Yes, Thailand is less tolerant. I have been to the Philippines many times and they welcome expats with open arms (just look at their visa policies). Also on 1 Aug the Philippines is allowing foreigners with a long term visa (SRRV) back in.

Hello, My 1 year retirement visa/extension is due to end 25 April.
I normally go to an agent in Pattaya, but with the road check points it would be easier to do in Rayong.
Does anyone know of a reliable visa agent in Rayong?
Thank you for any replies!

I need to go to Pattaya next week for immigration and I know it can all change.
What documents other than my passport do I need..so confused.
Thanks!

Watch this and make your on informed opinion if this is all a big lie.

I understand this in theory. My problem is the left lane is normally full of holes that can swallow a tire and ruts that toss my old jeep around. Too bad the roads are not all concrete instead of a thin layer of asphalt that fail's in 6 months.

Greetings,
My 1 year non-o "visa" expires at the end of April. I am going out of Thailand the middle of May.
I do not want another 1 year retirement non-o.
Can I go to a Thai Immigration office and get a 30 day extension or just do a border run?
Yes, I know I should have planned better.
Thanks..

TV really slams Trump..how about a un-bias comparison showing Clinton's faults..which most are criminal under federal law.

We were born with a sex drive and weed grows out of the ground naturally.. why criminalize everything?
Oh, I forgot...government asset seizures and privatized for profit prisons...

Yes, if the tourist don't do it. who will?
The Thai's say they love their country? I say BS, as they toss their plastic garbage all along the beach... They are all like little children, with no sense of responsibility.

Greetings,
I have had 800,000 baht in my Thai bank for about 6 months now.
If I go and get a O visa in Laos, can I come back to the Thai Immigration and get my retirement extension right away since the money has been in the bank more than 3 months?
This is my first try for an extension. The reason I want it right away is, I will be going back to work outside Thailand soon and want to complete this right away.
I do know it only needs to be in the bank for 2 months for the first time but that is too long.
Thanks for the replys.

I love the age discrimination in this country....

As stated above there are some negatives to consider in the Philippines but the people are more friendly there, english is everywhere (spoken, signs, documents, etc.)
There are so many beautiful, uncrowded beaches there compared to Thailand. The best thing I like about the Philippines is the government wants tourist's and retirees as the visas are so easy to get there. Give it a go.. just stay out of Manila.

Staying in the Philippines is so less stressful visa wise, plus the beaches are much better in P.I..
This is your choice, way the options carefully. Best of luck to you and your girlfriend.

They do not issue a Lao visa on arrival at Paksan.
You can get a Thai exemption stamp at Bueng Kan.

Yes, chances are you would be cutting it way too close.
I usually get back to Nong Khai around 5pm.
Stay the night in Udon.

When I go to Vientiane i take the bus at the border to the central bus station (or you can stop where desired) for 6000 kip.
The local Tuk Tuk prices are around 30,000 -40,000 kip for around town but you will have to negotiate for those prices.

I have found Yahoo mail to be working very poorly. I work where the internet is very slow and Yahoo mail is almost unusable.
My Gmail works so much better even with my slow connection.
So, you are not alone with this problem.

Thanks Mole,
I opened up a business in Nong Khai and I thought my GF was saying Tiger Inn but it was Thai Gun Aeng.
Now I know what it means.
