I might be interested in buying it here
PM me
There ain't enough money in the world to buy it from me .... :-) I did everything on that bike, from getting it blasted to HPN headstock welded and on and on ... I'll PM you my site so you can take a look at it. Besides, it's secured with a carnet de passage, so it HAS to get back to Canada....

I am dealing with Schenker... They promised to send a quote, twice, and never heard back. This is despite a few phone calls with them and all sounded good etc. Kerry only ships small packages. Got an immediate reply from them. Still, thanks for the tip. In touch now with chiangmaishipping.com and they were responsive. Should get a quote tomorrow. I need to make a border run to get my paperwork in order as I overstayed my 30 day bike limit...

No , it does not have a green book. It's a Canadian plated bike. And buying another one in Canada is a non-starter ...

Greetings,
I am trying to ship my bike ('86 BMW R80G/S) from CNX to Vancouver. I contacted Schenker but no reply from them. Can someone tell me if there are other options out there that people have used? I am looking at sea shipping.
Thanks,

check out this place, 'Tony's big bikes', I have rented here and they have a workshop area and are very friendly and helpful, maybe you could rent workshop space for a few hours?
cheers
Yeah I rented from "Tony's Big Bikes" too last year, it was a disaster... see my posting on this: http://www.nohorizons.net/2012/0-thailand-1-Golden%20Triangle-2-onwards.html

Thanks guys. I found a place at a local expat's place. All fixed now.

You might want to check out gt-rider.com. I believe they have a forum and have many members in Chiang Mai area.
I did post there indeed and that is where the phone call came from I believe.

Thanks for the tips guy! I really like the love motel option ... :-) gotto remember that one.. I've been to Riders Corner as well but there didn't seem an easy option available. I've just been called by a nice gentleman who offered his place so I'll most likely take him up on it today or tomorrow.
Cheers,
Kevin

Hi all,
I'm traveling around the world and am in Chiang Mai at the moment. I am looking for a garage/shop space where I can do a few minor maintenance items to the bike (change gear box oil, drive line oil etc.). I also need to replace the final drive O ring (it’s a BMW R80G/S). I have a new seal and need a flat seal puller (but I’ll probably buy one and leave it behind for whoever can use it). I am more than happy to pay for oil disposal and shop time. I’d probably want to borrow a hammer and few nails (to indent the oil seal) and sundry items like an oil pan and funnel.
I do all my own work on my bike so I am hesitant to ask a local shop for space as inevitably they’ll want to jump in and help out.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could go to find some space?
The other thing I would like to find is a high-pressure self-serve car wash, if that exists here … It’s been since Arizona (I am from Canada) since the bike’s had a wash … J

Has anyone got a good reccomendation on a dematologist? I need a few birth marks removed from my cheek. Not sure if it would fall under plastic surgery or dermatology. I suspect they would want a derma to look at it first. They are not small (1 cm across), so I have some concern as to post op cosmetic look of it too obviously. Thanks for any feedback.
Kevin
Dr. Siri from the pinned list above. He has done a bit of work on me - face included, and you could not possibly tell where he cut. He is a master surgeon (unlike skin doctors in Europe who left big ugly scars or skin doctors in USA who wanted US $10,000.00 to do what Dr. Siri did for about 8K THB).
Much appreciated, I will track him down, Thanks!
I tried to find his office via the address but I get Soi 1,2,3 etc for Moonmuang rd. If he is on the moat, where in relation to Chiang Mai gate? It seems just around the first corner here... on the inside or the outside of the moat? Thanks, Kevin

Thanks all, I took a quote from AB Schenker which was less than I paid to ship from BKK to YVR in 2006. This is $1,200, all in.
