Just a warning if you live in Pattaya, loud bike exhausts seems to be the police's top priority, 1000 baht each time stopped according to friends.
All 2 wheeler s in house household runs original exhausts, as I am not willing to shell out 2-4000 baht per month on that.
That's why you buy an exhaust with maragol, it's Thai street legal. The police can not bother you about it.

Went to Bikers today and picked up some new bar ends and brake/clutch levers. Great shop, great service, and the parts seem to be great quality.
Can anyone recommend a slip-on that is relatively quiet? I hate the look of the OEM exhaust, but am hesitant to get anything noisy.
I would say go with a full system. The cosf is almost the same. Mad-max has one for 6500. It doesnt have the thai stamp but i think it looks nice. It also shouldnt be too loud. But im not sure as im using the stock one still. It seems pretty loud when i watch play back from my rides from work. Maybe thats just my riding style though.
If your looking for an exhaust that has the thai stamp on it there are many shops that have them.

Say away from the short silencers. And you should be good.

Last week my bike crankshaft bearing went out on me. Around 15,500km. It's kinda sucked because they let me borrow a click for a week and it had some problems.
I was riding on Rama 5 on my way home about to get to rachapruk and the power of the engine was slipping, so I thought maybe the clutch wasn't engaging so I stopped at the honda center. I told them that I the clutch is <deleted> and it needs to be fixed. They manager told one of the mechanics to test ride the bike and sure enough he came back say the same it's slipping. He told another mechanic something in thai and he already knew what it was. He opened up the case and all the copper metal was dripping out of the side a small metal filter. I asked the manager if it would be under warranty and she say bring my the service book and you should me okay. I was a little nervous about it because it's only been 15,000km and the engine new a big service I asked how much would the service cost and he said maybe like 6k.
They told me they gave me a new crankshaft. New piston with rod. New cylinder. So basically an all new bottom. That made me happy but then if it happens again then I don't want the bike. Before the service I told the manager I want a 650 because I travel far to work and if the 300 can't cut it I want to just switch up. This new bottom end better last longer than 15,000km or I'm not going to want it any more. Btw the bike isn't even a year old.
They serviced the bike for me for free and took care of me. Now I'm n the break in period again and I don't trust the bike any more. Now I just hope the bike will be okay.

with the right conditions any tire will spin up. But yea it about why spend extra money when you don't really need it. I'm just not in the best financial situation at the moment. If I had a spare 6k then share why not. But I would probably buy an exhaust or some steal breaded break lines with a brembo front master. But that will run me a little more than 6k
Still got the original? Not a lot of wear. Still dubious about the quality of factory fit.
It's a waste either way. IMO you don't really need it. But in my case I might need it as I get down to the far edge!!
Used to up sizes years ago, there is a limit. Fatter tyre looks good. Can waste a lot of money if you get it wrong.100/90r17 front not sure140/60 r17 back. You can go up size to 150 back and 110 front up to you
By the way its 110/70r17 front and 140/70r17 rear. Sure
The original tires are okay for me. I've got about 8k them and I'm in no hurry to change them. They slip a bit and don't give the confidence that some Pirelli would. But either way they work and get the job done.
About the same. No need to throw it into a corner, not a lot where I live. Will stick with original till needs a change. When changed will get a better tyre. The original is the only tyre I have ever had that has spun up.
Granted, ride the same. Know the tyres limits and ride within. No bling on my bike, still bog standard. Went to buy some gloves this week at an independent dealer, gorgeous Ducati Monster for 450,000 there. Thinking.
Yea I want something bigger now but the only bad thing about a Ducati is that you will be paying an arm and a leg every time you get it serviced.

Going back to that too speed video. I get about 165 on the gauge cluster with a completely stock bike. With an exhaust I should be able to pull 170 easily. It's coming soon btw

In Bangkok its easy to find parts. You can always look on Facebook cbr Thailand or something like that. Ems is always a good idea. Its cheap too.
-
Actually the space in which they stick out isn't more than a few millimeters. Hardly anything. The biggest difference was when they took out the bar stabilizers. The bike really felt like a big bike at that point but it lasted only a little while as I got used to it every quickly.
-
Yes they are standard in motogp but I got them to protect my break and clutch levers from car mirrors and and getting bumped for any reason. I've found myself next buses and they really help in tight quarters. In BKK everything is tight in traffic. It doesn't hurt to have a little extra protection. I've hit mirrors before with my clutch lever and break lever two diffrent times and but times I was able to save it. For my riding style it helps. To each there own.

It's more of the weight you lose. About 5kg. This system is a full race system.
The IXIL full system is like 18k
You can always just get a cheap Thai made exhaust and lose 5kgs but it won't look pretty!!
LL do you think if I ask bigwing to dyno my CB300,they'll do it?

It's not so bad but how much does it cost?

Where did you buy it, please H2C is that a shop??
Here is a Picture of what mine looks like H2CLooking for a radiator cover for this bike, any suggestions on where i could purchase one, want a red one if possible!!

Lol its only one side and I was looking at the picture with my iPad
-
Yup you got it the one on the right. I'm not sure of what side that should be on the bike as the picture could be flipped.

No those are fixed bolts welded to the body of the bike and hold the fender eliminator .
I was referring to the bolt that hold the turn signal. On the right

Tomorrow ....
I'm still looking at a few modification when I cameback from Canada I will stop at the Bikers shop BKK
One of the bolts on the rear turn signals was installed backwards.
Where did you get the fender eliminator?
-
yes i haven't mounted the license plate. If the police stop me I'll just tell them I haven't got it yet!! Yang mai maa krap
I don't know what you mean by that, you didn't mount the plate??Mine came in but I never put it on because I have to go over a bridge to go to work and I don't want to get ticketed for it.
In my necks of the wood (Pattaya) it's better to have a plate than none.
