  1. The URL is http://www.chiangmai...news.php?id=513

I was a bit amazed by the content and the message of this article and I was not able to reply because I do not have a Facebook account, which, I think, you need to leave a comment on City News Chiang Mai.

The article gives us the impression that the so called paramedics with their old pick-ups with oversized engines do a good job, every night again, without being paid. What a good boys and girls!

    Two quotes:

"They are the guys, and girls, much like paramedics, that are the first people on the scene of an accident,..."

"He explains what happens when he arrives at the site of an accident: “First we check the victim’s vital signs, we apply first aid if necessary, and then call the hospital."

Hey, let's not be too naive. As everywhere it is all about money.

Here the man MAY have forgotten to mention one thing: First thing they do is stripping the victim of all his/her valuables, money, gold, watch, passport, etc.. And that is why their pick-up trucks have an oversized engine: They have to be on the spot as the first one.

A friend of mine has seen it about a month ago. She told the police who arrived at the scene of an accident minutes after the "paramedics" what she witnessed and the "rescue worker" was arrested on the spot.

In general, get real. No one is working for nothing night after night after night after night.

  2. Some 2 years ago I bought an older Honda Accord with a 2 litre aspirated carburettor engine and auto shift. The first thing I did was the conversion to LPG. It consumes 2 THB/KM in and around the city and on the highway I can do 600km for 800THB (90-100km/h). The installation did cost me 16.000 THB. The funny thing is that not one business which installs LPG can tell me the right procedure for tuning the LPG-flow. A friend (yes, also LPG in his car) figured out how to do it and it runs without any problem. Starts on LPG. Done some 50k km now I guess. LPG stations are really all over TH and I almost never have to switch to benzine. I am very happy with LPG.

  3. OP, just read this thread and I see your point.

You can use my GoPro Hero 2 with the waterproof housing to make videos on two conditions.

    1. You bring back my camera coming monday (23).

    2. You publish some shots here on this thread.

    Just PM me.

Hope this will cool down everyone a bit.

  4. What is the "herbal" part of this cigarette?

Can you give us some definition?

Or is it just the same non existing bs as

    herbal shampoo?

    herbal tea?

    herbal massage?

    herbal boutique hotel?

    herbal rocket fuel?

    herbal excrements?

    herbal you name it?

  5. Look up Whipping Racing on Facebook.

He has a small shop just off Chang Klan Road, sells mainly carting gear and some Shark bike helmets.

He did have some GoPro stuff in last time I was there but not sure which models.

    http://www.whippingr...index.php?mo=24

    Good luck with it all.

    Thanks mrclough,

    But:

    Photobug: No have.

Chiang Mai Sky Adventure: No have.

Several other camerashops in Airport Plaza: No have.

    NEW: Whipping Racing: No have.

Come on guys, any more suggestions?

    I need it right now!

  6. I just moved my Godaddy VPS to Amazon EC2 Singapore today.

Godaddy could work, but if there is an problem, they are really incompetent to help and fix the problems.

I still use them for DNS, which seems to work well.

EC2 has a one year free tier for micro server. I put my drupal websites on it and at least when testing, the performance was pretty good. I actually was planing to buy a small server instance, but seems that I don't need that at the moment.

Thanks Oilinky for mensioning that one year free tier for micro server of EC2. I had a look and it looks interesting. I like to test it and copy one of my joomla! sites on it. Are you sure that it will be free for one year as long as I use it for test only by myself? The pricing seems so complicated (and my English is not that good). Is it easy to cancel?
