Yep, just got back from Manila a week ago, where I supplied everything needed for a one year multiple entry which they confirmed (I spent a week with my lawyer and the local immigration office to ensure I had all the necessary documents). But the Manila consulate told me that they have a standing policy of not issuing more then a 90 day single entry. So with all paper work in hand I walked out of there with a 90 day, single entry, non extendable, non imi-b. And the staff are really terrible, slow, lazy, its true and they were more interested in getting me their resumes for work back in Thailand then helping me get a visa .

Just joined the board and just moved to Korat, will be making my 1st Visa run in this part of Thailand. I lived in Phuket for 4 years and did my visa runs to Ranong or Hati Yai which were pretty painless. But in a different post I saw the statements below about doing a boarder run to Aranyaprathet/Poi Pet.

"Don't forget the new requirements for a large amount of CASH when walking the border. "

And

"That large amount of cash would be 10,000 baht , is that correct ?"

So am a bit confused about this statement above, why would I need 10,000 baht for a simple in and out at the boarder?
