's. Each "up" or couple over 25 under 65 that stayed in the resort for an hour you got paid 10,000 pesetas about 50 quid English. When you hit 11 "ups" they rose to 12,000 pesatas, the average weeks ups for me was around 12 due to the relentless partying each night it was difficult to do a full days graft but for a teenager that was great money back then all tax free. The money was so good due to the fact on average 2 couples bought out of every 10 you sent in a taxi and that was another big bonus when they bought.
Many folk from the UK used to go on "Timeshare Holidays" they turned up for 2 weeks and spent a few hours each day in every timeshare resort pretending to be interested in buying a timeshare when all they were doing was getting the free gifts, duty frees, aqua park tickets, 3 days rent a car, perfume vouchers etc etc basically blaggers blagging the blaggers, brilliant.
